Castle Heaters 3kw outdoor heater

I bought a 3kw outdoor heater for our bbq area, it arrived promptly, unfortunately damaged in transit. I immediately phoned to report the damage, and pleasantly surprised to hear they would send a replacement out straight away rather than wait to receive the damaged unit. It arrived the next day, in good condition, we had it fitted in time for a planned bbq at the weekend. I wish all customer service was as obliging and efficient as this!

Your review states that you experienced a long wait for your order, but this is not accurate and we do need to correct the record for anyone reading.

You placed your order on 10/06, selected 48‑hour delivery to Northern Ireland, and the parcel was delivered on 12/06 — exactly within the paid delivery timeframe.

We understand that delivery speed is important, but in this case the order was dispatched promptly and arrived on time. Reviews should reflect the actual experience, and suggesting there was a long delay is misleading to other customers.

SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE and the…

2 poles bought in the 15/01/26 £659.90. Order number #77802ECW hoses supplied with poles.

1st email sent 30/05/26
2nd email sent 02/06/26
23rd email sent 03/0626 these were sent via your contact link on your webpage.

I haven’t communicated with you about the rusty quick release that snapped. After 4 months I’d expect more. I’ve had to secure it with a screw. Please do review and check these details

SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE and the product is poor.

1) no replacement sections.
2) the quick release button that attaches the brush to the stem has rusted and snapped. Brush won’t stay on.
3)Anti spin?
4)Hose is flimsy and useless in hot weather.
Bought 2 poles and both need replacing after 4 month

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We’ve looked into this carefully, and we do want to clarify a few points for anyone reading, as the details in your review don’t match the information we have on record.

The only order we can find under your name is for two brush heads and a lever. We cannot see any orders for poles, hoses, or replacement sections, and we also haven’t received any emails or WhatsApp messages from you reporting issues or requesting support. If we had been contacted, we would of course have helped straight away.

Because of this, some of the points raised don’t relate to the items purchased:

Replacement pole sections – no poles were ordered.

Quick‑release button – we haven’t had any communication about this fault.

Anti‑spin – the items purchased don’t include anti‑spin features.

Hose issues – we haven’t supplied any hose.

“Bought 2 poles” – we have no record of any pole purchases under your name.

We’re always happy to help resolve genuine product issues, so if you believe the order may have been placed under a different name or account, please get in touch and we’ll look into it properly.

Catastrophicial experience

Catastrophicial experience. I bought a high pressure hose reel that I can't use because to wind it up I have to dismantle it every time. I was most disappointed by the seller's explanation, because they actually admitted that they were selling something that could not be used. It was not worth it for me to return the reel to them because of the excessive costs of sending it from the EU to England.

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear that your experience hasn’t been as smooth as it should have been.

I’ve looked into your order and the email conversation, and it appears there was some misunderstanding around how the hose reel operates. The reel is designed to be used with the hose fully unwound, and then rewound after use — it does not need to be dismantled each time. I’m sorry if this wasn’t made clear enough in our communication.

We never intend to sell a product that “cannot be used”, and I apologise if our explanation came across that way. The reel is fully functional, but I appreciate that it may not have matched your expectations.

Regarding the return, we completely understand that international shipping costs can be high, and we never want a customer to feel stuck with an item. If you would like us to look at alternative solutions, we’re more than happy to help.

I phoned before ordering and was told…

I phoned before ordering and was told the fuel tank and bracket were in stock. Based on that information I placed the order and was given an expected delivery date. When the delivery date passed, I had to chase multiple times before being told the items were actually out of stock. This has caused significant delays to my business, including customer jobs that were booked based on the original delivery information. After further chasing I requested a refund. My issue is not with stock shortages, which can happen, but with being told the items were available when they were not and the lack of communication afterwards.

You're absolutely right that being told an item is in stock when it isn't is a different issue to a stock shortage itself, and I completely understand the frustration this caused, particularly given the impact on your own customer bookings. That communication breakdown is on us, and it shouldn't have taken multiple chases on your part to get clarity on what was actually happening with your order.

I'd like to look into this in more detail and make sure your refund has gone through smoothly. Ok so this was one of the worst online…

Ok so this was one of the worst online purchase experiences I have ever had. I purchased the product on the 27/5/26, it arrived 3 days later, unfortunately the packaging was battered and there were lots of broken parts in the box, although the main unit looked undamaged!! I contacted customer service to explain and included pictures as I knew they would ask for them, what followed was a farcical communication in which they repeatedly sent the wrong replacement parts, even though I called and emailed to ensure they had the correct info, they seem to only be able to email once a day so, if you replied to them at 9am, you have to wait till the following day for a reply, which means it all takes so long!!! after lots of calls, emails, and more pictures, I eventually got replacement parts and tried to use the unit, despite its appearance it didn't work, I contacted them straight away but again experienced the one email a day issue!! I have now returned to until with lots of poor communication and only received my refund today, nearly 4 weeks later!! Shocking service! They only apologised once I pointed out they hadn't!! I have to say I would advise you to take your money elsewhere!!

Looking back through this, I can see the delivery arrived damaged, the replacement parts process took far longer than it should have, and our email turnaround simply wasn't fast enough to keep things moving at the pace you needed. That's not the standard of service we aim to provide and I completely understand your frustration, particularly given the impact on your ability to use the machine for work.

I can confirm your refund of £945.00 has been processed, and I've also arranged for your £8.95 shipping cost to be refunded as well, so that should now be fully resolved.

We'll be using this as a learning point internally, particularly around how we manage parts replacements and our response times. Thank you for your patience throughout, and I'm sorry we didn't get this right for you the first time.

Kiam Clamped Carbon Fibre Gutter Vac Pole Kits

I bought a set of the Kiam clamped carbon poles ( 22.01.26) first use of them was in February and a couple of them broke after only a few times of use, domestic use. The clamps are poor, the clamp relies on a tiny piece of plastic formed on the clamp which sits in between a notch in the carbon pole, the plastic 'Bit' just shears off! The clamps then just spin regardless.

I contacted them on the 15th April with the issue. It took a couple of weeks to sort the problem, back and forth emails which were unnecessary. Customer service was ok but the emails became less informal and short, like they couldn't be bothered, not very professional.

I did however receive replacement poles.

It was disappointing to find they do not sell the replacements clamps, which seems odd and ridiculous, every other manufacturer does?

Even more disappointing, I now today found ALL my poles clamps have worn, including the clamp on the carbon goose neck. I don't clear gutters day in day out so it's extremely disappointing paying all that money out for them now to be broken with little use!

I'm not sure I want the hassle sorting this with customer service all over again.

The Kiam Carbon Clamped Poles are not fit for purpose. And it's ridiculous you cant buy spare clamps/ parts. The cost of products and the amount customers spend at Equip2Clean you should expect better service.

My advice is to avoid.

Hi Ben, Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback — it's genuinely useful and I'm sorry to hear you've had ongoing problems with the clamps on your Kiam carbon pole kit.

You've raised a fair point about the clamp design — if the plastic locating piece is shearing off across multiple poles, including after a replacement, that's clearly not good enough for the price point and we want to get to the bottom of why this is happening. I'm also sorry the communication during your first contact with us didn't feel as personal as it should have — that's not the standard we expect from our team and I'll be feeding this back.

On the spare parts point, I completely understand the frustration — it would make far more sense to be able to replace a worn clamp rather than the whole pole, and I'll be raising this internally as something we should look at offering.
