Worst airport ever .
AVOID.

Unbelievable experience today first time through Frankfurt airport. Had to take a bus after plane landed from Zurich. Went through three different security lanes. Incredibly inefficient design. Terminal Z was packed with people and had tiny, closet-sized bathroom to accommodate the thousands of people in the area. Checked in and then was herded to another jam-packed bus to take us out to our flight-a 787 Jetliner to the US. The entire time I’m shaking my head and saying, “this is an international airport?” It appears to have long ago outgrew its capacity.
Never had such an inefficient, head-scratching experience at an airport. Never again.

Ankunft am neuen Terminal 3. soweit so gut. es ist ein Flughafen, ganz hübsch zwar aber nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Ich höre zwar dass viele darauf stolz sind dass er im Zeitplan fertig wurde, aber das ist letztlich erwartbar - zumindest woanders als in Deutschland. Nun zu meinem Erlebnis. Ich finde in der Gepäckausgabehalle einen herrenlosen Rucksack. Ich nehme den Rucksack und gehe zu 6 Zollbeamten die da in Uniform rumstehen und mache diese auf das herrenlose Gepäck aufmerksam. sie seinen nicht zuständig und ich soll das Fundstück einfach zurückstellen bzw. mich woanders melden. Immerhin war dies ein Flughafen und ich hätte erwartet dass auf ein solches Sicherheitsrisiko ein wenig anders reagiert würde. Aber für Sicherheit war hier keiner zuständig , zumindest keiner der uniformierten Beamten. Insgesamt also ein komisches Gefühl. Auch wenn der Flughafen hübsch aussieht sind es am Ende die Menschen die dort arbeiten die alles ausmachen. Nicht zuständige Beamte sind hier keine Hilfe. Sie sahen mich auch eher als Belästigung an der sie in ihrer Arbeit stört.

Mein Flug nach Zürich um 11:25 Uhr hat Verspätung. Menschenmengen stehen im
heißen Bus direkt vor dem Flugzeug und warten sinnlos. WARUM schaffen es deutsche Passagiertransportunternehmen (DB, Lufthansa…) einfach nicht PÜNKTLICH zu sein? Nicht mal auf einem Standard Kurzstreckenflug? Es ist zum KOT ZEN!!!

the absolute worst travel experience ever. i had a connecting flight from atlanta to frankfurt to salzburg. we landed in frankfurt and it is absolute chaos. no sense of directions or order. we had to go through border patrol to before getting to our salzburg flight. the line was RIDICULOUS. even in the atlanta airport, it's never that bad. and there was only ONE person checking passports. and a lot of staff were very rude as in they did not care that SO many people had to change flights. and everytime we asked a staff member a question, they always have different answers. i missed my original flight due to this, i am currently waiting to see if i can board the next flight to salzburg and i am never coming back here again.

Ich kam am Montag nach einem Flug von Osaka über Dubai nach Frankfurt am Terminal 3 an.Die Zollabfertigung funktionierte an den elektronischen Einreise einwandfrei.Einzig das Gepäck kam erst nach ca. 110 Minuten endlich an.Echt enttäuschend für einen deutschen Flughafen.Sollten mal in Tokio nachfragen wie es besser geht!

Ich kenne die Gepäckausgabe nicht anders…an jedem anderen Flughafen mit kaum Infrastruktur, geht es besser als in FRA! Persönlich kein Flughafen der mehrere Sterne verdient!

Incredibly rude staff - not every one is rude of course, but enough people to ruin your day. The security staff broke a $99 dollar pair of headphones then had the audacity to scream at me that it was my fault he dropped it.

The airport is huge but poorly organized. You walk forever only to get to your gate to take a bus to another place, etc.

One of the worst international airports I have flown through.

I would avoid this airport if possible. Flying in to the airport was ok. Time to get past immigration was average as was getting baggage. Flying out of, however, atrocious. I arrived three hours prior to boarding time and almost missed my flight. Checking my bag with Condor took about an hour. Not necessarily the airports fault. Immigration took another hour. Very slow line. They had seven booths open but it was just taking long. The security line was painfully slow. Took well over an hour. When I got to security, out of 13 lanes, only 4 were open. There was a huge crowd waiting and the line was hardly moving at all. If they hadn’t opened 2 more lanes, I would have certainly missed my flight. The only reason I gave two stars is because of the arrival.

Do not travel through FRA for a connection flight. Avoid at all costs.

Shockingly bad signage and confusing layout throughout. You walk for miles just clinging onto a hope that you’ll get somewhere, anywhere. Priority Pass lounge inexplicably situated outside the terminal 1.
Can’t fault the staff, though: most of them helpful and friendly. They work with what they’ve got &that’s the extra star for. Otherwise Frankfurt really feels like an overblown third world airport in terms of functionality and available services. More was expected.

Der Flughafen bietet unterirdisch schlechten Reisekomfort. Wasserspender sind in aller Regel für Reisende innerhalb Europas schlecht oder garnicht verfügbar.

Wasserspender direkt nach der Sicherheitskontrolle wären ehrlich gemeinte Angebote (so ist es schon am Flughafen Helsinki). 1,5€ für 0,5l sind eine Frechheit.

Die Toiletten sind einigermaßen sauber, fallen aber auseinander. Für Flugreisende eine Zumutung.

Der Terminal 1 befindet sich in der sanierung - häßlich.

Koffer-Check-in ist vermehrt voll maschinell. Menschenkontakt fehlt.

Bockwurst im Hot Dog Brötchen, Brötchen angeblich ausverkauft 7:30...und dann noch kalt für 8€ ist ne Frechheit..

... nach unzähligen Flügen in Indien, muss ich feststellen, man am Flughafen Hamburg nicht mit Herausforderungen umgehen kann (irgend ein Typ hat einen Knopf gedrückt und ist in eine gesperrte Zone gelangt) ... der Zug ist in D keine Option ... bleibt zuhause oder geht nach Indien - die sind besser organisiert.

Horrible airport! Don’t go to this airport!! The staff is awful, really unhelpful and rude, and nobody knows anything or wants to help with anything. Everything takes a really long time at this airport and all the staff is so slow. The layout of this airport is really insufficient and disorganized and you need more time than you think to get to where you need to be! Do not land here for a layover, it’s not worth it!

Gepäckausgabe ist und bleibt eine Vollkatastrophe. Vielleicht hätte man mal T1 so modernisieren, dass hier irgendwas funktioniert - statt einfach T3 hinzuklotzen

Wie Immer sehr schlechter Service !

Die Rollstuhldienst Mitarbeiter sind sehr gestresst und verbreiten nur schlechte Laune ! Das geht seit Jahren so , der Service und die MA insgesamt eher unfreundlich.

Zugangsbeschilderung zu Gate B völlig irreführend, wurden vom Personal zwei mal im Kreis geschickt!!

Wie üblich unendliche Wartezeiten bei der Gepäckausgabe. Man sollte die Verantwortlichen rauswerfen. Das ist schon so lange ein Thema und es passiert nichts. Eine Schande 😩
