Hamley's are fully aware of the workload of their website but refuse to update it because they don't give 2 ****s about their online customers. It crashes every time you try to add something to your basket in peak periods.

Their customer service is absolutely dreadful, they may as well replace their staff with AI as they have the empathy of a common house brick.

Sick and tired of trying to use your website to try buy something which never loads or adds anything to basket, only allowing botters to buy everything out

Hamley's website is appalling when there are high demand products being sold. Their IT needs to sort out these problems - other major retailers are!

Never managed to buy a single thing, not one, in hundreds of attempts, more chance of checking out by stamping on my phone than even bothering to try load this website - don't bother - worst website out there, blocks legitimate customers, hours and hours of my time wasted for absolutely nothing.

“Too many requests” on first attempt to access website, blocked immediately because their security detection system is so poor.

Meanwhile there are videos on YouTube of people configuring bots to buy up all of the Pokemon products within milliseconds of them being listed, but they’re not blocked? Hamleys won’t care, they get their money and they don’t care where it comes from.

I've been shopping with them for a while, but the shipping was ridiculously slow, seriously, and I'm still waiting for a human to reply to my email. Very annoying.

The store is glitzy, smoke and mirrors as the products are overpriced and I ferior quality , do not recommend

I made a prepaid order for Spider-Man bobble head. What came instead was a used 'Spider-Man' figurine keychain, which had stains all over that thing. Mind you that figurine had no resemblance to the that Spider-Man. If that wrong order you send me was a replica of the chibi version of Spider-Man you did an awfully terrible job making it. After writing a thoughtful email to their customer services. They took their sweet long ass time to reply and told me that I was a 48 hour return policy. I checked their website and it said 30 days to issue it. Honestly, this experience has been so full of horse shit. I hope they fire and replace those who are incharge of the customer service. I’m only disappointed that I didn’t read feedback on this horrible toys shop before purchasing there. Hamleys India online store support team is zero useful. If you didn’t get your order - it’s only your problem and not theirs. Avoid this scam with big name in any cost.

Some of the top trending toys at hamleys are falsely advertised into being to good to be true. This leads kids to buy things that are scams. This seems to be manipulative and benefits the store. It seems to good to be true and it is. Would not recommend going here ever.

They don't deserve even 1 star. Had ordered 4 sets of Duracell battery. All the packs were torn, tatty and shabby. To top it one of the packs did not even have the battery case, they just sent the card. And the best part is all the packs had expired and had expiry date of 2025. Wonder if the person who packed it either did it blindfolded or at gun point. What an arrogance that they send garbage and have the confidence that they can get away with it. Have been following up on email since past 1 week, till now no reply. And as we all know their customer care number is a sham , where waiting period goes on in endless loop. No one picks up the call. These people should be dragged to court and banned.

Hamleys help line is absolutely unacceptable. I think it is used to drive their customers crazy - I cannot believe a store as famous as Hamleys has such a terrible recording as an answering machine. If this is an indication as to the service they give then I can understand why they have such low star ratings on trust pilot

Absolutely dreadful website that constantly crashes. I dread to imagine what the IT department is up to during the week. I’m certain they’re sat doing absolutely nothing. Regardless, get yourself a better IT team please. It would do the company a world of good.

Poor quality toys. Our children spent their pocket money at the large London store. On a Saturday. By Sunday, the battery operated rabbit broke being dropped down three small steps suggesting the internal connections to the battery port are flimsy, the slime lid is impossible to open and the foam gliders (extortionate at 12 quid) broke within seconds of opening. Anything that is “hamleys” own brand toy I would steer clear of. The other stuff we bought that was of different brand has all been great - but the Hamleys own brand items are expensive, poor quality and disappointing

Website is awful. They recognises demand for Pokemon products but drop them onto their website which does not load correctly, fails when signing in, sends error messages and blocks you. It’s rare anyone actually gets any product and seems to be just supplying to bots for scalpers. No company this big should have a website this bad in 2026, it’s embarrassing.

In Vijaya forum mall we family visited Hamleys toys and we found very prominent sales man Mr.Anand Raj to guide and select very good playcar to satisfy my son and niece daughter. We feel happy after our purchase. Thanks to Hamleys and salesman.

Visited the new Liverpool Street Station store during the recent heatwave and was shocked by how hot it was inside—significantly warmer than the 34°C temperature outside. There appeared to be no effective air conditioning, and staff were working in extremely uncomfortable conditions with only a mini clip-on fan at one till.

The employees were friendly, professional and helpful throughout, but I was genuinely concerned for their wellbeing. Under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, employers have a duty to provide a reasonable working environment and assess risks such as excessive heat.

While the staff were excellent, the conditions they were expected to work in did not appear acceptable. I hope management reviews its heat risk assessments and takes steps to improve ventilation, cooling and overall staff welfare.

I ordered miniature plush toys from disney online and to my surprise the website is a scam. The payment went through and my account was debited with the amount but the order was never placed. It's a pathetic website, with the customer care being useless, who won't help you even if it's an urgent order. I don't know if I'll even get my money back or my order delivered.
