Bought pair yesterday for walking first hour of walking was fine 2nd hour feet started to burn and brun every uncomfortable had to take off left my feet in bits

My Gelert softshell waterproof boots are not waterproof. I got soaked feet from standing in the rain. Even after rewaterproofing them with Nikwax softshell waterproof spray.

I purchased a pair of soft shell walking shoes the beginning of July. By 24th the sole had split. So be advised if you want a pair of walking shoes go elsewhere these are terrible.

Bought a pair of gelert waterproof boots (they have two kinds that they advertise...ones which say just ‘walking boots’ the others say ‘waterproof walking boots’....bought the latter and paid extra for the waterproof because i am fed up of wet feet when it’s raining ).... they are crap! Had dry feet on maybe 5 occasions in wet weather, ever since I might just as well have been barefoot! Soaking wet feet even in June when there’s only been moderate rain...yes bought from sports direct who apparently now own Gelert......avoid at all costs......actually i’d avoid sports direct at all costs, they’re a poo company all round!! ...you only need to go into one of their shops and see how unhappy their staff are to realise they’re a bad company...as a parent of a uni kid ...each and every one of his friends say they’d rather go hungry than work at sports direct! Horrible company.

Purchased a pair of Gelert Softshell Mid Junior Walking Boots in Aug 21. Normal usage walking the dog mainly on grass. They developed leaks in the toe area of both boots. Totally unusable in wet weather. I emailed sportsdirect who of course said this was 'fair usage' and they were not liable. My friend has the same pair, similar usage and no issues after nearly two years
Very disappointed as they were very comfortable and reasonably priced

Our huge family tent until now, the Gelert Bala 8, with air tubes instead of poles. What a shame that nothing can be done to repair or replace a leaking tube. The leak in the inner tube is exactly where the tube valve is so it's leaking 'at the seam'. Enough to land the tent roof on the floor within 2 hours. After contacting Gelert by email (no phone number) it was confirmed they could do nothing about it. So it has to go to the tip and release it's plastic into the ground and we have to go buy a new one.

Bought a pair of Gelert 'waterproof' shoes from Sports Direct and began leaking through the sole after approx 10 months of moderate use. Sought a refund or credit note from Sports Direct but received a cut and paste reply stating that they consider this 'fair use' and refusing a refund. Note that Gelert is owned by Sports Direct. My advice would be to avoid and spend a little more on a reputable brand that offers a guarantee.

Bought a pair of waterproof (!) walking boots from Sports Direct. Leaked from day 1 and now 6 months on the soles are coming off! Moral of the story is you get what you pay for! Don't waste your money!

Just thrown away a pair of Gelert walking shoes I had for less than a year (bought April 2021) as they were falling apart. Tread hardly worn as they were used for summer or dry day walks only but now useless

Absolute garbage!
I have have 3 different pairs (models) 1st pair split underneath the sole after 4 months the 2nd pair split at the to crease after the same amount of time btu the 3rd pair the Atlantis boot the more expensive walking boot started letting in water after 2 months where the sole connects to the area where the big toe would be !
I have contacted sports direct where I purchased them they told me ‘ it’s a manufacturer issue’ I contacted gelert and they told me the opposite!
Please anyone reading this save your money don’t buy from this company !

If you want budget boots go to decathlon they are much better quality for the same price as these gelert con artists

Very disappointed with quality and with retailer sports direct. 3 months before they started leaking from the sole. Sports Direct not interested as they said I should waterproof the sole. Unbelievable! My advice would be do not touch Gelert waterproof walking shoes. Not value for money. Exceedingly poor customer service.

Yes, have to agree with everyone else. After several dog walks, the shoes have started coming away at the seams and letting in water. Laughably poor quality!

Bought a pair of Rocky walking shoes 2 months ago. The right foot sides have all come away from tops.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

I have brought several pairs of these shoes know non of them lasting more than 2 months before basically falling apart , they always seem to break on the sole and on the sides where the toe would crease the shoe, they state they are waterproof which they are for two weeks maximum,I have learnt my lesson that buying the cheaper option is costing me more as I have to buy them more often , I would strongly recommend you to not bother with this company as I have emailed and spoken to them about the quality of the product and they refuse to accept responsibility and claim the shop I brought them from are at fault ( because clearly they make them in sport direct these days oops silly me ) and the shop stating it's a manufacturing issue so I would have to contact them , extremely displeased with there products and services and I will not be using them again

My husband bought me a pair of these boots in September I probably wear them 3 times a week. 3 months on and they leak and are coming apart from the sole. Shocking awful quality boots, please don't waste your money!!

Bought the Gelert Mens Softshell Mid Walking Boots and after only 8 weeks the soles became worn and started letting in rain. Absolutely shocking how poor the quality is.

Bought new walking boots for myself and walking shoes for my wife. First time out in the wet and our feet were soaking fit for nothing and a waste of money as have good walking shoes anyway for dry conditions.
Do not waste your money. Sorry I can't recommend a good pair I'm still looking. Glad I don't have a tent by them.

Only had them 5 weeks and there letting in water

I ordered a couple of cheap Gelert sleeping bags, which arrived promptly but are not the bags that were described on the website. They are slightly smaller and not as heavy (warm) as advertised on the website. Their website gives no telephone number and the only telephone number I could find does not take incoming calls.

3 month old and inside are damage already and give me a blister from the damage part
