I had a very good experience with this


I had a very good experience with this laboratory. The staff were professional, courteous, and made me feel comfortable throughout the testing process. The facility was clean and well-organized, and my appointment started on time with minimal waiting. The blood draw was quick and painless, and I received my results within the promised timeframe. The staff also explained the process clearly and answered my questions patiently. Overall, I am satisfied with the quality of service and would recommend this lab to others.

I visited the London Medical Laboratory


I visited the London Medical Laboratory on the 8th May 2026 for a full thyroid and antibody test.
It was easy to find as it was local to me, a plus for deciding to book a test with them, easy and convenient booking system, and more importantly quick and efficient.
I found Josh to be very understanding, and knowledgeable and more importantly which is rare for me, no bruising on drawing my blood, that was a bonus, and a surprise so it can be done, 😀
Overall, I would use this service again, pricing was competitive with other services providing the same, main factor it was local to me, and very convenient, plenty of parking, and Josh was great, overall my experience was brilliant, and would recommend and book again.😀😀😀

Zero Customer Service

I concur with a previous reviewer. This company does not answer email or its 'ticketing' system, and the phone has been permanently engaged since last Thursday - I have called the so called 'customer service' number more than 50 times. I do not understand how they were recommended by Which Magazine as a Best Buy - they clearly didn't test the customer service. I am a Which member and will be writing to them to get LML removed from their recommendations.

Shocking service delivery

Shocking service delivery. No answer to emails and the phone is either engaged or not answered. How they are on the NHS website as a recommended supplier I cant understand.

Quick and efficient service.

Quick. Both to deliver test and then quick to produce results. I entered a landline number to which they sent an access code for the results. This didn't work but they resolved the problem and sent the code to my mobile phone within 30 minutes. So impressive problem resolution - always a good test when things don't go quite right.

Good home kit

It was all very efficient and quick. Results were very useful. I found it difficult to collect enough blood and my fingers were getting painful and blue. I'd rather have a nurse take my blood, but it was fine as a home kit. It gave no information about taking blood on an empty stomach or after food; I had to email them and got the reply the next morning....by then I'd done the test.

It was really difficult to get enough


It was really difficult to get enough blood to fill the 2 bottles. There was only 3 lancets and the bottles would not stand in the pack holder. I ended up with 3 purple, very sore and bruised fingers that were sore for days!

Finger-prick testing can sometimes be challenging, particularly if circulation is reduced or if the hands are cold at the time of sampling. We do provide guidance within the kit on warming the hands and encouraging blood flow, but we understand that this process can still be uncomfortable for some individuals.

Pretty easy to do the blood test and


Pretty easy to do the blood test and send back. They did require a fair bit of blood though ( 2 vials), which was a bit of a challenge.The results came quickly and were clear and to the point.

Glad I took the test..

I wanted to do a cholesterol test and bought one after reading an article in Which magazine which highlighted the lab and its test as one of the better ones.The order and registration process was easy enough. The test arrived promptly in a very professional and stylish box. Instructions were easy enough to follow. However, the extraction of blood from my fingers needed to fill the tubes took a long time. I did become a little frustrated. Nonetheless, once completed the process to return was easy and the report came back promptly. It was very detailed and gave recommendations for follow up. I’m glad I did it. I’ve given a four star rating and not five purely because of the time and patience needed to extract the blood.Nonetheless, a very professional service.

Excellent service

Excellent service, very prompt and a very clear and comprehensive report.
I have two opportunities for improvement (audit speak).
1. The lid of the sample vials were very different from both the included written instructions and the online video. I was very unsure if they were correctly closed.
2. The written instructions advised me to prick my middle or third finger at the tip to ‘milk’ the amount of blood required. However, I made two attempts at the very tip of the finger only to get a very small drop of blood before I coagulated and had to be wiped clear with a dry piece of gauze. Then I remembered from a previous experience of sampling to prick my finger at a point just below the thicker skin which forms a pad on the tip of the finger. This allowed a greater flow of blood, such that I had to use the plaster dressing provided to staunch the blood after the sample was taken.

Needs a LARGE Amount of blood to do the test-

I found it a waste of money. I found it impossible to draw the amount of blood they needed with the single use lancets they provided. They sent my results back with "Insufficient sample size"

I had to use to a local clinic to draw blood and then use another test provider in order to test my Chloresterol.

While many customers successfully complete finger-prick collections at home, we recognise that this method can occasionally be difficult depending on individual circulation and sampling conditions. When an insufficient sample is received, it unfortunately prevents the laboratory from performing the analysis.

These people just don't know how to


These people just don't know how to stop making the same mistakes. A year ago I bought a home test kit, 'next day results', they say. Several days later I was still drumming my fingers waiting for the email to arrive. Nothing. I had to chase them to get the test results. They apologized and said that they'll make sure it doesn't happen again.

A year later, I bought another kit, guess what? Exactly the same thing happened. No, worse. Yesterday they sent an email saying the same things they said a year ago, and that the result would be 'completed today'.

Today I am still drumming my fingers waiting to get these blasted test results. What an irritating experience! next time I'll buy the kit from Lloyds Pharmacy, the price is the same and they seem a lot more honest, promising to deliver the test within THREE WORKING DAYS.

At least I won't spend three days drumming my fingers like a fool.

Our aim is always to provide results as quickly as possible, and the majority of tests are reported within the expected turnaround time. However, turnaround times are calculated from when the sample arrives at the laboratory and, on occasion, additional checks or processing requirements can mean results take slightly longer to release. We appreciate that when you are waiting for health information, even a short delay can be frustrating.

Worst test

I received the diabetes test - having trypanophobia isn't a great start but managed to get it done as I've had a couple of issues and diabetes runs in the family so been pushed to do the test.
Sent the test on Monday and got the results today (Thursday) - "Failed" your test has failed due to the sample coagulating.
The anti-coagulate doesn't work, the service used by royal mail doesn't work and now i'm out £45 and no further forward with massive holes in my fingers and bruising.

Scammers

So far no phones are working they are constantly engaged - even tried in the middle of the night which indicates this is deliberate. Queries are given a ticket but not answered.
'Feel free to call us at 020 7183 6122 from 9am - 6pm Monday to Saturday if your request is urgent. ' Try calling it - but they take the money quick enough

The 299 marker allergy test looks non functional

The 299 marker allergy test found me not allergic to anything though I suffer from dust allergy and hayfever. I wrote to them to ask how come and they replied we do not test for all dust, just specific. I am allergic to house dust so maybe they test for Moon dust or are using it... Looks like a scam. Woudl not recommend.
