I have used this company several times over the years, for end of tenancy cleans and spring cleaning. The whole process is straight forward from start to finish and the work is always done to a high standard. I have always got my bond back from landlords, which isn't always easy. I have had cheaper quotes but I prefer sticking with this company because they always explain what will be included and how long it will take. A lot of other quotes I've received just give me the overall price without much explanation. Always worth paying a little bit more when I know I get what I need. I have recommended to family and friends who have also booked and again been very happy with the result.

Needed an end of tenancy clean very last minute. From start to finish both office and cleaning team were amazing. Thank you!

I want to start by saying that in the lead up to the clean there were no problems - clear communication, availability when I needed it and responses with information when I enquired. I booked two visits to my house for a deep clean following a renovation.
 
The first visit was to do the upstairs and the second visit was to cover downstairs.
 
Visit 1 went without a hiccup.
 
Visit 2 was when things began to take a turn.
 
Firstly, I noticed, and pointed out to one team member scratches on our (quite literally) brand new floor. Of course, it was outright denied that they made the scratches and of course I couldn't prove it.
 
Secondly, for a significant period of the clean, one team member stood at my dining table doing his personal admin. On the phone with somebody, with his driving license and letters in front of him. He made no attempt to stop or hide what he was doing when I walked into the room.
 
Lastly, at the end of the clean, one team member was stood in my back garden, by the open back door smoking. I asked another team member to have him move to the front of the property. I am asthmatic and we are a non smoking house and the smell was coming in. Eventually, after much conversation, he threw his cigarette into my garden; which I find deeply disrespectful.
 
Upon completion, I was asked me to sign a satisfaction form. To say this was signed under duress would be an understatement. On my own at the house with three strangers, I signed the form, which asks me to judge their work in front of them, whilst they were stood over me. You’re left with very little choice but to say that the work is fine. (I don’t believe feedback should be requested in this way). I did however add a note that I wasn’t satisfied with the behaviour of the team.
 
Subsequently, I followed up on email with all information detailed above to the same customer service representative that had been helpful before the clean. I received an email back to say that, as I’d signed a satisfaction form, that was that.
 
No apology for their employees smoking on my property or for their employees doing their life admin on time I’d paid for.
 
My emails to them are now being blocked and are undelivered.
 
I’m appalled and would urge real caution – they clearly have no process in for customer care. I will caveat all of this by saying that the clean itself (aside from the scratches), we have had no problems with.

Great service from booking to cleaning. Needed an extreme cleaning job and the cleaners themselves were very understanding of situation and did a great job.

The team of four that came to my mother's home to clear very many years if accumulated rubbish all worked incredibly hard to return her home to a sanitary condition.
The whole process took 5 days in which time 4 huge skips were filled. The first 4 days was devoted to clearing the home and the final day to cleaning. The results were truly astonishing and my mother is now back home having been discharged from hospital.
I have nothing but praise for the work ethic and efficiency of the entire process and I would certainly use them again, but hopefully now my mother with support won't get into such a pickle again,

I emailed this company to do an end of tenancy clean. They said they could provide this and gave me a price. The carpets and oven were included in the price.
As we had moved out at this point, we asked a kind neighbour and friend to check on the cleaning after it had been done. In no way would I have thought that every single detail would have needed to be checked so unfortunately when we checked on the oven, we found it to be of a disgusting state. I did email to be told we 'signed the satisfaction form' so basically they will not be doing anything further. I think that is really bad customer service and because of this we would not recommend at all. If they are used I would insist on people checking every single detail. I would have added pictures but it's not giving me am option to do so

David and Janet were on time, polite and did an excellent job. Cleaned the whole house to a high standard and took photos to show what had been done.

End of tenancy clean completed perfectly, at the agreed time, for a very reasonable cost.

Mel's Cleaning maintained really good communication with me even though I was trying to manage this cleaning job from a different country!

These guys did an incredibly efficient job in handling a most complex long-term hoarding situation. They dealt sensitively with the occupants of the home and did an amazingly good job of clearing the property and then cleaning it thoroughly.
All of this was managed 'long-distance' as I'm not resident in the UK but this didn't pose any difficulties.
This Company isn't cheap, but they deliver and I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

The four man team did a great job on a hoarder's property, removing the accumulated articles and doing an excellent cleaning job on the cleared property. Mel's is not cheap but we thought it good value for money, given the dedication of the team.
I have given only 4 stars due to the need to pay fully upfront and this caused us some difficulty in setting the date. A deposit with the balance to pay before the visit would have made life easier for us.

Great team of cleaners came to clean my house. The cleaners not only cleaned they also tidied the house. I highly recommend the service

Empathy and compassion is key to this team. The amount done in such a short time is incredible and to a very high standard. Communication is excellent, no job too big and very quick to fit you into the schedule. Absolutely, 100% recommend for sensitive, hardworking people with empathy for disabled/mental health needs

From my initial phone call with Amanda, to the team that performed the work, I am over the moon with the service.

I had not had even the closest of friends visit me in over a year, and was at breaking point emotionally.

Amanda took time on two phone calls to patiently and sensitively go over what I wanted and to address the (many) questions I had.

I had Pavlina and her partner Mark come for 6 hours (equating to 12 working hours total). I was incredibly nervous but they were on time, and instantly warm and friendly. As they were first people to step in my home I became quite upset but they were very empathetic and reassuring which made the whole process a lot easier.

The amount they managed to do within the time exceeded what I had expected, and there was a lot of attention to detail. When i returned at the end of their time Marc said something along the lines of “it’s your home again” which has made me cry again as I write.

They have done something truly life changing for me and I am so grateful.

Needed an end of tenancy cleaning and I stumbled across Mel's cleaning online and I am extremely happy! First when I needed something amended on the quote, they were happy to help me and did it so very quickly. Charles and his team came to the property when it was time and they were very friendly and polite and that put me at ease, as its hard to find good and trustworthy cleaners nowadays. When we came back to see the property I was amazed on how clean everything was and the apartment was shiny like new! They did a brilliant job and I will be using them again in the future!

The cleaners were nice but I paid for a five-hour two-person clean and they finished really early when there were still some things that could have had more attention. No offer of a discount for the early finish, and then we went through a whole bureaucratic nightmare with a form to sign off what they did and they had no idea what was going on.

Decent, but probably not worth the price and could have had better attention to detail.

We recently used Mel's Cleaning service for our home in the UK. We were very impressed. The two cleaners arrived on time and were professional and customer friendly. They were thorough in all aspects of cleaning and also accommodated our needs well. We were very pleased with the final outcome, so would definitely recommend this cleaning company to anyone. We look forward to using their services again in the future.

Since my last review when I mentioned poor customer services, I have been through all my belongings that the cleaners put into bin bags for me (as I not only had a clean but a clear up of all my things) and I've noticed that my expensive hair curlers and designer glasses have gone missing... I didn't notice then when I did a check around the flat before the cleaners left because there are over 10 bin bags full of my things which would have meant opening them all and keeping the cleaners waiting. I've since been back in touch with Mel's Cleaning to let them know that items have gone missing and the best they could do was email me my approval form that I signed and then block me! As I mentioned on my last review, poor customer services and their default position is to quote your approval form to you... I will be reporting this rip of merchants to trading standards, nearly 700 pounds charged to clear and clean a one bedroom flat and all the money upfront, no deposit! Missing items and then to be blocked on email... I can hazard a guess as to which employee carried that out!
