Would not hesitate in recommending this company.
From initial telephone conversations to installing a new combi boiler I received a very good service. I left the lads all day to get on with the job and when I returned it was finished and no mess to tidy up.
A follow up phone call to make sure I was satisfied was very much appreciated. All relevant paperwork was forwarded to me via e-mail almost immediately.

Contacted this family run company on the recommendation of Worcester/Bosch when my Firebird combi boiler broke down after only 7 years. A surveyor was with us in 48 hours and gave us two estimates, one to fit an outside Combi and one to fit in the same place as the old one. I chose the more expensive re-siting option and was given a fitting date. Nicholsons rang me 24 hours before the fit date to say that a job had over run and would it be possible for the fitters to come the following day I said it was ok. They arrived the following day and the job was completed to a high standard in two and a half days, exactly like they promised and to our satisfaction. The workmen were friendly and polite (and carpet and flooring respectful), but most importantly for us they were professional and knew exactly what they were doing. They even fixed a small pipe on one of my radiators because we were concerned about pressure loss. Such is my faith in Nicholsons, I have joined their monthly boiler upkeep scheme, because I am confident they will respond very quickly to an emergency. It is now 2 months since the boiler installation and I couldn’t be more pleased, I therefore recommend this company to all, oh and the lady who answers the phone (yes a firm that answers the phone - unusual in these times) is wonderful, so down to earth.

I would wholeheartedly recommend the services of Nicholson’s. They installed a new combi boiler system in a highly professional manner, explaining their processes patiently and thoroughly at every turn. The fitters took pride in their work, carried out the installation efficiently and tidily and even sorted out a long-standing problem we had with a shower fitting with no expectation of extra payment. Local businesses that are this good deserve to have their workmanship recognised and applauded. I would definitely make them your first point of contact if you need advice on household heating.

Annual boiler service was done perfectly.
Gas fire was serviced and advised of a slight fault. Told Mr Nicholson that I was thinking of replacing fire with a wood stove.
He informed me that some parts for fire were becoming difficult to obtain.
Excellent service in a very professional manner.
Will return next year for my annual service.

The company fitted a replacement boiler, removed a redundant hot water tank and all unnecessary pipe work. The team were very professional throughout, cleaned away all their mess at the end of each day and kept me up to date with what they were doing. The admin staff were also wonderful.

Nicholson's fitted a new Vaillant Boiler for us yesterday. They were very efficient from start to finish of the project, offering choice of boiler and arranging supply very quickly indeed . The three las who fitted the boiler were extremely pleasant to have in the house and very quickly carried out the installation and tidied up very well after they had finished. Thank you very much for the attention to detail given.

Contacted Nicholson’s to replace boiler for my 84 year old mother. Estimate given promptly with a choice of boilers by very helpful and professional office staff.Contacted both by telephone and email regarding fitting and payment.
The boiler was fitted by three professional lads who cleaned up afterwards and removed carpet coverings and explanation given how to operate.

Replaced a 20yr Baxi Boiler with an ATAG Economiser 35 and installed TRVs on all radiators….great service throughout process from John Nicholson with his home visit and advice right through to the installation and all final paperwork…great communication throughout…..the lads who did the installation were friendly and tidy also set up the Nest Learning Thermostat…a hassle free experience for something I wasn’t looking forward to….well done to all and i would highly recommend this company for any heating needs.

Removal of a very old boiler and replacement boiler fitted to a high standard and in a new location. Excellent job from start to finish . The fitters were extremely polite and competent .All rubbish was removed and tidied each day.

Replaced an old Baxi boiler by a new Atag. A site visit by the boss with wise advice and experience, quotation with 8 options over the price range, helpful team in the office, boilers in stock. Installation one week later by a pair of young, cheerful and entirely competent fitters. The finished job is much neater than the tangle that came out. The company took care of warranty registration and emailed certificates a few days later. Happy customer then.

Myself and my dad had new boilers fitted by Nicholsons. My dad got the silver Vaillant Etotec boiler suitable for a house and i got the bronze Vaillant Ecotec boiler suitable for my flat. I could not recommend this company enough and they proved to be very reliable throughout. The receptionist is lovely and friendly and explained everything in full. The two lads Jacob and Liam who fit the boilers were hard workers, friendly and left no mess at all. They did a fantastic job and explained how to work everything once the boilers were fitted. The communications myself and my dad have received were helpful and professional. I would recommend Nicholsons to all friends and family. Many thanks.

Fantastic service from start to finish. Ailsa answered my call for help when boiler gave up on me and arranged engineer then quote and installation quickly, keeping in touch all through the process.
We chose an ATAG Economiser Silver Combi 31KW, which was fitted by Gary and his apprentice who were both great, dust sheets put down and no mess at all. Can't fault the service at all and wouldn't hesitate to recomend.
