Very disappointed. I requested information on a Z4 M40I which HJ WILMSLOW has advertised for sale on Autotrader. The images looked stunning and the vehicle was almost of the spec I wanted. After I made the request and sending many emails to and from the point of contact (Amy), I was told the vehicle is not ready at all. In fact, I was sent a video of the outside of the vehicle when it had just been raining. I was then told, the car needed AUC, a new MOT, refurbishment of two alloys, and a full valet BEFORE it was ready for sale.
I enquired why it was not actually for sale, if it was on Autotrader. Amy replied that on the HJ WILMSLOW website, it say “coming soon”. But on Autotrader it states: FOR SALE.
The sales rep didn’t reply to my email which I sent before posting this review. I asked for the sales manager to contact me, which he did. Although he apologised, he did side with Amy and he tasted that ALL HJ vehicles advertised as FOR SALE on Autotrader, are not actually for sale, per-se, until a further 10-12 days.
So my question to the sales manger wa simple: what advertise the vehicles for sale if they are not even ready to be viewed?
Having purchased several New BMW from Halliwell Jones Chester, I think I was just used to dealing with the flagship branch of HJ, so when I dealt with Wilmslow, the difference was palpable. The sales manager had a “I could not care less” in the tone of his voice, even when I said I was a cash purchaser. I told him I have been sending many emails to Amy, but there was nothing positive coming back. Each email, another reason for delaying the vehicle sale.
If you are going to purchase from Halliwell Jones, can I Chester branch. They are very quick at following up. Lead. In fact, from enquiring about a BMW 420i to collecting the vehicle, was 3 days. And that was because I wanted the GUARDX coating applied.
I agree with the other review on here, this branch seems very sub standard with dealing with potential buyers.
Will stick with SYTNER now. HJ Wilmslow have been exceptionally poor indeed.

Very disappointing service experience with Halliwell Jones BMW Wilmslow.

I booked a service after receiving their reminder, but the dashboard warning was still on after the service was completed. Despite several follow-ups by email and phone, there was no proper response for about 15 days. Eventually, they said the warning remained because a full/long service was due, while they had only carried out a minor service earlier.

After nearly 20 days, I had to book another appointment for the full service and pay the difference. Even then, the routine car wash/clean was not done, which I had to raise again.

Overall, the experience showed poor communication and lack of attention to basic service details. Not the level of customer experience I would expect from a BMW service centre.
