HMA VPN レビュー 

Had HMA for a year and it functioned OK. I went to renew for the next year, about $76, but I was somehow double billed, $152. OK, probably simple software glitch. Emailed company to resolve. No answer. Emailed twice more, still no response, despite the, "we'll respond as soon as possible."
Apparently that means who knows when. I doubt anyone is actually on the other end, all computer generated. Got my credit card co. to kill half the charge.
As of today, one week later, still no response. Will definitely cancel when year subscription ends. I would cancel now but then I lose it all, and it does function as intended, so I'll just wait.

Update: They finally responded Jan1. They said if there's something burningly urgent I should reply. Well, yes, overcharging is a burning issue when I'm the one out of the money. Again, I recapped the issue. Today, Jan, 4...still no response addressing the issue.
So, I repeat..stay away from these guys.

When it works, it works fine. After the release of MacOs 15, it stopped working. The customer service takes ages to answer - and when I mean ages, it' 4 to 5 weeks. When you receive an email, They do not answer the question, just hoping it's back to normal and to contact them if so. I was a customer since 2021, but this year, after 7 months of non-stop trying to contact them, I just give up. Find another service like I did. Avoid.

Ich war bisher zufrieden mit HMA VPN, habe aber Mitte 2024 beschlossen, einen anderen VPN Client zu verwenden. Dazu habe ich auch in meinen Abo-Einstellungen auf meinem HMA VPN Account für das aktuelle Abo die Einstellung 'AUTO Renewal = OFF' gesetzt.
Die Zahlungen für das HMA Abo werden über 2checkout.com abgewickelt. Aber diese Firma scheint keine Ahnung über meine Abo-Einstellung 'AUTO Renewal = OFF' zu haben und sendet mir entsprechende Zahlungsaufforderungen für die Abo- Erneuerung.
Daraus folgere ich, dass eine Abo-Datensynchronisation zwischen HMA VPN und 2checkout.com nicht zu existieren scheint (oder schlampig durchgeführt wird)...

Wer hier nicht höllisch aufpasst und an 2checkout.com Kreditkartendaten preisgibt erhält eine ungewünschte Abo-Verlängerung, trotz der Abo-Einstellung 'AUTO Renewal = OFF' beim HMA VPN Account.

Banned my licence after only 11 months after renewal I still have over 2 years left and they just ignore you terrible. They say I may have breeched their conditions but will not tell me why AVOID

Avoid this! I was charged even after cancelling my free trial, scam website.

HMA stopped working once macOS 15 was released. They've done nothing to fix it, and they just ignore support emails about this issue.
Use a different service.

Avoid! As other have reported not only they do not honour the money-back guarantee 'promise' (I have contected them 4 times over the past 10 days and no replies whatsoever) but - to make things even worse, I was billed a full year subscription after cancelling the 7-days free trial (and receiving confirmation email from HMA that the trial was successfully cancelled and I wouldn't have incurred additional charges). Avoid at all costs.

I was a customer for a few years but this service has taken a very sharp decline. I was such a fan that I bought a 3 year subscription. Mid way through the fist year, the VPN started acting up. Eventually, it stopped working even when I re-installed and activated. For weeks I couldn't use it. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, nothing. But as bad as the VPN is, their customer service is even worse. It took months of ticket-opening and customer service emailing to get an answer that could help resolve the issue I was having. By then I'd moved on to Nord VPN and it's been wonderful so far. Do yourself a favor and don't install or pay for HMA. It'll only break down and you'll be left without any VPN or customer support to help for months on end. Not worth the hassle.

Ce sont des escrocs et des incompétents, il en va de même pour leurs complices Vériphone, plateforme de paiement par laquelle ils passent et Paypal j'en parle même pas !

Ils interrompent mon abonnement en bannissant ma licence sans aucune raison donnée, j'envoi des mails au service clients sans aucune réponse après des semaines, je fais un litige paypal pour annuler mon abonnement, et là comme par magie ils répondent, et la magie n'est pas finit, parce que pour je ne sais qu'elle raison que paypal se garde bien de me donner ils donnent raisons a ces escrocs, donc on paie un abonnement qu'ils suspendent a leur bon vouloir, et tout est normal pour paypal !

After three years since I closed my account I find that Privax have charged me through Paypal. No response from so called Customer Support despite emails and web forms. Seems to me to be a scam now

im keep trying to change new ip, but got same ip over and over again.

3. ständige Verbindungsabbrüche oder gar keine Verbindungen, dafür auch noch Geld verlangen

Achtung! HMA ist eine komplette Abzocke! Die VPN-Software ist absolut unbrauchbar, und der Kundenservice ist nicht existent. Ich habe das VPN bei HMA gekauft und innerhalb von 30 Tagen storniert, aber mein Geld wurde mir nicht zurückerstattet. Finger weg von diesem Anbieter!

Good product when it is working, but there's NO SUPORT

I've used this company for a LONG TIME. When it comes to renewing your monthly subscription, they deduct your money and then send an email stating it wasn't possible for them to collect the money and because of that the service isn't available. Well then why has MY money been taken?

Reaching out to any kind of support? Forget about it - Support in India - We're in the 21st century now, People want chat assistance not; report via the website and we'll maybe get back to you in 48 hours!!!! PATHETIC. You need to really invest into your customer support because its LACKING to say the least.

Great origin story shame it didn't stay great.

EDIT: Customer support states they will reach back out in 48hours. It's been 4 days now. Still no signs of a refund in sight...

À fuir comme la peste ! Quelques temps après avoir souscrit un abonnement, je ne peux plus me connecter au vpn. Aucunes réponses du service client malgré plusieurs mails de relance. HMA (hide my ass) ont pris mon argent, ce sont des escrocs.
