I managed to damage the wireless head unit on my Elite trainer and found these guys online. I took the unit, along with the trainer, and asked if they might be able to troubleshoot the issue or organise a replacement. I feel bad that I didn’t ask for the individuals names, they know who they are but they both bent over backwards to get to the bottom of the problem and get me back up and running. Much appreciated guys ... I will be back for any bike wants or needs and totally recommend them for their help, friendliness and knowledge.

Fantastic experience, almost perfect!

Pros: Friendly staff, happy to answer questions, website is easy to use, package received on time with no issues, bike is fantastic.

Cons: After ordering i was informed of an £80 charge for shipping to Northern Ireland. Reasonable, but not clearly stated on the order screen. Shipment was missing the 15mm wrench. Their website does not list up to date stock.

Overall, I'm happy and I would recommend them, just small things to make it a 5 star review. Thanks for service guys. Appreciated.

Ordered a bike and got it at a cracking price. The one supplied to the shop from the manufacturer had a big gouge in it so they got it replaced before they sent it on to me so a slight delay. Arrived beautifully set up and ready to go. Joe was helpful when I was talking about options with him about which bike to get, was willing to give me the best price and they showed great customer service - instead of passing on a slightly damaged bike they sorted it before they sent it on. Great experience and would buy from them again.

I bought a cube bike from Freeborn online earlier this year , Joe at the store was excellent through out both in customer service and the deal. Unfortunately there was a recall by cube of the wheels- this could have been very inconvenient as I had a cycling holiday booked. Joe and the team provided excellent customer service and ensured the disruption was kept to a minimum. I was very appreciative for their top class service.

Excellent Bike shop, I had an issue with my new Cube Hyde Pro and Joe was able help me immediately by providing me with multiple solutions to get me back riding again despite being over 50 miles away from the store. I would have no hesitation purchasing another bike from Freeborn.

recently needed some advise on purchasing the right bike. Excellent service and very good selection of bikes.

For a small shop the guys here really know their stuff. I was thinking of getting back in to cycling and wanted a bit of one on one advice, something you can't get online. I was really impressed with the substantial knowledge all the employees seemed to have and enjoyed being brought up to speed. In the end I picked up a Rockhopper and have been loving it!

last year I purchased a new bike & it was time to upgrade some parts. Freeborne was very helpful guiding me as to which components would work for me best. I needed help and advice regarding size and what type of electric bike was suitable for me. i found the staff at Freeborn to be kind and understanding and very patient with me as i went over things with them numerous times. Their site doesn't have a live stocking system so the bike i initially liked was not available but they were able to offer me a newer version of the bike i wanted and for an amazing price. Very pleased with the overall service and ease of my experience.

I simply cannot fault this company in any way. Every time I’ve bought from them theres never been any issues, I always get given great advice and transactions go ahead no problem. if I’ve ordered online I’ve recieved the Items in great time, and if from the shop I leave a very happy customer. I recently bought a bike for my sons birthday and he was delighted, all thanks to the great help of the manager

Absolutely on no account enter into a transaction with this company. The manager is unbelievable (see review below) to the extent that I can't believe this is a legitimate business - no manager would treat customers like this. I paid for a bike in full online, but the shop would not release the goods because (despite offering driver licence, card, passport, presentation of statement, invoice from them) they would not accept these as valid methods of proving you weren't a fraudster. Credit card company was appalled. As payment was taken by them immediately and in full, they'd defaulted on a legal contract to provide the goods. Had to ask credit card to refund and purchase bike elsewhere. I can highly recommend Biketart - better price, super friendly and helpful, delivered to work address!

I ordered a bike for my son’s birthday and having left it a bit late I was worried it may not arrive in time. After ordering the bike online I called Freeborn to check if the bike would arrive in time for the important day. They were very helpful and told me short of a catastrophe the bike would be with me in time... The bike arrived the next day. Thanks Again!

Absolutely shocking. The mananger is an arrogant scumbag. I made an order they took my money straight away on the 15th of August I then ring up on the 20th week beginning Monday and ask what is going on with my order considering you have taken the payment and charged me £5 for postage. The response I got is your order is cancelled you will receive your money back in another 5 days. Wow absolutely disgusting stay clear from this site and shop. I like the way the freeborn reply to the review when it his was arrogance and bad attitude which upset me in the first place. This is a very bad website and the staff are extremely rude and not helpful. He’s now saying they cancelled my order because he didn’t like being questioned about my order which they took my money for then don’t even contact you up to a week later leaving you wondering what the hell is going on. This is a strong warning to the whole of the biking community. Avoid at all costs

I can honestly say i wont deal with them again
Placed an order in the evening (Monday) to be emailed at the end of the next working day (Tuesday) saying the order was to valuable (under £100) to send to a different address from the billing address
(some of us do work) so why have a seperate delivery address option ?

Then after emailing them the following evening (Tues) and still waiting till the following day again, (Wed) at dinner time i rang them after still no reply by email to be told the order is still on hold and they wouldnt ship even thou im self employed and a soul trader so only me at delivery address ,
So now ive had get a card from my mother in law with delivery address and billing address the same
I now find out to add insult to injury i wont get the items before the weekend as they have messed about so much and i really wanted them for the weekend hence me ordering Monday night
And just as a final kick i find out the postage delay reason on top of there delays is they dont stock the item

I had my bike stolen a few days ago, a 09 Kona which I loved and have had so many amazing ride on. Saw a bike on Freeborn, a Saracen Hack so I emailed them about it. They got back to me straight away and we did a deal.
Couldn’t fault Joe or the service they gave.

We gave our son a budget to buy a bike for Christmas and he found a discounted previous year's model on Freeborn's website. We ordered it in mid-November and then didn't really think anything of it for a couple of weeks. When I called up to query the status of the order, I was told very apologetically that there had been a problem with the order and the bike we wanted had now been sold. The company immediately offered to honour the same price on a replacement, current year model with the result that my son will get the latest version for the price of the discounted previous model. Whilst there was obviously an initial mistake on their side with the original order, the response was excellent and I am a very happy customer.

Ordered a Genesis Croix De Fer 20, it arrived with me on the day and within the timeframe that was stated on the website, the bike was 100% as described, all complete, all in great order, very well packaged/ protected.
The size/ model/ colour was correct, the staff I spoke to on the phone was really good, very helpful, I would not hesitate in buying another bike or accessories from this shop, great prices and availability of stock.

Purchased Hope tech e4 breaks and Hope wheels as upgrades for my Orange alpine. I rang through the order told the guy my bike and year and he sorted everything break mount type hub sizes. excellent service. Fast delivery. Cheapest on the net.
