In your review, you mention having waited several years for the return of your funds. However, our involvement with matters relating to the 79th Group has been for under 12 months, and with Godwin for under five months. On this basis, there appears to be some inconsistency between the timelines referenced in your review and our records.
We would also like to clarify that all communications, whether by telephone or email, are responded to in a timely manner. Additionally, while you mention visiting our offices on two occasions, we have no record of these visits. Since the pandemic, it has been standard practice for many members of our team to work remotely.

You appear to be a sophisticated investor, based on your other negative reviews left on the Trustpilot platform. As a sophisticated investor, you may be aware that insolvency processes can be lengthy and that recoveries are rarely achieved within a 12-month timeframe.

We take all reviews seriously, but after checking our records, we cannot find any trace of “Mindy” or her husband as clients of Insolvency & Law Ltd. It would be helpful if the reviewer could provide identifying details such as case references, dates, or supporting documents so that we can properly investigate. The allegations made in this review — particularly those concerning the owner, who is the sole director and shareholder of the company — are wholly untrue, defamatory, and cannot be substantiated. The claims of criminal convictions and misconduct are false and damaging to our reputation.

You openly admit that you never engaged our services, and yet you’ve chosen to make sweeping, damaging, and speculative claims about our business, our fees, and our professional capabilities. That is both unfair and misleading to others who may be genuinely seeking help.
You accuse us of “ambulance chasing” and having “no real legal experience,” but offer no evidence to support these statements. Insolvency & Law Ltd has operated transparently for over 17 years, recovering millions of pounds for distressed creditors. We do not claim to be solicitors or licensed insolvency practitioners, and we do not conduct litigation or offer financial products. Our website and disclaimers clearly reflect this.
You are also incorrect in claiming that we do not remove data. You’ve received unsubscribe links in every email, and if there was any delay in responding, it was not intentional. We have no reason to keep your data against your will, and we fully comply with GDPR regulations. If you feel otherwise, you are welcome to raise your concerns with the ICO.
It is deeply concerning that your comments appear to echo the language and agenda of an unregulated, anonymous entity operating under the names Safe or Scam and Bond Review. This shadowy group is:
• Registered in New Mexico, USA, for its secrecy laws;
• Lacks public accountability (no names, directors, or financial reporting);
• Breaches GDPR by contacting investors without proper authority;
• Refers investors to UK-based law firms and insolvency practitioners, who often place companies into administration and charge substantial fees, often to the detriment of investors;
• Runs a targeted campaign against I&L, encouraging fake or hostile reviews to damage our reputation and visibility.
It is your right to choose not to work with us, but it is not your right to defame, undermine, or falsely characterise the nature of our business based on second-hand opinions or association with questionable actors.
We urge you to reflect on the purpose of your review. Is it an honest account of your personal experience, or are you being used (knowingly or unknowingly) to damage a business that has helped hundreds of people recover their losses?
We remain available to speak with you directly and respectfully, but we will not allow our brand, built painstakingly over 17 years, to be tarnished without justification.

You have made a number of serious allegations about our company and its director. These statements are categorically untrue. Insolvency & Law Ltd has operated for over 15 years under strict compliance with all relevant UK laws and regulations. We are transparent about our leadership, and any personal history has been publicly documented and not hidden, therefore, demonstrating openness and integrity.

Your accusations regarding the genuineness of our client reviews are also entirely unfounded. Insolvency & Law Ltd has successfully assisted thousands of clients, including hundreds of international investors, many of whom have independently left positive feedback based on their experiences.

We appreciate the opportunity to clarify our service and fee structure.
Insolvency & Law specialises in complex debt recovery cases, and our standard engagement terms involve:
• An initial contribution of 6% of the debt value toward the costs of recovery; and
• A success fee of 24% of the funds successfully recovered.
For a debt of £100,000, your contribution would be £6,000, and the success fee upon recovery would be £24,000, both of which are transparent and outlined at the outset. The contribution offsets a portion of the significant legal and administrative costs incurred in pursuing complex, often contested recoveries. In many cases, actual costs exceed this initial contribution.
We respectfully highlight that debt recovery work differs significantly from Ombudsman services, which may not cover the same types of claims or offer the same depth of enforcement options. Likewise, while other companies may advertise lower fees, we encourage all clients to carefully review the scope, service levels, and success rates associated with any provider.
Our 17 years of experience has demonstrated that transparent fees and proactive recovery work deliver real results. Many of our clients recover substantial funds they otherwise would have written off.
Finally, if alternative providers offer terms you find preferable, we fully respect your choice to explore them.

Tamjida. Your review is not true. It is fake. We do not make unsolicited contact with any loan note holder. We only respond to loan note holders who make contact with our company. We invite them to share their details and they do so voluntarily. It is clear to us that you have been set up to write a fake review by another party with an opposing interest .

Rob, you have left a fake review. We provide a bona fide service. We haven’t taken advantage of any situation. Where is the harassment? In fact, we have shed much needed light where there has been darkness. We haven’t just arrived on the scene. We arrived with warning notices about The 79th Group in 2023. We have the public audit trail to prove we sounded the alarm bells a long time ago.

Kevin, firstly, we have been subjected to a number of fake reviews and Trust Pilot do not have a robust system for removing them. We are well aware that our robust recovery actions have upset a great many number of debtors even solicitors, and debtors in turn have responded with fake reviews to damage our reputation. However, assuming your review is genuine. We make no apology for charging a 6% upfront fee in response to The 79th Group. You have no idea what costs and risks are committed by us in securing a recovery for those loan note holders who are seeking the recovery of their funds. Your complaint is therefore ill-founded. We have been successfully recovering funds for 17 years and have a documented proven track record of success. You can keep your 6% funds and 0% recovery in your pocket together with your 100% loss. You don’t hurt us. You only hurt yourself. We know the costs of our service more than anyone else.
