Simply the best service department in Bedfordshire

Came to look at a Puma, Cerys was very helpful in finding a car that met my needs and within my price range. She explained everything in lots of detail and made the whole experience very comfortable and we left buying a car that we are very happy with.

We had been looking for a new car for some time and had experienced some very unprofessional car dealers and very poor quality cars and were naturally beginning to lose faith. We came across our car on AutoTrader and called through to Evans Halshaw. Jacob answered the call and I immediately felt at ease and like I was in very capable hands.
We made an appointment and went to look at the car the following day. Jacob showed us around and explained everything in great detail. He was very knowledgable, polite and patient and understood our needs well. The car was immaculately presented so we were delighted to put a deposit down. Jacob made the process seamless from start to finish. What a great asset he is to your company! Thanks again Jacob!

I was happy with the sales people at time of sale however very unhappy that my car wasn't washed or valeted before I picked it up. After paying £15000 for a car I would expect it do be clean.

So, I bought a ford fiesta privately last year and in my haste due to really needing a car at the time I failed to check that the car had the wheel lock nut key!! It was only when I had to remove a wheel that I realised. I went to multiple independent mechanics who were all helpful and one managed to get my damaged wheel off he then advised that instead of being charged between 60-150 pound, and possibly damaging my alloys that I should go to Ford who will be able to order me a replacement key this would be quicker and cheaper to take the remaining wheels off. I looked on the ford website which states:

"You can obtain a replacement locking wheel nut key and replacement locking wheel nuts from an authorised dealer using the reference number certificate. If you no longer have the key card, speak to your Ford dealership who will be happy to assist"

When I arrived at Ford there was 5 employee's in the showroom and no customers, no one greeted me so I made my way over to a desk where two employee's were talking, they both saw me and continued their conversation before one of them walked off, the remaining guy asked if he could help and I explained my situation, he replied saying you don't have your rnc so there is nothing we can do and even if you did have it it would cost you £200. I found this response rude, unhelpful and dismissive as it was like he was implying that I wouldn't have £200. He then went back to his computer so I left. How can I go to 4 plus independent machanics and they all gave me a price between 60-150 eventhough they didn't have the correct tools so would take them a long time to get them off yet Ford want to charge 200 for a key that costs 20-40 pound that would have the nuts off in minutes, I would have expected the ford guy to at least look at my car as surely knowing the make and size he would be able to tell which key as he works for Ford and knows Ford cars. Every machanic I spoke with advised going to Ford and every machanic told me of the other dealerships that they deal with regularly who replace these keys for 20-40 pounds. Definitely won't be going to Ford Bedford when I change my car later this year the guy who served me did not come across as happy to assist as their webpage advises.

Van in for service, courtesy van provided, ready next day, remedial work cheaper than my local garage

Booked an appointment online to have a look at a car with a few others in mind. Sat down with Cerys who was really helpful and discussed what I was looking for and what my options were. The whole way along she would ask if I had any concerns or questions. The information she gave was really useful and she was so helpful and friendly! Happy to drive away with my car and couldn't have asked for better service.

We popped into have a look at a Ford Puma and dealt with Melle. She was very helpful and took time to talk through the car and purchase options. With visiting other car sales companies, this was the first time that we felt listen to and not rushed in being sold a car. Melle followed up with us, so see if we had any further question and was not at all pushy. We appreciated this, as didnt want to feel rushed or pressurised in to buying something.

We reserved a car online and when we came to purchase, we did not like it. We found another that we liked more and Jacob Inskip was wonderful in arranging to view, answer questions and support us through the sale. We drove off the same day. Great service, thanks Jacob, we won’t be back again in a hurry as we are over 2 hours away but we really appreciated your time and effort to ensure we were happy customers.
