This company has been excellent pre-sale (with help and advice, during the sale, couldn't do enough to help us to load the product and took the time to talk us through all our questions. After sale support is amazing, contact either by a call or via WhatsApp. I have contacted a number of times (my lack of knowledge and not reading the instructions), each time was courteous and helpful. Would absolutely recommend.

Great remote support! Support phone line needs 'tweaking'.
Hi. Worked with Electric Combi Boilers and they helped me sort out a technical issue where we needed to adjust the cold water flow regulator valve. We talked through it on a video call, and finally we have hot water running again in the house!
Only complaint is the support phone IVR sent me in a loop! Had to get through to a human in another way.

The boiler is great easy to install and set up , I have fit 2 in two months and are looking to do the next one in a few days, on my first install I have an issues with the guy from technical was quick to help me resolve it, I love this product, no gas, no flue, simple and easy, WTC heating

Would not recommend. Engineers have had to come out at least three times to change the same part. Not worth the money.

Product Bought - GUIVAL.BPL 12KW – SMALL ELECTRIC COMBI BOILER WITH IN-BUILT TANK FOR BATH, SHOWER & CENTRAL HEATING - Ideal for a small 2 bed flat.
I took a calculated risk getting the boiler, I had my doubts, but I stand by my decision to purchase.
The service 5* Stars.
GREAT SERVICE, no complaints rapid response, easy to get a hold of always provide a solution, have diagnosed issues over the phone to avoid unnecessary call out charges.
The product itself I would give 3.5* Stars.
The boiler does what it says. There are no claims that it is cheap to run, my personal experience it was marginally more expensive than living in a dual fuel property. Cheaper and more efficient than an Economy 7 property.
Call out process 4* Stars.
Boiler repaired straight away great service! Reason I didn’t give a 5* is the call out fee is a bit high.
I bought the boiler in 2018 have had 3 issues with it 2/3 resolved over the phone. 1st part failure in 6 years I think that’s pretty good for a full electric combi.
Considerations should be made about the space you need heated up, that does play a part in the overall experience of the boiler. In hindsight the only thing I would’ve have done different is use wet central heating via the ECBC combined with the new energy efficient electric radiators.

I have thought long and hard about whether to leave a negative review - my experience has been overwhelmingly negative and I regret the purchase - but I'm also aware of what an impact these negative reviews can have. I genuinely think that it was a mistake buying an electric combi-boiler and if you have any other choice, I would pause and consider your options. If you have to buy an ECB, then by all means this company is not terrible, although this particular product is not great, there's nothing smart about it, the settings are complex, the app is complete crap and the customer service is sporadic (albeit friendly when you reach her)...hmm, perhaps I don't have anything positive to say.
Here are the key facts that they neglect to tell you, when they say it's 100% efficient, they compare it with gas, but they neglect to tell you that it will take much much longer to get to temperature than a conventional boiler, it will run full bore throughout, and it is seriously expensive as a result! I'm talking about electricity bills of £900 per month, throughout the winter, in a house that is very well insulated. Yes, no doubt the response will come that it's a large house with UFH throughout, but then why did they spec this boiler for me? Why didn't they warn me that it would be running ALL THE TIME!? I am now going to have to spend thousands more to rip this out (now worthless of course) and put in ASHP. I'm gutted. Please heed my warning, unless you're in a small apartment and/or have no other option, avoid this product, it is as inefficient as trying to heat your house with electric fan heaters...but slower!

- Efficiency Comparison: our efficiency comparisons are based on the IMQ reports and tests for certification that can be checked on our website. The Elektra SMART Silvertouch operates at 99.99% efficiency at the point of use, ensuring maximum energy utilisation for heating and hot water.
- Property Size and Heating Requirements: Your property, with over 300 square meters and a combination heating system, demands a substantial heating solution. The 12kW boiler you purchased is designed to handle such requirements, but it is expected to take longer to heat such a large area. This was communicated during the initial consultation.
- Modulation and Running Time: The boiler modulates between 12kW down to 2kW depending on the demand and insulation of the property. The assertion that the boiler runs at full capacity constantly is not accurate. Proper insulation and heat loss management are crucial for optimal performance. In your case, the boiler modulates between 4-6 kW, when not in full demand, as indicated by the data provided during the survey. If the boiler had been working at full capacity at the suggested usage amount of 20 hours per day (related by yourself), the usage for 30 days would have been close to 7200 kW just for the boiler.
- Electricity Bills: The reported £900 monthly electricity bill includes the total electricity usage of your entire property, not just the boiler. Considering the size and heating method (underfloor heating throughout), this level of consumption is within the expected range for the winter months you provided us information on, being the highest from December to January. Additionally, the increase in electricity tariffs has significantly impacted costs. For reference, tariffs have risen from £0.12 per kWh in 2020 to £0.35-£0.50 per kWh currently. If the boiler were running at full demand for 20 hours a day, in a month the usage would’ve been 7200kW, which at the current tariff would mean £2520 per month.
- Communication and Support: Throughout the entire process, we have maintained open communication and provided support. To address your concerns, we organized a free survey to gather detailed information and prepared a comprehensive report. Our findings confirmed that the boiler operates efficiently within its designed parameters.
Survey Findings:
Usage Data: The highest electricity usage period was between December 2023 - January 2024, with a total usage of about 3679 kW for the entire property, including the boiler.
Efficiency: The boiler is 99.99% efficient at the point of use and modulates as expected, operating between 4-6 kW.
Electricity Costs: The increased electricity bills are primarily due to the high tariff rates. If the boiler were running at full capacity for 20 hours per day, the usage would be approximately 7200 kW per month translating it to about £2520 per month. However, the actual usage data indicates modulation and efficient performance.
Having said all that, the product is true to its claims and does what it says.

Rapid delivery. Overall good service only let down by unclear and incomplete paper and online instructions. Once we could get hold of someone to speak to (which was a challenge in itself) he was able to resolve the issues.

Jaz is a hero!
Jaz was super professional, timely and couldn't have been more helpful! My Fiamma Elektra boiler is installed in the attic of a top floor flat on a busy road, which usualy would cause a tradesperson to grumble but he was so kind in getting my boiler fixed, replacing 2 parts (diverter valve & automatic air vent) which needed changing, and servicing the boiler too. Delighted to have it back up and running properly, and looking forward to not having to constantly climb up into the attic to repressurise my boiler anymore! The diverter valve was more expensive than I expected (compared to a traditional boiler) but I'm just pleased to have it working again!

I can't recommend an electric combi boiler
This is more about the Fiamma boiler itself, to be fair the company were helpful on the occasion I contacted them, (first boiler failure) and due to the expense of having one of their engineers out I had a local engineer who then communicated by phone with one of the Electricboilercompany technicians.
I'm disappointed that the boiler has had an internal leak 3 times now, from the same joint. First occasion already mentioned, on the second I called the original installer back (a very experienced local heating engineer) as there was a visible leak. The same joint was leaking again, next to the pump.
Third time was when the boiler had just gone out of warranty, (another minus point - the warranty is a ridiculously short 2 years) so again I called a local heating engineer. The digital pressure sensor had failed, as a small ongoing leak from the same joint had caused a wire to pop out of the sensor. This engineer said that the pump was an odd design, and that he would need to try washers to permanently cure the seeping.
Other problems with this boiler is that a shower does not last long at all if the outside temperature is at all cold. The heating elements for both heating and water consistently go to a higher temperature than I have them set at (60 for both) so a shower starts off scalding hot but after 3 or 4 minutes is only warm.
Plus the running cost is astronomical.
After just over 2 years I'm giving up and going for ASHP despite the initial cost.

I've recently had one of those installed. Definitely wouldn't recommend. Frequently needs resetting; the controls are complicated; online support (manuals, troubleshooting etc.) poor.

Plumber has asked £260 for a boiler fan…
Plumber has asked £260 for a boiler fan without any guarantee to run my boiler. Instead I bought the fan from Euro boiler parts just for £33. They sent me the part in 1 day.
They are very quick to refund if you have any issue and very good communication.

First time installing new range
First time installing new range, installed range previous to their current one
had a good experience, I found they was very helpful the tecnical department was also very helpful easy to get through to, it was a good boiler with no issues to date.
So decided to use them again, this time was not as straight forward unfortunately, no one was available in the tecnical department, was told we would be called, had to call back a few times to chase, eventually spoke to someone hours later, some fittings was not in the installation box that was not included which we wasn’t informed of before hand so delayed us, not major issue or rare fitting, easily collected from anywhere half inch copper to irons, aftercare, support and good communication is important for us with our manufactures just felt it lacked this time around, so has not given me confidence in installing more.
The product itself is a good boiler, easy enough to install.
