I have to hand it to lastminute.com. Their business model is truly revolutionary.
I asked to edit dates or cancel a trip I paid €350 for. Their customer service agent was incredibly kind and told me, "I will help you out. Do not worry." 24 hours later, the "help" arrived in the form of a bill.
Their math:
- Step 1: I give them my booking back for free so they can sell my tickets to someone else and make a double-profit.
- Step 2: I pay them an additional €105 "handling fee" for the privilege.
- Step 3: They give me €0 in return.
In what world does a "refund" involve the customer paying more money to the company in exchange for absolutely nothing?
It’s not a travel site—it’s a social experiment in how much people will pay to be insulted. Avoid at all costs.

Reis geboekt, luchtvaartmaatschappij heeft de vlucht geannuleerd en Lastminute op de hoogte gebracht. Maar Lastminute heeft mij niets laten weten, als ik zelf niet had gebeld naar de luchtvaartmaatschappij zou ik aan een gesloten gate gestaan hebben, beneden alle peil.

Arrivés sur place l'agence de location de voiture qui nous a été recommandée U SAVE Marrakech nous a carrément racketé ( assurances , état du véhicule, refus Cartes de paiement , empreinte CB 1700€ récupéré 1 mois après , dépassement + de 65 ans . Ce qui nous a fait payer le double du montant initial . A FUIR 😡

Impossible la personne répond par chatte mes personne ne prend le tps de regarder votre dossier et votre demande, résultats on m'envoie un mail pour changer l'horaire de vol.
J'ai recontacté le 4/04 pareil personne peu rien faire pour vous.
Fuyez je vais partir puisque pas le choix pour pas perdre mon argent, mes n'achetez rien chez eux passé votre chemin allée chez Promovacances ils s'on des agences, et go voyages st bien d'après des témoignages ils trouvent une solution en cas où et y réponde au client booking est bien aussi y réponde au client et agissent.
Lasminutes ne répond pas au mail aussi.

Very disappointing experience with Lastminute.
My flights were cancelled, but the company has failed to refund my money. Communication is extremely poor and they do not respond.
This behavior is not only unprofessional but also goes against EU consumer protection laws, which clearly state that customers are entitled to a full refund in case of cancellation.
I would not recommend using Lastminute. Be aware that if something goes wrong, you may struggle to get your money back.

A fuir! Le 28/03/26, j'ai cherché un vol + hôtel à Funchal (Madère) sur Lastminute. Ayant trouvé tardivement la formule qui me convenait, j'ai attendu le lendemain, 29/03/26 pour m'inscrire et transmettre l'information aux amis avec lesquels nous devions voyager. Ils ont pu retenir et ont reçu une confirmation immédiatement. Mais mon ordinateur étant déjà pisté, moi je n'ai reçu qu'un mail de réservation "en cours" pour la même prestation. Aujourd'hui, 30/03/26, j'ai reçu un mail d'annulation et, pour un tarif similaire, on me propose un hôtel beaucoup moins bien, ou alors ce seront plusieurs centaines d'euros en plus! Tant pis, on ne partira pas.

On 7 February, Lastminute provided the last reschedule of our flight, which we accepted. Then, on 9 February, suddenly and without any notice or explanation, we were informed that a partial refund had been issued. No details were given about why this happened.
Today, just hours before check-in, we discovered that the flight was allegedly cancelled. Despite this, the airline’s website shows that the flight is still scheduled to depart as originally planned. Lastminute has refused to refund €110, claiming this is due to promotional fare conditions, even though the cancellation and mismanagement were entirely caused by them. They also attempt to shift responsibility to the airline, citing “operational reasons,” which is misleading and irrelevant.
Under EU Regulation (EC) 261/2004, passengers are entitled to:
Full reimbursement if a flight is cancelled or not operated,
Re-routing at the earliest opportunity, and
Compensation if cancellation occurs less than 14 days before departure, unless extraordinary circumstances apply.
Lastminute’s handling is unlawful. Issuing a partial refund without explanation, withholding the €110 fare, failing to notify passengers in due time, and attempting to blame the airline, while the flight may operate as originally scheduled, is a clear breach of EU passenger rights.
This experience was stressful, confusing, and entirely avoidable. Customers should beware: Lastminute failed to provide the service they sold, violated passenger rights, and refused to act responsibly.
hotel mystery = publicité mensongère
Je partage mon expérience afin d’informer les futurs clients.
Cette plateforme de réservation propose des offres d’« hôtel mystère avec spa ». Sur le papier, la prestation annoncée inclut un établissement équipé d’un spa. Pourtant, une fois la réservation confirmée et l’hôtel attribué, celui-ci n’en dispose finalement pas.
À mon retour de séjour, j’ai donc immédiatement transmis une réclamation. La gestion de mon dossier a été extrêmement longue et, selon moi, peu honnête. On m’a d’abord demandé de fournir les documents en PDF, puis un justificatif de l’hôtel, puis à nouveau de renvoyer l’ensemble des documents regroupés dans un seul PDF. Ces demandes successives donnent l’impression de faire perdre du temps au client.
Au final, j’ai attendu près de quatre mois pour obtenir une réponse. La seule proposition a été un geste commercial de 45 €, ce qui est très loin de compenser la différence entre la prestation annoncée et la réalité.
Je trouve cette pratique très décevante et malhonnête pour un professionnel du tourisme. Les clients devraient recevoir exactement la prestation qui est annoncée.

Impossible de savoir avec certitude lequel des vols est annulé et aucune proposition n'est faite pour remplacer ce vol. Debrouyez vous. Pas de contact téléphonique. Juste une Tchat.

Les gens derrière le chat sont incompétents et me répètent qu’il faut patienter 96 heures!
Lorsque je demande le remboursent de mes billets qui ne sont pas encore édités, ils mettent fin au Chat à chaque fois!!!
N’achetez surtout pas de billets sur leur plateforme.

Hidden fees charged after payment — extremely misleading.
I booked three return tickets from Auckland (NZ) to Delhi on 21 November 2025 through Lastminute.com. The website clearly displayed a total price of NZD $9,118.11 for all three passengers, and no extra fees were disclosed during the booking process. We did not select any insurance or extra services.
After completing payment, I discovered they had deducted an additional NZD $585.84 from my bank account as a separate “booking fee.” This charge was never shown before payment, never disclosed, and never authorised.
When I contacted customer service, they said the fee is “non-refundable,” but they could not explain why the fee was hidden during booking.
This is deceptive and unfair. Hidden fees undermine trust and mislead customers. I have filed a chargeback with my bank and submitted a complaint to the Commerce Commission.
Customers should be extremely careful when booking through this website — always check your bank transactions afterwards.
Liers and scammers
Would never use them again. They did not help our group during a super typhoon. Left us stranded, had no care nor sympathy. They lie and scam. I would completely avoid them at all cost.
Used Lastminute
Used Lastminute. The airline have cancelled the flight and to get a refund i have to go to lastminute. To activate my account I am due to receive an activation email, that NEVER arrives. The help line is disconnected, the AI bot is useless and I just go round and round and round in the same useless loop. So I am due a refund that I cannot claim. I will not be using them again

Made a booking, paid for it, thankfully printed the receipt, but from then on it was down hill.
The system would not send me an email in order to complete my 'account', so I can't go into an account to cancel or receive a refund if needed.
The AI 'CHAT' doesn't do anything - says it will get a customer service agent but never does.
There is no way to get your money back or contact anyone.
I wish I'd never 'found' this website.

Yo consiga ver que esta mal y aporte 2 opciones para rectificar sin perjudicar a LastMinute.
Pasen de mi y cuando voy a cancelar (por incumplimiento de lo contratado debido a fallos), tras 20dias d la contratacion y quedando 45dias para iniciar el viaje, me digan q lo unico q puedo hacer es pagar 2500€ restantes (despues de haber pagado 1.350€) para q me devuelvan 200€ y yo contrate (lo q ellos han "cagado") por mi cuenta.
Luego intenten cobrar "fraudulentamente" y amenacen para sacarme mas dinero, con 1.100€ de "gastos de cancelacion" (insisto, con 45dias para colocar los vuelos a otro).
Y, finalmente, abusen de su fuerza para quedarse con 1.350€ d algo q no he disfrutado por su culpa, por su incompetencia.
Lo dicho... sinvergüenzas no les empieza ni a describir!!

After putting in your credit card information and clicking "Book flight", the page will load for 3 seconds, reload and show you a popup. At this point, you usually expect the popup to be a "Booking confirmed" popup, and the primary button to be a "Back to overview". The primary button is a "Add Full Flex" button, which instantly and without confirmation screen adds 150$ to your booking for a useless service.
Cancelling the service is a marathon via an obscure email buried on the last page of the terms and conditions contract.
NEVER BOOK WITH THIS FIRM.
Absolute rip off
I bought tickets for myself and my 2 kids to travel from London to Australia. I informed lastminute that my son has special needs when booking the ticket. The tickets they sold did NOT have check-in luggage included (which is nuts for a long haul journey) but they advised me to add luggage at the airport. They did not say it would be £430 per bag. To save spending EIGHT HUNDRED AND SIXTY POUNDS, I packed an entire suitcase into my carry on luggage and checked in one bag (at a cost of 430 pounds).
This meant carrying around 18kg of baggage whilst also dealing with my special needs son in transit for 22 hours.
When I emailed my complaint…they suggested that on my return flight that I (again) add luggage at the airport, knowing full well the hidden cost would be 860 quid.
This a genuinely the most dishonest dealing I’ve had with booking online travel. Never using them again.
Book directly! Last minute cancel last minute and can take a week to refund
Booked and paid for a room through last minute. They emailed to cancel for unforeseen circumstances the night before. Rung the hotel and booked directly with no problems. Luckily refund was issued quickly but it says it could take 5-7 days which cancelling the day before could cause serious problems for those on a budget like us!!
