Alquilamos en Malpensa T1 y nos hicieron firmar rápido en una tablet sin explicarnos nada. El contrato nos lo enviaron por mail, al leerlo no explicaba nada claro que estábamos contratando un cobro de 108,63 por gasoil.
La persona que nos atendió debió informarnos y no lo hizo. Además firmamos en italiano que no entendíamos. Tuvimos buena fe de confiar en esa persona que nos atendía.
Llenamos el depósito en Verona antes de devolverlo en Mestre (a solo 80 km de distancia), por lo que el coche se entregó prácticamente lleno. Pensamos que si había algo de diferencia en el depósito nos la cobrarían, siempre actuando de buena fe.
A pesar de esto, nos han cobrado de forma automática e injusta 108, el equivalente a un depósito entero.
Es una práctica abusiva para sacar dinero al turista aprovechando la falta de información en el mostrador.
Evitad Maggiore si no queréis cargos sorpresa semanas después de vuestro viaje

I booked a car with MAGGIORE in January this year to be collected at Venice airport on June 6 but in May I had to change the pick-up location to Milan because Qatar Airways stopped flying to Venice. I managed to speak to MAGGIORE staff and was told that MAGGIORE was unable to change the location so MAGGIORE suggested me to cancel the booking which I did. MAGGIORE did sent me the email cancellation confirmation on May 31 but MAGGIORE never refunded the rental fee of about Euro596.92. I sent many emails for weeks which were only replied by auto-messages. Finally I received an email confirmation on July 31 that they will repay within 15 days however to date still no refund. MAGGIORE is owned by AVIS so I tried contacting AVIS in the hope they can assist and push for payment but no success to date. Do NOT use MAGGIORE is clearly a scam company!

Des voleurs à l’aéroport De Naples . Ils vous donnent un voiture bien cabossée, avec une dizaine de points sur le constat. Au retour il vous facture un rayure sur le parc choc qui était déjà présente. Impossible de les contacter.

They are scammers!
They charged me a deposit of 200 eur on Alghero airport on car pick up. They explained it's security deposit and will be return 5-7 days after car drop of. It's been more than month and they still didn't return the deposit. I tried many times to contact them via email and the contact form the agency web site but they do not reply. Also I've contacted AVIS, no reply. I've tried to call them but no one answered, you are put on wait and after few minutes they close the line.
AVIS, how can you allow to work with the scammers like this?

Mijn bejaarde moeder heeft met haar bejaarde zus (77 en 82) een auto gehuurd voor 3 weken!!! Achteraf 400 euro extra ingehouden vanwege een zogenaamde upgrade die nooit gevraagd is. Ja, ze moest formulieren ondertekenen snel snel zonder uitleg. Maar waarom zou ze een betaalde upgrade willen terwijl ze maar met zn tweeen waren?! Notabene geboekt via een tussen partij holiday cars die ook niks kan beteken. Echt schandalig!!!!! Komen bij beide partijen niet meer terug!

Update: holiday cars geeft ook niet thuis. Mijn moeder heeft getekend dus zij kunnen niks betekenen. Prima dan is zij nu na 15 jaar!!! Geen klant meer.

An absolute disaster and pure scam! When picking up the car, they rush you to sign documents while claiming it's just a standard security deposit, but instead, they trick you into buying expensive additional insurance that cannot be canceled later.
Naturally, nobody reads every single line of the fine print under pressure at the counter, and they ruthlessly exploit this to rip people off. On top of that, they charge absurd fees for the smallest time differences – if you are 30 minutes early or 30 minutes late, they charge you for a full extra day with crazy rates.
This is outright fraud and manipulation. I will never use this car rental company again, and I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of them. Watch out and read every single piece of paper before signing anything!

Consegnato la macchina dopo quasi 2 mesi nessuno rimborso cauzione, mille telefonate nessuno riesce a darmi dove si può chiedere! Pessimo esperienza

Auto voor het dubbele bedrag MOETEN meenemen. Hagel deuken (we hebben alleen zon gehad) zaten in de auto en dit werd echter alleen opgemerkt bij het terugbrengen, gelukkig hadden we het gefilmd.
Ik moest uiteindelijk €200 meer betalen werd in zeer slecht engels aan de balie verteld. Er is €400 meer dan afgesproken afgeschreven. Klantenservice niet bereikbaar. Bij inleveren wordt je snel een te tekenen contract onder de neus gedrukt dat ik niet rustig mocht doorlezen.. Wat een oplichters!!!!

The first car supplied had a dangerous tyre bulge which could have lead to a blow out. Refused the car and given different car that had not been prepared properly but was okay. On returning to the UK I received a €30 charge on my credit card with no explanation and not showing on my invoice. The company will not respond.

el dia 16 de julio alquiler un coche hasta el dia 22 , el coche fue entregado en el mismo estado que cuando lo recogi y ademas se le entrego con el deposito lleno sin embargo cuando ya estaba en el avion me cobraron por la cara 531,44 euros , voy a poner una denuncia policial y lo digo ya por aqui ademas de no haber cumplido con lo que me costaba el alquiler que eran 320 y han sido 380 casi mil euros por 6 dias de alquiler de un vehiculo es de mucha verguenza.

He intentado llamarles y nunca responden les he enviado un email y nunca me han respondido y lo mismo con el formulario de reclamacion de su pagina web NUNCA ME HAN RESPONDIDO.

MI CONSEJO NO ALQUILEIS CON ESTA EMPRESA.

Aluguei e paguei uma aluguer durante 16 dias em portugal, faltando apenas pagar 85,40€ no ato da entrega da viatura. Tinha comprado o serviço com seguro total. Quando vou para receber o carro pago mais 1250€ porque diziam que não tinha seguro. Após revisão do contrato, volto ao local para reclamar, anulam-me o contrato e fazem outro sem o seguro incluído, dizem que apenas me devolvem o dinheiro no fim da entrega da viatura. Acho isto muito estranho. Como resolver esta situação?

Ich habe meinen Mietwagen über CarJet mit Vollversicherung gebucht und wurde vor Ort trotzdem um eine zusätzliche Unterschrift gebeten. Mir wurde gesagt, diese sei nur für Vertrag und Kaution – tatsächlich wurde mir damit ohne klare Aufklärung eine weitere Versicherung verkauft.
Nach der Rückgabe wurden mir dafür mehrere Hundert Euro berechnet, obwohl ich bereits versichert war. Das ist aus meiner Sicht klarer Betrug durch fehlende bzw. irreführende Information...

Aeropuerto de Bérgamo. Coche entregado en tiempo y forma, con mas gasolina que la que tenía en la entrega y ha pasado mas de un mes y aún estoy esperando mis 200€ de fianza!!!

Monos amaestrados son los que tienen por trabajadores telefónicos. Interpuse una reclamación y ni pio. Pienso mover todos los hilos que pueda hasta conseguir mi dinero.

NADA RECOMENDABLE. LO PEOR DE LO PEOR.

Si j'avais pu mettre 0 je l'aurais mis! Ils m'ont fait prendre pour 500 euros d'assurances pour une semaine de location ! En me disant que ce n'était qu'une garantie que je récupérerais à la fin du voyage. C'est lorsque j'ai vu qu'au lieu de recuperer l'argent ils le prelevaient à la fin du voyage (j'étais déjà de rerour chez moi) que je me suis rendu compte de l'arnaque ! Au total la location d'une semaine m'est revenue à plus de 900 euros ! À fuir!!

FINGER WEG! ABZOCKE! Anmietung war unkompliziert, Rückgabe erfolgte aufgrund meines Rückfluges ohne Übergabe. Der Schalter ist nicht durchgehend besetzt, daher Schlüsselrückgabe im Schließfach (Fotos, Videos gemacht, kein von mir verursachter Schaden). Als ich aus dem Flieger in Deutschland ausgestiegen bin, wurde mir die Kaution von 200 E belastet + 348 E. Keine Mail, Info, Grund oder sonstiges. Zudem wurde der Betrag von 348 E ohne Namensangabe vorgenommen, nur mit einer 9stelligen Nummer. Ich musste Anzeige bei der Polizei erstatten, da unklar war wer der Abbucher ist und meine Bank ohne die Anzeige nicht ermittelt und eine Rückbuchung vornimmt. Das Geld habe ich von der Kreditkartenfirma mittlerweile zurück. Maggiore arbeitet mit Avis zusammen. Rückgabe erfolgte am 22.05.2026, Stand 23.07.2026 kam weder nach mehrfacher schriftlicher Beschwerde bei Maggiore (BSP Auto), noch von Avis eine Rückinfo. Weder zum Grund der Abbuchung, noch Rechnung oder sonstiges. Sowas habe ich tatsächlich noch NIE erlebt! Das grenzt tatsächlich an Betrug!

Betrüger!!! OLBIA: Hatten über check24 einen Wagen mit vollem Versicherungsschutz gebucht. Vor Ort fragte ich den Mitarbeiter, ob er einen Voucher wollte, was dieser verneinte. Wortlos hämmerte er auf dem Computer rum, gab uns ein Pad zur Unterschrift (angeblich nur für die Kaution). Er hat weder gefragt, ob wir eine Versicherung wollen, noch irgendetwas davon erwähnt. Nach Rückkehr wurden uns über 630 Euro für Versicherungen abgebucht, die wir bereits check24 bezahlt hatten! Ohne Info und ohne unser Wissen hatten wir für ein Versicherungspaket unterschrieben unter Vortäuschung falscher Tatsachen. Das ist arglistige Täuschung!! Auch check24 erstattet nicht! Warum arbeitet man mit solchen dubiosen Firmen zusammen, wenn Kunden sich imemr wieder beschweren? Künftig keine Versicherung bei check24 buchen, nur vor Ort, sonst bezahlt man doppelt. Am besten auch nicht mehr über Mittler wie check24 buchen!

Pessima esperienza non sono riuscita a contattare l’agenzia di noleggio presso l’aeroporto di Palermo dalle 9.30 del mattino per tutto il pomeriggio, mi mettevano in attesa senza riuscire a parlare con un operatore. Ho avuto un problema e non ho avuto nessun tipo di assistenza.

1. Not the car we booked, in fact they don't rent that model....why is it on the website then?
We got a SHED on wheels, far too wide for Tuscan roads.

2. No SATNAV......its been disabled.
Work around....use the phone.

In an ideal world the person behind the desk ought to offer 'advise'...."ah you're going to Southern Tuscany, I advise a smaller vehicle, etc, etc".
No pride in their role...a good example of AI robot replacement.
3. You get a registration number and the car lot reference. How about a person on the parking lot directing you to your car, show you the basics.
Is it too much to ask?

4. Courtesy should be standard, not sarcasm and rudeness.

MAGGIORE and AVIS are the same company.

Confermo senza esitazione il mio giudizio: la compagnia di autonoleggio Maggiore si è dimostrata, nella mia esperienza, del tutto inaffidabile, con una gestione che considero gravemente scorretta e tale da farmi sentire letteralmente truffato.

A rendere la vicenda ancora più intollerabile è stato il comportamento dell’operatrice presente al desk Maggiore presso l’aeroporto di Verona. La dipendente si è rivolta a noi con arroganza, supponenza e maleducazione, assumendo costantemente un atteggiamento di superiorità, come se fossimo incapaci di comprendere ciò che stava accadendo.

Non soltanto non ha risolto il problema, ma con il suo comportamento e con la totale incapacità di gestire la situazione lo ha ulteriormente aggravato. Invece di fornire assistenza, ha mostrato disinteresse, scarsa professionalità e assoluta mancanza di rispetto nei confronti del cliente.

Il limite della decenza è stato superato quando si è permessa di rivolgersi a persone adulte, e peraltro professionisti, chiamandole con tono paternalistico “ragazzi”. Non si tratta di una semplice questione terminologica, ma dell’ennesima dimostrazione di un atteggiamento offensivo, irriguardoso e incompatibile con qualsiasi minimo standard professionale.

Pagare per un servizio e ritrovarsi senza una soluzione, trattati con sufficienza e persino umiliati dal personale, è semplicemente vergognoso. Maggiore dovrebbe selezionare e formare meglio chi rappresenta l’azienda al pubblico, perché un simile comportamento danneggia gravemente l’immagine della compagnia.

La mia esperienza è stata disastrosa sotto ogni punto di vista. Non mi rivolgerò mai più a Maggiore e sconsiglio vivamente questa compagnia a chiunque voglia evitare problemi, perdite di tempo e un trattamento indegno.
