Everyone polite and helpful. New tyres fitted same day

Probably the worst experience I’ve had at a dealership. Waited in person from 9:30am till 3pm for an MOT and service, only to get the car back and find another error light on, then told that they can’t do anything about it. Will look elsewhere for my next car.

I recently purchased my new MG ZS Trophy from MG Grantham and I honestly couldn’t be happier with both the car and the whole experience.

Firstly, I absolutely love the car! You get so much for your money, with all the gadgets, technology and mod cons you could possibly need and plenty more besides. The 7-year warranty is fantastic, and having full AA breakdown cover and a guaranteed courtesy car included is an added bonus. In fact, it saved me £65 on my insurance, so you really can’t argue with that!

The whole sales team at Grantham were friendly, welcoming and helpful. What stood out to me most was that there was absolutely no hard sell. Nobody pounced on us or tried to push us into buying something that wasn’t right for us. Had they done that, I probably would have walked away!

We initially went to look at a used car, but after seeing the deal MG were offering, we decided that buying a brand-new car made much more sense for us.

We dealt with William Buckley, who was absolutely lovely. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and genuinely took the time to listen to what we wanted and needed. We visited on Saturday to test drive and gather the information we needed and Sunday we went to purchase a car and then collected our new car on Monday, and throughout the whole process we never felt rushed or pressured.

William went through everything with us, including the different colours, protection options, HP and PCP finance options, what we wanted included and what we didn’t. He even worked through different scenarios with us so we could make sure we were making the right decision for our circumstances. And the fact that he actually encouraged us to go away and think about everything after our first visit, was really appreciated and went a long way in us deciding whether to purchase from MG or not.

Buying a car had become something I was dreading, as I’d been looking at different makes and models for months and found the whole process quite overwhelming. Yet I kept coming back to the MG ZS — and I’m so glad I did!

I wasn't sure about going for an automatic after driving a manual for years, but I can honestly say I’ll never go back! The drive is so relaxing and enjoyable.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my new MG ZS Trophy or with the service I received from MG Grantham. A genuinely pleasant and stress-free car-buying experience.

I wanted to provide some feedback regarding my experience on Friday.

I was very happy with the service team. The young girl looking after me was lovely and kept me updated throughout the day, which I really appreciated.

However, after waiting approximately 6½ hours for my vehicle, I was disappointed when it came down and had not been washed. I mentioned this after paying my bill, and the car was then taken back up to be washed.

Unfortunately, when it came back down, it appeared that it had simply been sprayed with water and left. By the time it returned to me, the water had dried, leaving water marks all over the vehicle. I again mentioned that the car hadn’t actually been dried. The young lady spoke to the valeting team about this, and from their facial expressions and the way they reacted, it seemed they were unhappy about being asked to do it, as they appeared to be getting ready to leave for the day.

I have to say that this really took away from what had otherwise been a good service experience. When the gentleman eventually handed my car back to me, I also found his manner quite rude, which was disappointing, particularly after spending a considerable amount of money with you.

From my very first contact with MG Grantham, I found the team to be incredibly helpful, professional and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble, and they genuinely wanted to help resolve my issues. Everything was explained clearly throughout the process, and I felt well informed every step of the way. Thank you to the whole team for providing such excellent customer service.

I have had the best experience at Evans Halshaw, Grantham when I part exchanged my Corsa for a shiny, red, Mercedes A class sports hatchback. Not only was it a good deal, the car is in excellent condition and all the members of staff treated me with courtesy and friendly efficiency. Nothing was too much trouble. As an older lady I felt respected and not rushed into the purchase, as I have experienced at other showrooms. The after sales has also been exemplary. William is a gent! Well done to Andy and the whole team at Grantham.
