As as an executor, I had no idea what to do or expect, but they made the probate process feel manageable. It did take time, which I understand is normal, but I always felt I was in safe hands. They explained everything clearly and handled each step with professionalism and care. 5 stars, without them I don't know what I would have done.

Ravi was very informative and explained everything to me, now all my legal documents are in place . I have peace of mind.

When my father passed away last year, Fidelis were on hand to help me deal with his estate. They were understanding and extremely helpful at what is obviously a difficult time. I cannot thank them enough for their help. Highly recommended.

These guys are criminals! They have held my fathers probate for 4½ years now!!!?! And every email reply when we ask them for any news is just a list of new excuses!? We will seek legal action against them soon and are contacting a legal Ombudsman.

A pleasure to deal with, very efficient, there were some delays but this was due to the length of time it took for the grant to be issued and nothing to do with them. They did keep me informed all the way though!

My sister and I have had an extremely distressing experience with Fidelis Legal Services during the administration of our late mother’s estate. At a time when we were grieving not only our mum but also our grandma, the way we were treated showed a complete lack of empathy or understanding.
Fidelis repeatedly acted without proper communication or consideration. They threatened to change the locks on our mother’s house and even threatened to send a company to empty the property, despite knowing that our grandma’s belongings were still inside. They also put the house on the market without informing us and listed it around £30,000 below market value. As co executors, we should have been consulted on every major decision, but we were consistently left in the dark.
It is also important for others to know that Fidelis are not solicitors. They are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and our experience reflected that lack of professional oversight. Complaints were brushed aside, communication was inconsistent, and we were given contradictory information throughout.
My sister received her inheritance weeks before I did, despite being told both payments were processed together. I had to chase repeatedly, including phone calls that were never returned, and only after escalating the issue did anything finally happen.
This entire process has caused unnecessary stress at an already painful time. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others to think very carefully before using this company.

Absolutely avoid at all costs. They are NOT regulated and if you have them as executors you need to change your will right away. Do NOT let your family have to deal with this fraudulent company. Over 2 years and still not dealt with estate

My mums estate probate completed in may 2025 its over 7 months now they dont respond at all i have been making complaints to other places but they are not regulated and its been so much stress for me and my brothers do not use this firm

The agent that sold the trust policy to my late father convinced us that having this is in place would make everything smoother after he died. This could not have been further from the truth!
The estate side took months, I still ended up doing a lot of the work as initially the agent we had was completely incompetent. We then had several more who weren’t much better. They took weeks, sometimes months to reply to emails.
This company are happy to take money from paying customers but once the paying customers has passed away they shroud their dealings in secrecy and hide behind ‘not being able to tell you’ in order to take more money. They use their own expensive contractors and then won’t tell you how much they cost!
As other reviews say they make an already difficult time much more difficult.
If you are reading this review as someone thinking of using them, don’t! If they are already involved and you can find a way out do.

I disagree with the level of detail shared about my family and the estate. This information is personal and was unnecessary for addressing my concerns. Please remove it from this public forum.
My review reflects my experience: delays, poor communication, and the stress of having to manage much of the process myself. While I understand that certain processes take time, my concern was how the service was delivered and the lack of clear, timely updates.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as it may help improve how clients are supported during an already difficult time

This firm added stress and heartache to one of the hardest times of my life. After my father passed, I relied on their advice to honour his wishes. They told me the trust in his will couldn’t be created. That was completely wrong — another solicitor later set it up with no problem at all.

Because of their failure, I had to fly all the way from Australia to the UK, spending $15,000 and dealing with enormous emotional strain during a period when I should have been able to grieve properly. I made a formal complaint and they didn’t even acknowledge it. Not a word.

Their carelessness cost me money, time, and peace of mind. I will never forget the unnecessary pain they caused during an already devastating period. I strongly warn anyone considering using them — look elsewhere.

Got 60 grand which my parents left in a trust for me and fidellis are down right refusing to let me access it they want me to find a solicitor just to talk to them I’ve asked over and over again to see the deed to the trust they refuse to even answer me on that they are useless and to be honest rob people if I ain’t got access to it then they have taken it from me that’s robbery None of false is it I have all the emails to prove me asking questions and me not getting anything as an answer and yes I do remember you writing to me and threatening legal action for what though you not giving me access to my trust or denying me simple answers to questions I’ve asked I have a right to see the deed of the trust and you ain’t even answering the question I don’t like to be threatened either and trust pilot is to write reviews which I have done correctly to my knowledge are you basically telling me I don’t even have the right to write a review about the way your company has treated me just trying to keep my mouth shut really by threatening me with legal action how very very silly lucky lowest I can give is 1 star and the email proof I really don’t mind showing on trust pilot to show the actual evidence for everyone to see I don’t like being called a liar and I don’t like being threatened either keep saying defamatory aswell il post the emails for everyone to see I asked wether I could see the deed to the trust which I have the right to see no answer as of yet what the f is difamatory about that just the fact I ask questions I have got the right to ask and you avoid answering really f your threat f legal action don’t threaten me for telling the truth on a review which I have the right to leave a bad or good review don’t threaten people just because they speak the truth about yourselves you ain’t met me in person yet il turn up everyday and protest outside the place I will make it public as ever live stream it all up show the whole world you ain’t giving me my trust when my whole family have been paid out my life sucks right now you are the people getting in the way disperse the trust to me make it simple

Avoid and run a mile

Ive got a discretinary trust with these robbing con artists...I told them I wanted a new car and that's why I set the trust up only for the trustee to point blank any requests to buy me one with my own money.....if u email them u get a reply a month after and communication is like nil and void.....I feel they stole my money....all I get is your not in a position to have your money well what position is that exactly.....they make interest of my money and I haven't seen a penny of it absolute disgrace

My father died three years ago. The sale of his estate was completed this January. Since then I've had FIVE different people deal with my case before leaving. Each time a new staff member left, not only were we not notified, but it was left to us to continually contact the company for information and to keep nudging them to progress the case forwards.

I am still yet to receive MY money that I should have inherited from my DEAD father, but am yet to because of the lack of professionalism and organisation within the company.

In all honesty, I wouldn't be surprised to find out they've had the money for a while now and are just holding it to gain interest.

Will be looking into further legal action against the company for the awful treatment of my case. I am trying to move on from the grief, but am constantly having to put up with this instead. I've had two houses fall through from lack of deposit because of the length of time this process has taken - despite reassurance I'd have received the money by now on multiple occasions.

Shame on you.

If I could give this company a - I absolutely would. I can not believe how unprofessional they are, they show no empathy at all at all time which is already difficult enough. You literally have to beg to get any information out of them, ring up daily to push them to do their job, you are not allowed contact with the agent and you are made to feel like you shouldn’t be asking questions on the situation.

The house was sold and the new owners had already put a to let sign up, but we were not told the house was sold and was only aware of this because we went around to my late mothers house to find the sign up. When finally discussed, all of a sudden it had sold and the signing of contracts was taking place 😡. ( my opinion the funds were being held and gaining interest).
I could go on and on with the negative actions of this company. My mother and father would be turning in their graves if the knew what we have had to endure due to this shambles of a firm. AVOID for the sake of your loved ones!!

Our family has been severely impacted by an unprecedented level of staff turnover. Over the two-year duration of our case, we have been informed that three different case handlers assigned to our matter have departed the firm. This constant change has led to significant disruption and a complete lack of continuity.

Despite continuous efforts to contact the firm via both email and telephone over the past two years, we have consistently failed to receive substantive updates or clear answers regarding the progress of our case. The repeated loss of assigned handlers without adequate handover or proactive communication from the firm demonstrates a profound lack of accountability and transparency.

The prolonged nature of this issue, spanning two years without resolution or even consistent communication, is entirely unprofessional. The firm's inability to maintain stable case management and provide timely information falls far below expected professional standards.

I would not recommend Fidelis unless you want to be waiting years for answers.

Slow and uncommunicative. High staff turnover means you feel like you're starting again each time you have to deal with someone new. A very stressful experience.

In 2017 we setup the simplest will. No children married 28yr to 34yrs when she past. Very simple wishes our estate goes to her mother and brother if we both die. End. One of us left it goes to the surviving partner... simple, loving, caring.

These lovely people have basically passed me over to the sister company their term they are owned by the same people therefore same company to my mind and my treatment will brpe yours. However Trish thinks i incorrect and wrong. Simpler law has nothing to do with Fidelis. Yet she is friends with the person doing my case in Fidelis because they are in the same building. Who's employing whom? I wasn't given a choice nor was i going to be treat differently. I was told if i had issues call simpler law. I did several times. Call both you will get the same reception staff, and know further.
You would indeed ask if there is any oversight from either company. A plan of action? Indeed i have been told to demand a full breakdown and a ime limit. These have never been given on paper only verbally and they aren't worthy the breath used.

All my paperwork has The planning crowd on it. This review demanded data to verify my claims as a customer. They said i was not, even had me questioning my connection to Simpler law. 30th April i had a 55 min call, they knew everything.
It's amazing you get a response when you go public, they actually care, about Simpler law only, second phone call she forcefully asked me to remove my review as it's mostly complaining about Fidelis. I can do as i wish with them! However she only offered her word to assist and 25 months of abuse that has less that negative value. See as a laymen you can twist the truth and law as you wish. But as a human logic and complex thoughts atill say this. I got a will, it was used as all will be. I was treated to the same treatment as all and that service is provided by the people i called simpler law. they are the same company planning crowd, they split and call themselves different names… not at all suspiciou. Plus they are owned by the same company that now owns 4 companie. Therefore in our eyes they are the full conclusions of the same service written and action of will. I paid a subscription fee to them for the full awful service.
I do not think I'm wrong. However I think that the actions taken thus far screams this.
Simpler law needs a clean image to attract new customers Into the trap. So new name and hidding the relationship to the other. Haven't heard of Google or company house that shows everything in 30 seconds. But not that bright. Fidelis is a God awful mess of staff turn over and laziness and you get a feeling that it's on purpose because nothing changes. Complaining about different case manager on my 13th. Emails and phone calls should be weekly. Lol yeah I was told that… yeah that doesn't last past the second I have gone 97 days without contact. Zero change. Waiting for others to do their work for them.
A chat actually informed me that these so called professionals actually have no access different to us. They are treated with less respect and as an annoying task. How can you be a professional when you are less effective than me?
The time limits have been 6 months after probate, October, April at latest.
AI crunching numbers and saying these people have a high turnover, aren't under the correct ruling of law they operate under a different system that is service based and the toothless trading standards. Which will take 12 months minimum. plus the protection certificates and governing bodies are fake and worthless. Called everyone of them, never heard of all 3 company names. They brushed it off saying their customer could be a partner who does private work put in on there.
Does it protect me i asked? No! Then it's a lie and fake advertising, making your little symbol worthless and pointless when seen then? Silence!

25 months and counting (27th March 2023 my wife passed.) Last call was 9 weeks ago but she was nice and the 13th person on my case. She it still there but no communication or progress on a thing i could sort out in 5hrs and have a nap. Why because i did them both. Issue is proof to this company that it's been done.
Trust me i can go on and you wouldn't believe the stupid reasons and things i have done. They are frankly excuses and eight year old would think was smart. Yet smack of time wasting and beneath contempt.
If You are still undecided about employing these people to act on your behalf you have either not understood what has been said due to lack of research or you don't know enough to make the decision yet. I strongly suggest you put in the leg work. Or if you hate the people who are going to gain from your death feel free to continue with this company they are a perfect revenge.
