Every member of staff has been kind, helpful, professional and caring. They have asked if I had questions, answered fully, and did not rush me into decision making. The optometrist was thorough and helpful in the discussions about which lens would be best and the surgeon was open and honest about the benefits and risks of surgery

Great experience at Freedom Vision in Bedford, staff really helpful and the procedures was quick and no delay.

I had my 2nd cataract removed this time my right eye by SpaMedica Southampton. Everything from initial assessment to actual op was so smooth. The place is spotlessly clean and the whole experience was so positive. Every member of staff was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I was first in at 8.00 am and that day obviously watery and blurry but by next morning the eye was clear. I now have one eye that can see and opted for this one for reading. So far reading is nice and clear (my phone/tablet seems so much brighter too) . I can even see the instructions on packets clearly again so no reading glasses needed.

I am nearing 80 and had a replacement for my right eye two years ago with a standard NHS lens. That eye had been short sighted all my life with mild astigmatism. My left eye was long sighted also with some astigmatism so I had been able to get by without glasses until my mid 60's. I decided to finally do my left eye which had been steadily getting worse and wanted to try one of the new multifocal lenses with astigmatism correction. The surgeon discussed this choice with me at length, having clearly studied my particular case and needs and advised me to go with the Rayner EMV Toric lens.
The process was much superior to the production line NHS process and the wholw team at Freedom vision were really helpful, calming my nervousness and were very professional, giving me the feeling that I was in the hands of people who knew what they were doing. Its been 4 weeks since the op and so far I am pleased with the result. I expected the astigmatism to be corrected and my distance vision to be like my right eye. At the moment, I can say that the astigmatism has gone and my short and intermediate vision with the toric lens is way better than the past and the right eye. The distance vision is not as good as the standard lens however, but maybe that will improve over time. It still varies from day to day and if I spend a long time at the computer then I get a dull headache. Overall though I am very happy with the result. My vision now is better than I have ever had in my whole life.

I had cataracts removed from both eyes at Freedom Vision Chester having chosen to pay privately for the treatment after being assessed at Spa Medica within the same clinic. The facility is excellent, very clean, modern and with good parking. All the staff, without exception, were very friendly, reassuring and professional. On every visit I was shown genuine warmth and caring. The Surgeon was excellent,always having the time to discuss any worries I had and fully answered my concerns. I had the two eyes operated on two weeks apart .The procedure each time was very quick and I was reassured every step of the way . The aftercare was excellent throughout and included a Yag Laser treatment which the surgeon felt I would benefit from a few months after the removals. I am now left with execellent vision and for the first time in 60 years I am glasses free.
I was very nervous of the procedure but, with the reassuring nature of all the staff concerned,I soon realised that there was nothing to worry about .Both the cataract removals and Yag Laser treatment were painless. I highly recommend Freedom Vision and Spa Medica in Chester

I am so pleased I chose Freedom Vision at Worcester to deal with my cataracts. I had both eyes done on the same day and everyone at the clinic was so friendly, polite and very professional. I never worried about having the procedure done by them. From day one after the op I was amazed how quickly I could carry on my life with better eyesight after having contact lenses for forty years! Living alone I was keen to have my vision improved. The staff were very helpful suggesting I had both eyes treated at the same time and gave me a quick appointment. The preop checks were very efficient and the staff were very kind. Surgery was uneventful and painless. Post op I was pleased with result and would recommend this company without hesitation.

Never having had any surgery on my eyes I was naturally quite concerned to be told I had to have cateracts removed. However my first eye was operated on about two weeks ago and the difference to my sight is quite remarkable. I am now awaiting an appointment for my other eye. My fears were totally unfounded. The team were very informative and professional. I couldn't be more satisfied

Friendly staff, good service

I had galaxy lenses fitted to both eyes 2 weeks apart. It's important to note that whi;st the actual surgery is pain free, after was different with each eye. With the first eye it was a number of days before I could see clearly and the eye was very uncomfortable for at least two days after, with a very gritty and unpleasant feeling in the eye. The second eye was painless and my vision was clear almost from the start. This isn't a reflection on the care or procedure.
The after care can not be faulted. I am now able to read without glasses and my distant vision is clear also.

Great helpful staff. Full explanation of procedures and outcomes. Good communication including reminders for appointments and follow ups afterwards.

My whole experience with the team at SpaMedica Willerby explained each process every step of the way. The staff were amazing, professional and courteous and it made no difference whether I was an NHS or private patient. I chose to have my surgery privately and even though my resulting surgery was not quite what I’d hoped for (my other eye had the same procedure overseas and the results were similar), the surgeon and optometrist explained why this was the case. It was a nuisance to have to put post surgery drops in my eye as per instructions for 4 weeks as is usual, and it was explained why a slow release steroid/anti inflammatory injection couldn’t be administered at the time of surgery (my sister had that with her surgery 3 weeks prior to mine at a different hospital). Overall my sight has improved significantly and I would recommend the team at SpaMedica.

Well looked after by an excellent team of very nice people

I attended the Carlisle Freedom Vision for cataract in both eyes. The experience from start to final discharge was superb.
From the reception staff to the nurses and surgeon were all professional, friendly, caring and respectful. The staff couldn't do enough in making my experience and surgery calming and stress free as I was a very nervous patient.
The final outcome for me was amazing and one of the best things I have ever done.

The nursing staff were fantastic, what helped me was i arrived quite early, due to the distance travelled and was fitted in well before my due time.
The cataract operation was I will admit, not a sensation I wish to go through again very soon, feeling that the bright light, and water difficult, better numbing of the eye would have been l feel beneficial.
I am pleased with the sight improvement, although early days yet.

The procedure was surprisingly easy, quick and painless and all the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. I only know the names of Jonathan, Angela and Abdul who were excellent but the rest of the staff were also a pleasure to deal with.
