⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding Experience at Hickory’s!

From start to finish, our visit to Hickory’s was incredible. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every single member of staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home.

A special mention goes to Manager Jack Norledge, who truly went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect — his professionalism and friendly attitude really stood out. The service was spot on, fast but never rushed, and everyone was genuinely happy to help.

And the food… wow! Every dish was cooked to perfection — full of flavour, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can tell the team takes real pride in what they do.

We left with full stomachs and big smiles. Couldn’t recommend Hickory’s enough — a 10/10 experience all around!

Absolutely stunning food, had the chance to get in the new Northampton branch, wonderful atmosphere and the staff are so happy to help you, will definitely be coming back for more.

The actual restaurant is very nice and all the staff we ment were very nice and efficient.
The food however was very disappointing, dry beef brisket, chewy pork belly and some strange side salad.
for £33 I had a spoon of coleslaw, 2 small slices of dry brisket, a bite size piece of chewy pork belly and a small piece of dry chicken, a small portion of chips and some pickled veg which was probable the best thing on the plate.
others had Mac and cheese which to be fair was very nice but come with a terrible side salad, this was £20.
overall the service was good the food not so good.
very over priced for what you get.

Wow. Really doesn't get much better than this. As an ex chef I hate going to restaurant chains only to be disappointed. The business model of the group is amazing, the staff must have had so much training. We were even shown the brisket smokers and cookers. 3 people were £140 which really is a steal for the quality of food. Big shout out to Harry made.it a special evening. Will book my.companies Xmas dinner there. Well done all of you.

We had a confirmed online booking at Hickory’s Quedgeley on Saturday 19th October and arrived slightly early, expecting a relaxed family meal. We were asked to wait in the bar area while our table was prepared — perfectly reasonable — but the experience quickly went downhill.

The seats, floor, and table in the bar area were sticky with what seemed like a sweet, syrupy substance. Unfortunately, this transferred onto my white jeans, new jacket, and suede loafers, as well as my daughter’s shoes and jeans. My husband went to find someone to help, but no staff member seemed interested. We ended up cleaning the area ourselves with wet wipes, which turned dark grey with grime, showing just how dirty the space was. For a new restaurant, the lack of basic cleanliness was shocking.

Our booked table time came and went with no communication from staff. When I eventually asked to speak to a manager, her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional — she simply said, “tables run over,” offering no apology or assistance. There was no concern shown for the state of our clothes or our experience.

By 7:55 p.m., we gave up and left, going instead to Miller & Carter, where we were warmly welcomed and enjoyed an excellent meal — spending over £250, which we had intended to spend at Hickory’s.

It’s such a shame, as we’d chosen Hickory’s for its family-friendly environment — my grandson loves the popcorn cinema and relaxed atmosphere. Sadly, this visit has completely put us off returning. The cleanliness, organisation, and customer service fell far below what we expected from a reputable brand.

The staff always greet us with a smile which is warming. The Brisket has me hooked and I’ve dined every week at the Milton Keynes branch taking mum out. I’ve had the Briskett 8 times in a row. I really do look forward to Wednesdays each week and the day now is called “Brisket Wednesdays”. Today we dined at the Leicester Branch. I had a lovely surprise waiting for me at our table. I really do feel special with celebrity service. I can honestly say this Hickory’s restaurant is the best place that I have dined at and, ordered the exact same meal and drink each visit. The atmosphere is superb and very relaxed. Lots of room to move about and tables are positioned for a private lunch with your family/friends. What a fantastic experience. Our waitress today was great and we laughed together about me not wanting to see the menus and we ordered 2 of the famous brisket and 2 grape sodas. I will always choose this chain of restaurants over anywhere else as we know exactly what we will be getting. I had a really fantastic lunch and so happy I discovered this restaurant 2 months ago.

Recently visited the Crewe hickory’s . It was my daughter’s 30th birthday . The place was nice and the staff were lovely . Exceptional food . Had an amazing night . The table was for 7 adults and 6 children . Once we had paid the bill the staff were quite rude and commented to make sure this was our last drink . Not one of us were drunk just happy enjoying the party . Bearing in mind our bill was 500 hundred to 600 pound and it was only 10pm . Will not be returning .

I visited in the 3rd September my grandsons 1st birthday ..
it is quite challenging going to restaurants as my granddaughter is 2.5 and my grandson only 1 years old.
We couldn’t have felt more welcome.
From the moment we entered. Staff were friendly and helped us with a double pram .. gave us a table which meant we wasn’t in the way of others xx
I have to say and commend our waitress was Lorna Milton Keynes branch ..
her customer service and the way she was with me grandchildren was truly amazing .. 🤩
It was a lovely positive experience and she couldn’t have done more to help us settle the children and take our food orders ..
I have to say all staff were 🤩 brilliant.
Lorna tho is an absolute credit to your company her attitude and attention to help us have a lovely evening I will never forget ..

Please visit Milton Keynes as even one of the other staff came over saw my grandaughter was getting a little frustrated brought her colouring and crayons so we couldn’t relax and have our meal xx

Was so looking forward to trying this food experience at Hickorys we booked a table online for 2 got to the restaurant great set up seating ambience etc menu looked and sounded great went straight for a main meal each and a couple of drinks.
The drinks had way to much ice so the little amount of mixer that was in there became very diluted and tasted like sweet water as the ice melted.
We sat for nearly 20 mins when all I can assume was the manager came to our table and apologised for our wait stating they were really busy and it could be another 45 mins to recieve the food it didn't seem that busy but as I was so hungry and had great expectations for what I had ordered the carnivor plater I was so happy to see the waiter arrive 25 minutes later with the greatly anticipated food only to be disappointed so few fries a tough piece of pork the chicken had more bone than meat the 2 slithers of brisket was very tasty but all items were as warm as the coleslaw.
We didn't want to wait for desert so asked for the bill which had a service charge added and no option waive I have no issue paying a service charge when I receive service.
Upon exiting the restaurant we walked past the same manager who apologised earlier along with 3 other staff and not so much as a thank you or good night.
So sorry but it's a no from me for a return visit
Poor customer service and pricey food no thank you!!

For the amount of food you get I thought it was a tad pricey, some of the food was barely warm and the chicken sub I had was nearly all coleslaw and so small my 18month grandson could have polished it off. For a small can of ( and I mean small) alcohol free beer it was £5.00 and tasted like perfume it was vile!!
Will not be going back there anytime soon……

An excellent experience. We visited their place in Crewe. Excellent service with a friendly smile from Maddie. The food was as good as I have had including in America. We will go again soon.
Dogs were welcome in the nice heated huts outside.

Thank you. We attended the huddersfield Hickorys yesterday as a last minute birthday reservation for 10 for a 12 year olds birthday. It was lovely how on entering he was invited to make his own complimentary milkshake as a young boy who loves creating drinks and meals this was a dream come true. Whilst this was happening at the other end of the bar the other barman was creating an origami frog for my 5 year old niece. What a lovely impression even before we sat down. Thank you for the lovely atmosphere, welcome and overall experience. Topmarks!

We visited Hickory’s Smokehouse in Wall Heath yesterday to celebrate our brother and sister-in-law’s birthdays, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We were served by young Fraser, who really went above and beyond to make the occasion special. His communication was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, and he delivered everything with a genuine smile. Fraser even tempted us to order a little more — and we’re glad he did, because the food was absolutely delicious! Thanks to Fraser and the team, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back.

We went for a birthday meal tonight 16/09/2025 at the wallheath hickory’s smoke house for mine and my wife’s birthday we had a great meal food was excellent our server (Fraser) was a very polite young man and very attentive we definitely would like Fraser to be serving us on our next visit 😊😊😊😊 overall a great experience thank you 😊😊😊😊

Been looking forward to visiting the place as I loved the concept. I booked online and was asked if I would like an outside hut. Great, I would, box ticked. When we arrived we were informed they don't have huts? No big deal, after they've recently opened, mistakes happen. We were shown to our table and very soon the waitress arrived and asked what drinks we'd like and were we ready to order food. In this particular case we'd decided already, so we ordered. We order a very a big platter with most of the item on the grill menu. Within 5 minutes it was on our table, we were surprised how quick it came. The food was average but the ribs were stone cold. I guess they forgot to heat those up in the 5 minute rush. Then we asked for the bill. When we got it it had a pet hate of mine, a service charge added. Although discretionary and a quote on the bill if you dont want to pay it, thats ok, just say and it will be removed without awkwardness. They obviously dont get the concept of awkwardness. Overall it wasn't awful and if it was around 20% cheaper would have been good value. If you are going to charge high end prices, you've got to give a high end service. I wouldn't go back. Not because of the quality and price but I just didn't really like the taste of things and the fact we spent close to £100 for just the main course and was in and out in 35 minutes, very rushed. You may think I'm being hard and thats fine, I'm just relaying my experience. I wouldn't tell people not to go, just what to expect. I did mention things to the waitress as well.

We went for a meal , 6 of us for my daughter’s 16th birthday .
Meal was nice . We gave details of daughter’s birthday and name for the staff to sing happy birthday and give a sparkler and cake that they do …… however this did not happen , we were forgotten . I was gutted for my daughter who was watching other tables get the experience and not her , 16th birthday was ruined . We paid and left . We did mention it on the way to go , staff were apologetic however , doesn’t cut it

Made a booking online, the server wanted us to sit in a door way but we asked to be moved which he did without hesitation. The waitress who served us was delightful and attentive .. well done Eva!! The food was fantastic !!! The meats all done to perfection .. so much we couldn’t finish it.

I need to let you know about my experience in Hickories today, firstly I appreciate we didn’t book a table we rocked up and were happy with whatever could be offered, they sat us in the main room which was fine on a high table by the kitchen, this is where we start to experience what I cannot even explain as the most chaotic loud and uninviting seat I’ve ever sat in, the woman who sat us granted was lovely and took our drink order straight away, from that moment though all we could see and hear was chaos, staff swearing in front of us, one of the staff talking about his stint in jail and what he got up to in prison, constantly just shouting at each other about there weekend plans, what looked like the head chef telling people to shut the F*** up, I’m all for talking about your life at work but when it get inappropriate and your talking about it infront of people who are just trying to enjoy a meal it’s a bit of a joke! The staff seemed to be all over the place, we ended up waiting 20 minutes in between our starter and main and the staff member came over to ask if we wanted the dessert menu at which point I have to tell the embarrassed man I’m still waiting for my main in which he then has to apologise and says he must be at the wrong table!
At one point the worker who stands there and doesn’t run food just shouts yes please every 5 seconds and when the staff wouldn’t come he would say where the F*** are they and then screams yes please again.
I fully get we didn’t book but any table in the restaurant, but whether you booked or not it should be a nice environment to sit in to enjoy your meal and when I pay £92 for the pleasure of it too, it’s pretty poor service, the food was lovely so it’s a shame it’s completely let down by what seemed like a kids playground!!!

We visited the Horbury located, we've been many times before and it's always been amazing. The food and the staff have been second to none. We visited yesterday and didn't want to sit in the doorway so asked if we could move down a table (it was around 3pm and the place was virtually empty). The young lady serving us pulled a face and went away, came back a minute later and took us to a new table. From then, she was just contemptuous and horrid in that 'mean girls' I seem to be nice but I'm not kind of way. She ruined the experience for me which is a shame as we are out for the day for our 20th wedding anniversary. I won't be hurrying back.
