great selection of trees…
They have a great selection of trees and were really helpful with my delivery waiting til I’d returned from abroad.
Getting hold of someone in the office was tricky but the specimen tree was delivered on the day all be it quite late in the day but no matter.
I was a bit disappointed how many branches were broken from transit though. One side has much shorter branches compared to the other due mostly to the breaks.
I’m assured this will right itself over the next growing season and it was reassuring to get this feedback from my request but time will tell. I’m hoping it will be lovely in a couple of years when it’s settled in and got bushier.

Recent mature Acer purchase
I recently purchased a mature Acer tree from Ornamental Trees and have been extremely pleased with the experience from start to finish.
Before making the purchase, I emailed them with several questions, all of which were answered promptly and helpfully. Their responses gave me the confidence to go ahead with the purchase. The delivery instructions were also followed perfectly, and the tree arrived safely and without any problems.
After delivery, I had a few further questions about the tree, including why some of the upper branches were missing leaves. Once again, they were incredibly helpful and took the time to explain everything to me, which was very reassuring.
The tree itself looks fantastic. It is exactly the right height and appears very healthy. It does have a noticeable lean to one side, but I am hoping to correct its posture to some extent when I plant it.
What has impressed me most is how reassuring and supportive the team has been throughout the whole process. They have made it clear that if I encounter any issues in the future — for example, if the tree doesn’t follow its usual seasonal patterns — I can get back in touch with them for review.
Everyone I have dealt with by email has been exceptionally kind, responsive and professional. I am very with the level of customer service, and I would happily purchase from Ornamental Trees again.

Will be ordering more.
Since moving house a year ago and inheriting a big landscaping project there, we have ordered several trees and large plants from different nurseries. Ornamental Trees is the only company (out of 5 we have tried) that were exceptionally communicative before and during delivery and managed to deliver to the right address at the right time. This is not, apparently, as easy it might sound. The trees themselves were excellent and we are v happy with all the plants we’ve received. Will certainly be using them again.

The tree I received was shrivelled with…
The tree i received was shrivelled with brown leaves, clearly unhealthy and had been for sometime. When I sent photos u was told this was “normal”. With other vendors I have been refunded for the plant or they have a shipped a new one. This was not the case with Ornamental Trees

The weather conditions experienced this year have been particularly challenging for Acers, with many suffering from leaf scorch. I was enormously disappointed
I was enormously disappointed.Having discussed weeks in advance with the suppliers how important quality, size and shape of my desired eucalyptus tree were to me, I ordered a delivery to my house some three weeks in advance. In my predicted absence the tree was delivered to my Isle of Wight address, as requested, on Friday 25 September potted and wrapped in strong brown paper wrapping. On my return home two days later, on opening the packaging, it was clear that two significant tall branches had broken off inside the packaging. The breaks did not look new. It appeared that they probably took place before despatching to my home, as opposed to in transit. Because of my travel plans I had to make a snap decision as to whether to accept it and plant it. Or whether to complain and wait for a resolution and a re-delivery before being able to plant a replacement. I don’t have the time or opportunity to chose the latter course of action because of long planned travel arrangements. So I planted the tree with help from my gardener last Monday. It looks alright but the broken branches are very apparent and change the overall shape height and impression of the tree
It is extremely disappointing to find myself in this position. I believe that the tree should have been checked thoroughly before being despatched.
This did not work out to my satisfaction!

Thank you for your review, and we are sorry to hear you are not completely happy with your tree. As with any living product, there is always a risk of some damage occurring during transit, although we take great care to prepare and protect our trees to minimise this as much as possible.
Due to the delivery location, the final delivery arrangements and handling are outside of our direct control. However, all of our trees are carefully prepared for their time in transit, and we always want to ensure that any concerns are addressed wherever possible.
We have been unable to locate any previous communication regarding your concerns. If you are unhappy with the condition of your tree, please do contact our team and send across some photographs showing the damage. We will be happy to assess these and provide the best advice, while working with you towards a suitable solution.
