Excellent service and very helpful staff

The service

Staff were polite & friendly. Although I took it in for a new wing mirror & some bodywork following a cyclist riding into my car as he came out of. Side road, I’d forgotten there’d been a warning light for an oil change. This was picked up & recommended along with a price. I would have had to bring it in again so it saved me another journey & time wasted sitting around.

Car picked up as arranged by very pleasant driver. Service carried out quickly, car returned by 1.00pm

Their agent Obi was very helpful.

Mughera made the experience completely stress free. She was friendly, approachable and very professional

Altrincham Branch is great, the staff are first class, everything was straight forward.
I’ve used EvansHalshaw for the last14years, but this was the first time I used this branch. I will definitely be returning for future purchases.
They are very welcoming, knowledgeable, professional and very pleasant individuals.
I felt valued as a customer as soon as I entered the doors.
I was offered a choice of hot or cold drinks as soon as my husband and I walked in.
I was what I was looking for and once I said what I wanted, but wasn’t entirely sure which model, I was asked to sit in each car I liked and if I thought I could see myself driving it or was it not what I wanted. I didn’t feel pressured at all and the whole process from start to end was first class service. I definitely felt valued as a customer.

I waited a while to leave this review, as I wanted to see how they would handle my complaint. However, their post sales customer service has been virtually non existent.

I purchased a car from the Altrincham branch.

1. They Completed a service without resetting it, they then sent me on a wild goose chase to see if my local branch could fix their error, knowing full well they couldn’t.
Local branch was pretty useless too, they never returned any of my calls.

2. The car had an Outstanding safety recall, which I only found out by chance after talking to BMW to try and fix the issue with the service.

3. They completed an MOT with no advisories. This is a massive red flag!

A few months later after putting it into a BMW garage to fix the safety recall, a health check was completed.
- all brake discs severely corroded.
- brake pads gone, essentially they put new pads on the corroded discs where they should have replaced the discs.
- 3 severely cracked/perished/worn tyres, they admitted on a phone call the tyres were cracked when they had the car, yet it wasn't on the MOT as an advisory.
- oil over filled + other issues, well over £1600+ to fix. Not acceptable when paying 14k for a car!

BMW also confirmed that the break discs do not corrode to the level they had in the time/distance I have covered in the car. EH was aware of these issues which should have been included as advisories on the MOT.

The car has been miss-sold, they weren’t transparent with the issues they found and with the safety recall outstanding was unsafe.

I have since taken it to another EH branch for a health check, which they were meant to forward but they haven’t.

Beware of this company, post sales customer service is incredibly poor!

If I hadn’t have taken it to BMW for the recall I’d have been none the wiser & still driving an unsafe vehicle!
