Absolutely let down this morning by Jewsons tool hire today. Hired on-line, day’s in advance, a large float for concreting our garage floor. Jewsons opens at 7.30 am and we went in this morning to collect it at 8 am, with 6 m2 of concrete arriving at 8.30 am. Told “we don’t have one, there’s only one in the county and it’s not here. I was just about to call you” !!!!!!!!!!!!

They knew we were coming, they open at 7.30 am. No attempt to go to the depot that had it to collect it for us and no notice to us at all that they didn’t have it. How bad is that.

We have been let down so bad. The concrete had to have the float to make the finish. Absolutely dropped in it and the attitude was “you shouldn’t have ordered on-line you should have come into the branch”.

Can you imagine the cost implications of not having the tool for the concrete - no time even to cancel the concrete.

But thankfully SPEEDY HIRE came to our rescue. Speedyhire had not just one in stock but two, to cater for their customers. Hired and sorted and back home in time for the concrete. What fantastic service we got from SPEEDY HIRE.

No thanks to the appalling service from Jewsons who let us down massively and a ‘couldn’t care less’ attitude.

Fantastic service from their Darlington branch from ordering to delivery. So very helpful with advice and cost saving when on a budget. Huge thanks will certainly use them again

I am so disappointed and furious I purchased from Jewsons some Polypipe guttering parts. I thought buying from trade would be cheaper how wrong I was! I just happened apon the same parts in Homebase for a fraction of the price not only do Jewsons collossally over charge they also slap on VAT
Example 3 x Polypipe Brackets Jewson 5.91 vat 1.18 = 7.09
3 x Polypipe Brackets Homebase 0.95 = 2.85
This is just an example of my spend. If you need to buy Polypipe guttering do not buy it from Jewsons. I will never buy from this company ever again nor will I recommend them. Shame on you Jewsons for ripping off your customers so blatantly.

I bought some silicon without naming the Brands was the best and most rip offs ever, never again I buy any wood ,silicon or anything,8 quid for the silicon where plum center and B and Q sells it £4.00 quid, the staff is dry and rude avoid buying anything from these Muppets,TOTAL RIP OFFS RESPECT YOUR MONEY AVOID JEWSONS

Hope you like your delivery drivers to be inattentive, happy to ignore traffic laws, and a danger on the road.
Because that’s what you’ll get with Jewsons.
And then they will claim to have been in the right and it’s your fault for not getting out of the way.
Maybe it’s just the Exeter branch that hires people who take junctions on the wrong side of the road in their determination to get ahead, or who don’t bother to slow and look when making a hard right turn into oncoming traffic.
You have to ask if it’s a risk you’re willing to pay.

need to give there staff customer service training
went to cramlington for some flooring but needed it cut they do not cut it there so when to north shields was told do not know if the person that cuts it is in or if he will have time to cut it. i was a paying customer did not want it for free so i went to B&Q paid £2.00 more a board the person there said it will take 30 seconds to cut the wood which it did they got my service

in this day and age of the net where i can get a bag of screws in the post the next day at half the price of the shop they need every customer and they allowed me to walk out without a sale
i was 2nd in the q and there was only one person on the counter he had to call for more staff and the complaints that were heard from the back before the person that came to serve me there was 5 people in the q
they need to remember that if tomorrow is a quiet day and the next day is a quiet day then unemployment is the day after

Excellent trade service team. Not just good trade discounts staff are knowledgeable and a great assistance when dealing with difficult clients. As a small business owner can always rely on them to deliver both material and service. Quotes are prompt and easy ammendable within each job. Whether fencing or timber solutions always there to assist with a highly knowledgeable personal touch.

Recently had to source some skirting board and ended up in Jewsons Middlewich after having experienced a few uninterested and unhelpful experiences in other places. Everyone was extremely friendly and despite only being for skirting board they could not have been more helpful. They even arranged to drop off the skirting on their next visit to the Kingsmead, Northwich area. Even the chap who dropped off the skirting board was pleasant. Will definitely use them again and would definitely recommend them. Thank you for making the whole experience a pleasure. Your guys in the Middlewich branch are a credit to you.

East Grinstead branch - Really helpful staff, got paperwork and my hired kit ready for me fast, I needed something else and the staff member helped me out with it and threw in some materials for free as a goodwill gesture.

Got some stuff deliverd to a remote area, delivery driver was fantastic, could have taken the easy way out and dropped stuff 100yrds from where it was needed, but didnt, took his time and did what every good driver should, dropped stuff right where it was needed.
I will use that branch again for the rest of the materials i need.

one of their drivers drove into my daughters car and drove without leaving details, when we contacted the company they admitted it but refused to pay for the damage, my daughter has contacted them a number of times , no reply, even the CEO has refused to reply to emails
their head off stated the CEO does not speak to the public

They clearly think they are above the law
