I was one one of those who supported the Project of the Mate X few years ago. The bike looks really cool.

1 - I go the bike 15 months after I bought it.
2 - The bike is built with really cheap parts. I had to change many screws few weeks after I got the bike. Cable after one year are brocken. battery also not having a long life.
3 - Customer service is a NO GO. if you write them an email ... NO ANSWER at all.

If you need parts:
Just MATE, you cannot find some alternative.
from their website: 2/3 weeks shipping!

I would have loved this bike, idea is really cool, but the company is UNPROFESSIONAL at all.

I warn everybody to spend 2/3k for this product.
you will regret it.

I am extremely impressed and thankful re my experience communicating with Momen at MATE.
He was attentive and went out of his way to advise the cost and postage to Australia for the item I was interested in. ‘Mate’ is a very Australian word, meaning Good Friend and that discribes my ‘X’ perfectly. Well done MATE. 👍😜👍

Fik udskiftet min 750 watt motor på min mate x til 250 watt befang motor og ny kæde uden beregning. Glad for skiftet motor larmer væsentlig mindre og 25 km i timen er også ok. Kørt 3000 km på cyklen og har skiftet bremseklodser og dæk godt tilfreds med cyklen.

It takes too long to get product delivered when ordered. There needs to be better access to replacement products.

I had a problem with the Mate X STOPPED FROM JULY 2022 waiting for a spare part the problem was solved in January 2023.

They started out with informing me on how to keep the battery up to date and at optimal preformance. After some back and fort I got a new bike display without any issues and it was deliverd a few days later.

Also als ich das MATE.BIKE gesehen hatte, wollte ich mir sofort eins bestellen. Ich habe im November 2022 mein MATE.JET-GREY bestellt und es war im Dezember 2022 da aus Kopenhagen. Einen Super Support, vor allem muss ich THORE lobenswert erwähnen! Es wurden auf alle meine E-Mails zeitnah geantwortet, und mir auch weitergeholfen. TOP- SERVICE!!!
Am Tag wo mein MATE verpackt vor der Tür stand, war ich so aufgeregt und wollte es sofort aufbauen, dass ging auch super einfach und war in kürzester Zeit bereit für die Straßen. Schlüssel rein, umgedreht, eingeschaltet und los! Also ich kann nur eins sagen, es macht richtig Spaß damit zufahren, ich werde nur von Leuten positiv angesprochen, und vor allem bin ich noch nie solange mit dem Fahrrad gefahren, wie mit meinem MATE. Ich möchte garnicht mehr absteigen, wir sind einfach super glücklich zusammen! Also das Auto brauche ich nicht mehr, weil ich nur noch mit meinem MATE unterwegs bin. Also ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen!!!! Liebes MATE-TEAM macht weiter so!!! Und Danke…. einfach nur ein Traum!!!

There is one special guy at the customer aftersales service, his name is Momen. And these guy helps me so much. This was one of my best customer experience ever!! Just perfect! This is what customer service means!!Thank you so much Momen.

After a long and arduous journey with the service, I made an entry on Trustpilot after 12 months of waiting for my replacement battery. In the same week, a very nice employee got in touch and helped me within 8 weeks. Momen checked in every week and took very good care of me and finally after 15 months of waiting I had my replacement battery.

Adam not only did his best to help me, he then sent me a follow-up letter to see if his suggestions helped. That was unexpected, and rather nice of him.

The mateX I orders is awesome, no question. I had a problem with the charger though. It made a weird noise. And here I hade a very good experience with the Support (Momen). I got an answer within 12h and a replacement is already on its. Way. To sum it up: the Mate X is an awesome bike and they don’t leave you alone when there occurs a problem.

I was having trouble using my mate-x bike computer and the Mate service staff was kind enough to walk me through it despite my failed attempts to Google my issues. Thank you again for having patience and have a great day.
