Shout out to Adam, went in today to collect a vehicle and he had it all ready for us even though we were running late! Find the team here very helpful as they look after the majority of the vans we use for the business.

Northgate Leicester what can I say there service is 2nd to none nothing is to much trouble and they are all willing to go that extra mile to help, Asha Chloe and Sharon go above and beyond to help.
18/8/23 on a visit to Northgate to collect a vehicle i had the pleasure of meeting Nick on reception a gentleman i had not dealt with in the past but just like the other members of staff at Northgate nothing was to much trouble Northgate Leicester a pleasure to deal with.

I can honestly say northgate is the worst hire company out there.

Save your money and use someone else.

Beware.
Take someone with you to pick up a van.
Someone that can quickly look at a van and spot small cracks in screens and dents in panel work. Include wheels and tyres in your inspection. Wheel trim scuffs will get you a bill so check them. Oh, and check the roof for dents and scratches along with the underside.
Unless you do, and inform them of all the problems you will be made to pay on its return. No amount of reasoning will stop them charging you.
Van I collected had the rear left door pushed in and the right-hand rear indicator lens cracked along with a host of other damage which they had not noted. When pointed out these problems were added to North Gates hand over sheet with a bit of embarrassment.
When you take the vehicle back have it checked over by a body shop before taking it back as they will charge you for even the smallest thing. Don't rely on their 50mm dent statement because if there's any distortion between dents, they will class it as one. Person inspecting vehicle on return tells you he lists everything then someone checks it to specification afterwards which is not true. No cold repairs are done by them so if there's a problem you will be charged to have the part removed and repainted and badges renewed even if it could have a paint less dent repair done.
Your deposit will be held and so difficult to get back off them so allow for e-mails and phone calls to get it back. I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned from 07/10/22. Today’s excuse for not paying is that the person who does that is not in till tomorrow. Last excuse was that invoices had been added to my account since the return of the vehicle RAC attendance for missing keys and repairs. Even with assurances that it will be done tomorrow, and someone will ring you back don't take it for granted that will happen.
I pity the big firms that send vans back with a driver that's probably never been in the van because they can’t argue on your behalf.
While I don't suggest that Northgate pick up the bill for your damage I do think the system they use is poor. Perhaps even a system that listens to their customers instead of barrelling them down a route they are not comfortable with.
There are far better companies out there.
I know I won’t ever use them again nor will I recommend them in any way.
