Recently bought a Hyundai Tucson from Jordan at Evans Halshaw Motherwell. Felt a bit hoodwinked after the fact though, as the forecourt sticker had a price of £11400, and when we quibbled, he spoke to his manager and got the price down to £11,000 to secure our business. However, we were dismayed to find that the car was already being advertised on autotrader for £11,000 so was a bit miffed at the dishonesty. All-in-all, the transaction was fairly seamless and Jordan was friendly and helpful, and didn’t pressure us. But the dishonesty relating to the price left a bad taste in our mouths.

I usually hate dealing with car salespeople, but I was pleasantly surprised with my recent experience at Evans Halshaw in Motherwell. What a lovely guy Abbas Sabri is and a real credit to the sales team. Extremely pleasant and efficient, he made our recent purchase/trade in seamless.

Had a very good experience at Evans Halshaw Motherwell. Abbas was very knowledgeable and friendly and trade in and purchase of new car went smoothly.

Personally I would not buy another car from this dealership as salesman sells car with fault and after sales is a complete joke. I bought a Jaguar Epace from Evans Halshaw Motherwell 4th August this year, I reported to them that car parking sensors would did not work, was informed that car could not be looked at until 6th September 2023. Drove car to dealership from Perth at own cost and after walking around Motherwell for 5hrs was informed that car requires 2 front sensors and they have ordered these sensors from Jaguer.

Today I contacted Evans Halshaw to find out what is happening about repair to car, please read following texts
Brought car back week past Wednesday for repair as arranged which also cost me time and fuel for a car which should of been 100% checked but unfortunately this vehicle was not given the vehicle check regarding the issue with Parking Sensors etc. I was informed by your service department that the car required 2 front sensors and they would now ordered them from Jaguar.
(1) Why is it costing me time and money ( fuel) to have a repair carried out which is no fault of ours.
(2) Why are we having to contact your premises to get update on repair.
(3) The poor Gaurdx covering which was supposed to give show room condition totally failed (as per discussion)car was given a quick wash before I pick it up from your service team member only to find car covered in white residue which had harddoned onto paint work which I promptly got the service chap to look at and he did offer the car to be washed again but unfortunately I had already wasted enough time in Motherwell.
(4) When will this vehicle be repaired or can we now have it repaired by Jaguer in Perth as my wife has still not driven it.
(5) If I can't have satisfactory answers to the above we will return vehicle for full refund.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue with car ,i have spoken with the aftersales dept ie. service dept & theywill be in contact with yourself once cars repaired, I hope this helps .JL

Does not really help as car is in Perth not with your service department
I do not have much hope of having car repaired as JL did not even read my email properly and also looks that I will more than likely have to take car back to Motherwell again at own cost.
