Everything is top quality the gentlemen I saw called Ian was excellent and really made sure I was looked after.

I had a smooth experience buying a car from here, Matthew was really helpful and I would recommend coming here to buy a car!

I believe they are trustworthy, I want the job done properly, I bought the car from new from here and apart from once I have always been to E-V for mot and service.

The team at Horsforth is outstanding. I was very well looked after, as is the norm, after a very poor experience with Evans Halshaw Geldard Road branch. Chalk and cheese.

Really helpful service. Met with a smile by Debbie. Received a call and text with an update on the service, what was found and recommended. Service completed in good time. Car was sparkling when I picked it up.

I had my car serviced and MOT by Evans Halshaw Debbie was brilliant and so was the Tech the video that is sent of your vehicle is brilliant. And price wise i did not think it was bad at all for what i had done. Would i use them again yes i would brilliant service and reasonable prices.

Evans Halshaw were recommended to me by a personal friend and they did their utmost to find the car that I wanted in my price range, which was high spec and well maintained. I got the date of my MOT incorrect but they still fitted me in, without complaint. My only issue was that my tyres needed air and they did not do that for me, which would have been nice but overall my experience was good.

We couldn’t recommend Ihsaan enough at Evans Halshaw , he was very friendly and very helpful , thank you again

I have a service plan. Excellent service (as always) from booking procedure to the end of the procedure. Great help from Ian on reception/booking in. Great, clean, courtesy car. From start to finish I have had an excellent experience with the service team. Will the service manager always goes above and beyond, professional and friendly. The Horsforth Vauxhall Garage are an amazing team. I have the service plan.
I recieved a call to get my car service booked in. I was sent emails and messages with the service progress, which was very reassuring.
I recieved a call from Nawaz. He was very helpful and explained the faults that needed addressing.
I left the car with them. All works complete and I had my car back in 24hrs.
I can not thank them enough for the service they provide. I am very pleased to be a ongoing customer at Vauxhall Horsforth.

Absolutely no go for a car
They have knocked my nearly £7000 and as for the warranty they try to sell it actually means nothing don’t buy a car from even halshaw dealers it’s will be a total disaster for you.

Absolutely disgusted with this dealership!!! Dealt with Max on the purchase of a Volvo XC40 inscription pro reg:SY70USP (which is now back for sale with them after I rejected the vehicle upon delivery this morning)
I viewed and test drove the car 17th Jan 2026
Mechanically, there was a warning light on the dash regarding the battery which I was told was because the car wouldn’t start and needed a new battery which they fitted and because of the computer needed to be re-set, possibly by Volvo but I was assured this was the only reason for this and the car had no other faults.
I drove the car and it drove nicely and seemed sound mechanically with my
Limited knowledge.
The car was an ex-mobility car and as such the interior had a lot of premature scratches and marks throughout and was strangely on the forecourt with the rear of the roof covered in thick Alsatian type dog hair…Not acceptable at all. The exterior had imperfections such as lacquer runs on the bumper, an obvious scratch on the back drivers side passenger door and lots of fine scuffs/scratches that I was assured would come out and would go to the body shop where the ‘amazing in house body shop team’ would work wonders with all the scratches/marks I was unhappy with; including the interior marks, particularly on the back of the drivers seat. I felt nervous to accept this but put my trust in Max as he seemed genuine and confident that all my worries would easily be resolved and told me there was nothing I pointed out that could not be rectified.
I agreed to the purchase on the promise that the fault was resolved, all body work issues were resolved, car fully valeted and that on the unlikely event I wasn’t happy on collection I would receive a full refund. Max also promised for pictures and videos would be sent to me on completion of this work which never materialised.
I was told the car had spent a full day in the body shop and all work completed!car was valeted and just needed battery fault sorting.
I was then told the car had been to Volvo who sent them away with instructions to sort the battery fault.
I was expected to collect the car Saturday 24th Jan 2026
I was then informed that the instructions didn’t work and subsequently the car had now had to go to Volvo and would be after the weekend before they knew anything.
I felt I was being thrown a line at this point and asked Max if there was a problem I wanted to know the truth. He assured me
There was nothing to worry about.
After chasing answers woth no response I was finally told the car was ready but had to be valeted again after being to Volvo …why? I highly doubt this is accurate if only being with to them for a battery reset?!?!
Because of this I couldn’t go to collect on the day I planned and subsequently arranged for the car to be delivered Saturday 31st January.
Friday the 30th was stressful with trying to sort the payment out which kept being sent through incorrectly and a ‘administration charge’ of £99 being added on without prior knowledge!
Max took this off, with attitude I might add before sending through the final correct bill which I paid immediately £18,880!!! As it happened this day I was trying to celebrate my 40th birthday which Max was fully aware of but gave no consideration to the fact I had told him
I would be out and away for my birthday.
Time I have wasted which I will never get back.
However, at this point all my faith had been put into the car being right, Max keeping his word and ultimately the dealership delivering on their promise!
I was excited and as a family we were excited to receive what we thought would be our new car!
I was told be Max the car was being collected at 9am from the dealership and would be coming straight to me. I live one hour and 15mins away so was expecting the car 10:15-30am!At 10:05 I received a message from the delivery driver telling me he would be with me at 11:30!!
The car eventually arrived and all the excitement very quickly changed to deep disappointment! None of the work had been done which had been promised with the exception of the bumper. The obvious scratch on the side had been covered with a touch up pen which my 9 year old could have done a better job of. No deep polish which would have removed the surface marks, no follow through on anything I had been promised.
I called Max.
What a terrible attitude I received! No apology, no offer of resolution, a lie that the car had been fully polished so any marks left were ‘just how it is’ when I disagreed Max said ‘look fine, if you’re not happy with it the driver will take it back and you’ll be refunded! It was said with such nonchalant attitude without any care that’s exactly what I did. The driver could do nothing but apologise, he was embarrassed and said my treatment was disgusting and he would not accept the car as it was!
Just avoid this dealership! I don’t want anyone to feel how I do now

I'm rating 5 stars out of 5 because Debbie really made my experience, straight away upon arrival I was greeted with a smile and asked how I was and to take a seat this felt very welcoming, she was very friendly and took the time to listen to anything I had to say. Debbie also interacted with my 4 year old daughter and made her happy and smile. I was asked what sort of pickup time I was aiming for wich my response was whenever you like because Debbie ensured I had a brand new loan car to use whilst my car was been fully serviced and any issues resolved. It was a like for like match too wich means I still had the space and freedom for my family whilst my car was in getting serviced. I would highly recommend vauxhall and if you get the pleasure of speaking with Debbie you will know exactly what I mean. Thankyou so much!

Krystian our sales advisor was excellent!
Very personable, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He fully understood our requirements and went out of his way to deliver them.
In fact Krystian made our buying experience, lifting it from four stars to five!
(Note to Evans Halshaw’s senior exec. team, it would be so worth adding an extra £50 onto the price of each used vehicle to ensure that they had a good valet and CLEAN, prior to customer collection!)
But for Krystian this would have been a 3-4* star revue, purely because of the vehicle not being properly cleaned when we picked it up.
He lifted it up to 5* and my son spent an hour cleaning the car when we got back home!

This was my first experience of buying a used car from a dealership. Overall the experience was wonderful. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful and it was good to see teamwork within their own team of colleagues supporting other colleagues when there was a query that couldn’t initially be answered someone else from the team provided the answers necessary. I was guided through the buying experience by Matthew who was an excellent salesman and very upfront and a good sense of humour! I am from a generation who remembers Minder and Aurther Daily so it was a very pleasant surprise to be treated so well by a great team!

My car battery was dead in a car park. Someone started the engine and I arrived at Evans Halshaw. New battery fitted and I was on my way again very quickly. Excellent result.
