I’ve been through a few dealers looking for the right second hand car for my circumstances. Finally came to Evan’s Halshaw and wish I’d come here first… Salesman George K helped me find the right car for me and I am very happy. George was super friendly, personable, honest, no pressure - just really nice and spot on. Thanks to George and all the team at Evan’s Halshaw. Much appreciated

Travelled 2 hours 40 minutes to look at a transit connect van today on arrival we found the van wasn’t as advertised it didn’t have a heated windshield like advertised, the front tyres to be bald and glow plug faults within the engine management system then to top it off we discovered that this vehicle has had a AdBlue delete by adjusting the ECU software we know this because the AdBlue module that is located in the back of the cab is missing and with out this the vehicle should not run unless the ECU has had a AdBlue solution. We made Paul aware that it is illegal to sell a vehicle with the AdBlue removed he then bluntly to proceeded to say your refund will be returned before we leave the building with out even sitting down to discuss a solution i was prepared to have the vehicle as long as it was road legal. I find his customer service and attitude appalling considering his line of work.

Initially a bad experience where by they didn't answer the phone but when they did get in contact they have been quite good. They fitted an appointment in at short notice and presented the car fairly

We bought a Toyota CHR from Vauxhall Evans Halshaw Bedford on 14/02/2026. The sales representative Melvin was very knowledgeable and I'm very much satisfied with the customer support they provide. Melvin gave me the details of the car, without rushing and provided us the time to read properly. The service was outstanding and we recommend buying from Evans Halshaw.

Update: was unimpressed with the after service as the rear registration plate fell off after one day. Contacted them a few times and not heard from them.

We have been going to Evans halshaw Bedford for many years and as always the service you receive is excellent, you are kept Informed through our the process. The email progress, plus video is most helpful and quick. Although a big job was done this time ,our car was ready and cleaned to pick up at 5 ,thank you for a good job.

Sorry to say but after three years of have my cars serviced at this branch I will never take a car back again. Dropped my car off for a service, phoned to say it is ready, when I got there the third party valet company had backed it into something and damaged the bumper. Evans Halshaw accepted liability. Following two days of no updates I had to email the rep to try and book the car in for repair. It eventually took three weeks for the repair. The car also needed new brake pads, I asked if these could be done as a good will gesture for the damage and hassle of me needing to bring the car back. Via email the rep said they will do that. Dropping the car off for the repair a new rep told me it was only a 10% discount for the pads, I said no I have email evidence that they would be done. Next I spoke to the manager, generally nice but totally un-empathetic and did not seem to think customer care and her responsibility for damage to my car whilst in her care. I told her that if the deal was not replacement brake pads why do I have an email saying otherwise ? I also said how poor the communications were, she told me that her staff are busy and emails stack up. Totally unacceptable behaviour from a manger in a customer facing role and clearly she does not have any interest in service and care for vehicles at this site. I left the car just to have the repair completed as I had enough by this point.
Two days later I picked the car up, filthy and shock horror a scratch and scuff on the passenger door. By this point certainly had enough and I decided just to take the car.
Communication is a huge issue at this dealership and clear training on customer service and clarity in emails is needed.
Manager - clearly although protective of her staff needs to ensure clarity and also the responsibility she has when damage is caused to a car. Her thought was a third party cleaning company caused the issue however I signed my car over to Evans Halshaw not a third party so Evan’s Halshaw should cover costs and compensation.
I would suggest people think carefully before using this service / MoT centre.
I have complained to the head office also but funny enough no response after nearly a week.

Buying a second hand car - the most precarious of experiences IMO. The blind trusting the unscrupulous. No hippocratic oath to provide a foundation of comfort.

Purchased a lovely second hand VW ID3 from here. But shortly after discovered a problem with the pre-heating scheduling function, inside the 3 month free warranty period. Tried hard to rule out user error, and eventually reported to Evans Halshaw aftercare. Long story short, I got the issue fixed, and the £700 to fix the issue reimbursed. Not as smooth as could have been, but I get they have to protect their interests and safe guard against scammers themselves, but we got there in the end.

Great experience buying a car from here! George K was extremely helpful and gave excellent advice. Any questions we had he answered, he explained everything very clearly and made sure we were happy with everything. The process was super easy, I highly recommend.

As normal we received a great & personal service from Paul in trading in our old Mokka & buying our 74 plate Mokka Ultimate. The whole process was explained to us & was perfect from start to finish
