Do not buy Palliser furniture.
We bought the Palliser Miami two-piece sectional with chaise in leather almost nine months ago. Within three months, the sofa part of the sectional became unbearably uncomfortable to sit on. The padding moved around to the point that you were sitting crooked or itâs like sitting on the floor. The stuffing in the back cushions has slumped to the bottom of the cushions. We are a two-person household with a combined weight under 300 lbs, no pets, no children so the furniture is definitely not abused. Am currently dealing with the furniture store where this purchase was made. The furniture store sent out a technician to look at the sectional in February. In his opinion, the sectional looked two-three years old when it was five months old at that time. The sectional is now to be removed from our house to the furniture store repair shop for a new âseat block.â While we sit on the floor in the meantime. I had a 17 year old leather club chair from Ethan Allen that looked brand new and this Palliser piece hasnât lasted one year. Would not recommend this company to anyone.
Palliser Q91 Electric Recliner
My wife ordered the Q91 chair from Bracko Brothers here in Calgary in October 2021 and it was delivered to us Feb 17, 2022. The next day the leg rest became frozen in the up position. Bracko service staff attended a day later and suddenly it was working again. But during the following week it failed again. Problem appeared to be with the switch? On March 03 Bracko provided us a substitute Q91 floor model and took our chair away for repair. On May 18 the leg rest on our substitute chair froze just above the lower position. I also noted that one of the zippers had separated. Bracko service guy attended the following day and found the bolt connecting the lifting arm to the motor had not been tightened and subsequently disconnected. Functionality was restored when he reinserted and tightened the bolt. He also noted the separated zipper. Our original chair is still in their shop requiring attention of an upholstery specialist to investigate site of issue. Full marks to Bracko for customer responsiveness. Low marks to Palliser for Quality Control.
Do not buy any Palliser Furniture
Do not buy any Palliser Furniture. We bought 2 Q91 chairs and waited months for them to be delivered. Of course they took their payment right away. Within a week of getting them the chairs would vibrate as the legs were going up. We were told to take pictures and videos of it. When we looked under the chairs and there were long white cords hanging out from the interior and one chair the zipper was broken so it couldn't even be zipped closed. Then the chairs would get stuck with the legs up and no way to lower them. There is definitely no quality control in their manufacturing process. And doesn't appear to be any customer service either.
We bought them through Sleep galleria but they said they have to wait for a response from Palliser before they can take these chairs back or offer us any type of credit. Still waiting.
Palliser Q31 recliner broke in 10 months replacement parts unavalible. parts unavalible
Bought at Nebraska Furniture Mart in January 2021. Chair Broke in November of 2021. NFM claimed discontinued chair. NFM went through all the trouble of offering me $50 off the $1700 price of a similar chair.
Couch very uncomfortable
Couch very uncomfortable. Head cushions overstuffed. Nothing like store model. I thought neck aches were work related. Then friends all started telling me it was my couch. 1.5 yrs so not under warranty. I donât recommend Palliser. Paid a lot of money for body pain.

I wanted to support a Canadian company and they really let you know they are âqualityâ
We donât have kids or pets on the furniture , and the leather appeared to be wearing away and pulling near the seams. I contacted Palliser and get this ⊠their high quality leather couches , well mine anyway isnât even leather. I found this out after contacting customer service, as I was looking for answers and or a way to repair this âleatherâ and the reply was to let me know that it it wasnât leather âŠ. Yeesh I spent a lot of money on lies . Buyers beware.
Poor construction and inadequate warranty.
Firstly, the recliner we purchased was quite comfortable when we sat in it in the store but once home it proved to become quite uncomfortable after an hour or so and got worse the longer you sat in it. Having come off owning La-Z-Boy for many years, we were quite disappointed. We switched to Palliser as we wanted to support Canadian manufacturing. Then the trouble really started.
One of the springs across the back our our recliner pulled out of the frame less than three years after purchase. The chair cost us $2000, more than many of it's competitors. We are in our 70's and do not treat our furniture roughly. We contacted the retailer who told us there was not warranty past the first year and gave us the number of someone to make repairs. We contacted Palliser because the warranty read that there should be some help. Palliser advised that they would pay for parts but labour was up to us. The frame is constructed of fibreboard and the entire piece is damaged beyond repair and has to be replaced. The cost of the fibreboard and fastener couldn't be more than $50 but the labour cost of removing the upholstery, disassembling the frame without causing damage to the other pieces involved, reassembling the frame and reupholstering it is estimated at $500. Once finished, we still have a chair that has proven to be cheaply built using fibreboard which could again rip itself apart. Yesterday we bought a replacement from La-Z-Boy. We will not purchase Palliser again.
Ordered furniture only to have it notâŠ
Ordered furniture only to have it not function as specified. They said they would replace but I have been waiting over 25 weeks now with no ship date yet! Customer service is no help and the store I purchased it from is as frustrated as I am. Don't waste time and money on palliser unless you have lots to waste.
Extremely disappointed
We purchased a Palliser living room set 1.5 years ago. The price was almost $6000. Right from the beginning I found it horribly uncomfortable. About a month after purchasing the mechanism in one of the recliners broke and a service man had to come and fix it. Then after only 1.5 years, the whole arm ripped. When we contacted them I received a message from a Bobby Persaud, Consumers Care Specialist saying that it wasn't under any kind of warranty. It was the coldest message - no apologies just bluntly too bad. Can't help you. It had to be fixed so they sent a gentleman out to replace the fabric on the arm. It cost me $250. We are both seniors and barely use this chair. I will NEVER buy Palliser again. Wish I could go back in time and buy Lazboy. Having had Lazboy in the past there is absolutely no comparison.
Horrible quality
We bought aPalliser sectional six years ago. It was very expensive but we were willing to pay for what we thought would be a quality piece of furniture. The covering was a faux red leather. Within a year, it started to peel and after two years pieces of the faux leather peeled completely off. We contacted Palliser and the store itself and was told that the one-year warrantee was up. So, now the couch is nearly completely peeled off. We have no children or pets and the couch did not get a lot of wear. I cannot express enough my disappointment and resentment. We were definitely ripped off. DO NOT buy Palliser!
Poor Quality of Leather and Customer Service
I bought a Palliser all leather reclining sofa and chair in 1000 grade leather. In less than I year of use by two seniors the leather colour wore off on both items. I contacted Palliser just over a year later when the areas became very unsightly. The leather on the cushions crease dramatically and the seat cushions remain down on favored sides. They want me to pay $750.00 plus delivery (again) to replace the two items. I own another all-leather sectional that shows no signs of colour wear, leather cushion crease or cushion slouch after 11 years of use. Avoid Palliser.

Thought Palliser was a top end furniture company. Ordered all leather sofa/loveseat (not split) at extra cost, waited 3 1/2 months only to have furniture delivered that looked like it was 15 yrs. old. There were 3 inch threads hanging from stitching on pillow arm, almost no padding on seating areas, tops of back cushions look like they're collapsing and nothing like pictured because dealer didn't have this style in stock. After complaining dealer sent repairman to fix loose stitching but said they were unable to add anything to cushions and to call Palliser. The pillowtop cushion has a very small amount of fiberfill wrapped in a piece of fabric that looks like a small 3/4 inch pillow-don't know what's in the back cushions. The only cure was to take cushions to upholstery shop and have high density foam cut and placed in cushions at my expense. NOT acceptable after what I paid for the set Sent Palliser numerous emails with pics-NO RESPONSE. Dealer advised returning the set and looking at other options. One problem-because it was a special order .there is a 33% cancel fee/No refunds. Not only is this going to be MORE costly, Customer support is non-existent. And by the way-this junk was made in Mexico. !
Palliser Leather Sofa sold by Rod Raisor
I bought a leather sofa from Rod Raisor; he doesn't own a furniture store but sells from his house (at least it was his before the divorce). He was no help in what I ordered or chose, etc. The leather in the center seat cushion wore different than the other two. He didn't help and neither did Palliser - they called it "normal wear and tear" but the couch was less than one year old. Poor quality and poorer customer service
Palliser makes poor quality furniture and doesn't care about their customers
Slightly over a year ago, we purchased the Seattle sectional by Palliser at SofasandSectionals.com. The sectional resided in our den and was barely used--maybe four hours a week. Within 11-12 months, one of the seams on the seat of the sofa completely UNRAVELED. I contacted SofasandSectionals, and they said Palliser would fix it. I waited over a month for a "replacement cover" to be sent to my home and then scheduled the tailor/repairman to install it. I noticed that the seams on the replacement cover were DIFFERENT THAN THE ORIGINAL, apparently they had additional seams called "topstitching." The tailor/repairman "wasn't sure" if the seams would disappear into the tufting once he installed the cover (I don't understand how a professional doesn't know this). I told him that it wasn't acceptable for one half of the sectional to look entirely than the other half. He said he could sew up the defective seam, but when he left, he did a worse job than I could have done myself. The sewing was obtrusive, loose, and nonprofessional-looking. In fact, the resewn seam came completely apart within 1-2 weeks. At my request, SofasandSectionals contacted Palliser again and ordered another replacement cover--one that matched the original and didn't have additional topstitching. After waiting more than another month, the second replacement cover arrived and IT WAS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE FIRST ONE AND DIDN'T MATCH. Palliser and SofasandSectionals was contacted again, and I requested that a new cover, with the topstitching, be sent to cover the undamaged half of the sectional, since I had waited so long and now had 2 topstitched covers for the damaged part. They declined and promised that THIS THIRD TIME THEY WOULD MAKE A CORRECT COVER WITHOUT TOPSTITCHING. They also PROMISED that it would ship by March 16 (it didn't). IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 5 MONTHS since I reported the issue, and I STILL DO NOT HAVE A MATCHING REPLACEMENT COVER! The latest excuse I received from Palliser and SofasandSectionals is that the last batch of fabric was inadequate. Really? Of course, I don't believe it, but even if the fabric was substandard, that's not my problem. The companies should have worked internally to ensure there were no issues on this third attempt and stressed to their partners the importance of following through without mistakes. They should have worked to keep their promises, and they should have contacted me in advance of March 16 to say the fabric arrived unusable (if it actually did). In fact, if the companies actually cared, the reps, supervisors, owners, and/or presidents would have invested themselves personally in making sure I had a functional and usable piece of furniture after taking my money. There really is no excuse for mistakes on the 4th and 5th attempts to fix something. There were (and are) so many other solutions to this problem, but they took the easy, lazy, and apathetic path that resulted in no solution! I can't endorse either of these companies; PLEASE PURCHASE ANOTHER BRAND FROM ANOTHER RETAILER so you don't end up like me (with stuffing poking through the seat of an 8" torn seam after one year)!
