Both members of staff in today were super helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. I’ve shopped at the Brighton Millets several times and honestly it’s always a great experience. Whether it’s knowledge around climbing gear or how to get the best bang for your buck with cleaning supplies etc you can’t beat these guys, they rock!

Discussed rucksacks, shoes, tents, and sleeping bags with Mike while planning a wild camp trek on the WHW. He was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I’ll definitely return for more advice.

The service received from Mike and Elea was excellent. I was after some hiking boots. The information Mike gathered from asking various questions and having a conversation meant I walked away with not only a great pair of shoes that fit beautifully but also some helpful information. I will be back for more products in the near future.

I bought a pair of soft winter gloves after the fantastic approach from one of the staff ( a gentleman) in the shop. It's clear that the people working there-care! Thank you.

I went in for a pair of walking shoes. Mike helped me today and went above and beyond. A true demonstration of customer service! Normally you choose a pair, ask for your size, get asked if they fit okay. Mike asked me why I was needing these shoes, measured my feet, asked me about my lifestyle, and watched me walk, suggested and explained why this shoe choice would be best. I have had an appointment with a podiatrist before and Mike was able to identify my foot needs … more than expected when I first walked in the shop. Great service, it is appreciated and would highly recommend!

Mike was totally amazing and very knowledgable about the climbing shoes I’ve been looking for all over Brighton. He sounds like he really knows his stuff so I’m very confident and looking forward to my first trip to Portland. A plus experience !

After suffering with extreme heel pain for a few months, I was looking for a shoe with more support and stability. Mike served me. I was astounded at his knowledge and understanding of not only the problem I was having but the product he recommended ..I purchased the shoes he recommended. I’ve worn them for less than a week now and the improvement in my heel pain is remarkable. Better, quicker and easier than seeing a GP!! Go see Mike!! Thanks very much Mike! Came in to the Brighton shop with little knowledge of the correct walking boots for my hiking based travelling. Mike was incredible and had a vast amount of knowledge and helped so much with the correct boots for me. I’ve come out with a great pair of boots and feeling like a hiking boot expert myself! Definitely recommend chatting to Mike with any uncertainties or questions in the shop, he’s the guy!

Mike gave me expert level advice & helped me choose walking shoes & hiking boots right for my feet & needs. If you have ever had any aches, pains or problems anywhere in your body after walking let him know & he can help you.

I recommend going early in the morning when it is quiet then you can have his undivided attention. Mike told me so many things I wanted to know about hiking boots, care thereof and about socks & insoles etc. Much appreciated!

I found Mike to be what I call ‘naturally helpful’. He wants to share his knowledge and help you make the right choices. So much better than tramping around all the outdoor shops getting increasingly overwhelmed by the choice.

I just wanted to step in and write something that I didn’t expected during my shopping day as it’s Sunday and everywhere I have been in were more of ignorance and not bothered. Since then walked off and came up to this shop and I have to leave something for someone called Elea helpful and thoughtful as soon as I walked came up with a smile showing me what i actually needed tried it and was happy mostly thinking about the greeting that actually really pleased me and some others I could of seeing it when was there. So pleased to find that this Millets has re opened on Air Street in central Brighton.
Michal the manager was so helpful, knowledgeable and patient with my various kitting out purchases.
So refreshing to be able to find personal customer service in this age of fast consumerism.
Definitely will be returning for more outdoor kit soon.
