Evans Halshaw - Ford Chorley レビュー 

I bought a car from EH Chorley under false pretences. At no point in the purchase process was it mentioned to me that the car had no service history. They sold the car to me telling me it had a year on its Fiat warranty left over (a requirement of this warranty is that it must have full service history to apply). When I could't find the service documentation after purchase they then informed me that it didn't exist.

I spoke to Carl who offered to extend the EH warranty for free and to get it booked in for a service. This does not mitigate the breach of the consumer rights act. As soon as I mentioned that I was considering my options, this offer was withdrawn. I asked for all conversations to be put into writing which he refused. I asked to be escalated to a manager which he also refused.

I submitted a formal complaint and was told a manager would ring me back today. I phoned at 11 as I was still waiting to hear from them and was told I would hear back in half an hour. I am still waiting 2 hours later. No choice but to escalate through the consumer rights act as the goods are not as described.

Calm and pleasant salesman no obvious pressure allowed us to consider all aspects. Ben was very good explaining the vehicle and thorough with explanations of all extra products purchased by us. The follow up servicing courtesy car etc we’re all arranged and explained. Good experience overall.

I recently dealt with Ben at the Chorley branch after my car was written off, and I couldn’t have asked for better support during a stressful time. I honestly wasn’t sure what I wanted in a replacement car, but Ben was incredibly patient and took the time to understand my needs. He asked me about my must have and deal breakers, and really listened.

After looking through about 10 different cars, and test driving one, Ben managed to find the perfect car - one that both my partner and I are really happy with. The whole process was quick and smooth and he even went out of his way to collect the car from another branch to make things easier for me and take me to tax the vehicle.

I truly appreciated his professionalism, patience and care. Would definitely recommend Ben at Evan’s Halshaw to anyone looking for a new car, especially if your not quite sure what you want, he’ll help you figure out without any pressure.

Found a car at we liked the look of at Chorley. Reserved it online on Sunday evening and booked a test drive for the following Saturday. On Monday morning we received a call from Ben who confirmed the appointment, talked me through the spec and history of the car. Ben also did an extra video of the car showing all the extras the car has and emailed to us to view at our leisure. As we were limited for time on the Saturday Ben also suggested we send him our driving license details through so he could get our the insurance sorted ready for the test drive. When we arrived we received a warm welcome from Ben, and a lovely coffee. Ben talked us through the car and all its features, honestly. We test drove the car and loved it. Ben talked us through add ons, service, paint plans etc. Needles to say we did purchase a lovely Ford Puma. From start to finish Ben was knowledgeable, honest and friendly, while still remaining professional.

Frustrated and disappointed. Tesh at the Chorley branch was so helpful during the purchase of our used Dacia Jogger, which initially only had one key. We paid a deposit in 5 April and were told that a second key would be supplied when we collected the car on 21 April. Not only had the key been forgotten about but I suspect they only started to valet the car when we turned up. The valet was cut short once we had completed the payment and paperwork. It was therefore substandard. The car itself is great but we are still waiting now, on 31 May, for the second key. This was mentioned by us during the courtesy call from Evans Halshaw to check that we were happy. It has been mentioned since on subsequent calls to them. "We'll ring you back." Nothing. "The guy who does the keys had been really busy." Nothing. "We'll ring you back." Nothing. Today I rang to be told "I'll just put you on hold while I get the manager who deals with it." I hung up after fifteen minutes of being on hold. Nobody has called us back.

Overall, I would say a good sales experience but terrible after sales. Don't hand any money over until everything is to your satisfaction.

Ben supported me in purchasing the C4 from EH. The first thing I noticed about Ben is he listened a lot, which was handy as I talk waaay too much. He positively responded to my thoughts and requests in what tends to be considered as a 'customer centred approach' (I've worked in customer service for over 25 years, so that's why I pick up on these things). His tone of voice was a big part of this as I got really good vibes from how he spoke and what he said, having impressive answers to the majority of my questions (car makers have so many models that it must be hard to know one from the other with all the intricacies). A few of the other places I was considering buying from were calling me almost every day which became annoying but Ben didn't do this, which was another plus. He recognised that I knew how to contact him if I needed to. Really glad to have been supported by what I've interpreted to be an awesome chap and I'm loving the new car and can't believe it's mine. Thanks pal!

Great company to use , We dealt with Ben he was brilliant, he explained everything thoroughly and nothing was too much trouble for him . Everything was dealt with very quickly from the test drive to the paperwork and they also took our old car in part ex .Would highly recommend this dealership.
