Fingerhut promised to delete a charged-off account when I paid their collection company. The collection agency deleted the account, but Fingerhut refused, even after promising they would. There is nothing you need from this company that you will not end up regretting.

Two stars is being kind and generous in the extreme - I rue the day I became involved with them - the most recent incident was an abject disaster - I was in desperate need of a printer - so I ordered the HP Officejet Pro 8025e - I haven't been pricing printers, and the Fingerhut price was $299 plus tax, etc. The box arrived, and upon installation two of the four cartridges were damaged - I called HP Support (who were shocked at the price - this printer retails at $169!) and advised me to pack up everything and send it back to Fingerhut. I thought HP might offer to send me the two damaged cartridges - but they stink - that's grist for another mill. I haven't made a decision, but what a HEADACHE Fingerhut is. Overpriced and damaged - enough said.

Worst experience ever. Nothing wrong with the products that I purchased except that they are overpriced. However, I had to call Customer Service so often within a year because auto pay would get canceled without any follow up or reason as to why. I had to always call and complain and set it up again. They would always say “autopay was not set up” but I would call and set up it over the phone 4 times in the last year. I honestly think it’s to collect on late fees from honest people. They said I had sign up for Safeline plus protection but I never thought I did. I was so fed up with this company that I just paid the balance and closed my account. Do not open an account. The products are overpriced and customer service is the worst with always giving an bs excuse or answer and never take any accountability. Luckily they waive the late fees but only after I threatened to fall delinquent on the account. I was so mad that I didn’t care of it affecting my credit score.

I paid a 30 dollar deposit to join Fresh start. When they cancelled my order, I was not even informed. It was also an order for my son, who was thrilled to get this gift. It broke my heart to tell him I couldn't get him this item.
When I contacted customer service, I was promised a refund. But only the extra payment of 18 dollars could be refunded to the card I used for purchase. The other 30 dollar deposit could only be issued for refund in a mailed check, even though I paid for both with the same card.
Fast forward to 4 weeks later, I had not received the 30 dollar check, so I called again. I was given a timeline for this check to be received, which was ten business days, at most... I should receive it in two more days.....when I said, it's been 4 weeks, the agent looked to find that the prior agent, had falsely claimed to have mailed the check because it was not refunded. So, now I have to wait another ten days for my check, I doubt it will come.

After not receiving a item I ordered I was advised to walk my neighborhood and neighbors to track the package down myself. I called again after three days as per their policies the representative told me, I was then advised that the previous customer service representative was not correct and it would be 3-5 business days before anything could be done. I contacted them again for the third time and finally was told they would issue a credit on my account. Upon advising them that they will refund the tax and shipping they said that’s not part of the refund, in the end I was never issued any credit to my account! Stupid mistake I ordered another item for Christmas in the beginning of December and was told three different shipping arrival dates that item again was never received I again called and again both representatives said I was misinformed by previous representatives. They read from the same scripts as previous representatives, since this item was just over $70.00 she informed me of a sworn affidavit that I needed to receive a credit or a reorder which she first said anything over $80.00 required the form and I corrected her and she admitted to her fault. I had to purchase from a different company to get the gift on time for Christmas. I was still advised again listening to her saying the same word for word script three times not listening to anything that I said. I never received a credit from any of the two separate items I purchased. My remaining package which is and will be my last purchase from Fingerhut has now changed delivery dates four times and she only wanted me to give them access to my checking account for automatic withdrawals from me every month even though I have never been late and have paid my payments over the due amount. DONT fall into their traps of them making up new rules and requirements!!
