I put my car in for a repair on the rear brake pipes and when completed they still leaked. also I was charged three times the price another garage quoted.
I have written an email to your customer relations on the 31st October but as yet no reply.
I am very disappointed with the garage and the service provided. I have used this garage for years but since Protyre took over it has gone downhill rapidly and a lot of people I know say the same and will not use this garage again

The staff were all courteous and very approachable, and made the process very efficient and enjoyable. They were also very amenable.

Friendly reception. Work finished on time. Used them a number of times - always been customer- friendly

Good garage, second MOT done by them and will be coming back again.

Fantastic service as ever, Jack swiftly dealt with a problem I was having due to a the wrong part being replaced at another garage before before I bought the car. Correcting someone else’s mistakes very graciously.

Would thoroughly recommend the guys at Darcy’s Durham they are amazing!

Had to wait an extra 30 min for the MOT to be completed and the mechanic doing the MOT was very bad tempered. Was not given any advice/information about the 2 defects listed on the MOT certificate.

I had an appointment for a repair at 10am and i dropped off my car before that. I was told that they will look into the problem with the brakes and call me to inform me of the options that i had for the repair. By 2:30pm, i had not heard back, so i called, but there was no answer. I finally went there in person at 3:30pm and i was told that my car was ready, as it just needed some cleaning and it only took one hour of labour. I was told that they are short-staffed that's why they could not call me or answer the phone. They also reported that the break on the other side was inspected and cleaned, but can i really take their word for it? As you understand, i was not happy with the customer service and i will very seriously consider taking my car there again in the future.. Too bad, as it used to be a very thorough, friendly and transparent business in the past. You could leave your car and rest assured that they will do their best to help you and give you a good price. This feeling is not there anymore...

Took my daughter's car without a booking for a flat tyre, half an hour later returned with my own car with flat tyre. Staff had a can do attitude and both ready within a couple of hours. Darcy's saved the day! Thank you 😊

Friendly and efficient service without any problems.

Arrived a little early for tyre fitting, which wasn’t a problem for them. They gave me an estimated time and I got a phone call a little before that to say it the car was ready. No issues at all. Had ordered online using their website.

Went in for 4 tyres and a wheel alignment.
Was told I only needed one tyre and couldn’t do the alignment due to an apparent shock absorber leak.
I ordered the incorrect tyres and went to centre about 2 hours later and it said online they had the correct tyres in for my car so I thought I’ll just have them swapped to correct ones which actually turned out a bit cheaper which is the only thing I would say was positive about my experience.
Went to the centre to be told they didn’t actually have them and I’d have to come back.
Was also told that they didn’t know why i was able to book when they were fully booked out, which I felt a bit awkward when they said that.
I wanted 4 tyres so that they would all match
Was told I would get refunded for the 3 tyres that I didn’t get fitted. And I now also require a refund for my alignment that I never got done as I no longer have the car. Still waiting for the refund a week later. Think the refund process needs to be changed as almost a week later to wait for my refund I find hard to believe. Especially when I was told it would be 5 working days.
After this confusing experience I don’t think I will be back.
Was excellent when I last used Protyre Durham for my Megane, but gone downhill since by the looks of things.

I was able to book online for the same day. They said could take up to an hour but they were all done in half an hour.

Easy system to book my car in for a service and MOT, dropped off at 8am got it back by lunch time, great service.

This garage is out of my way but I used to always go here for services and MOT’s due to recommendations. I never had any problems over the years I used them, everything I paid for was always done to the highest of standard and if they recommended anything that’s what it was, a recommendation. No hard sale and left at that. I was even told once to shop around for lower prices!

A garage opened up closer to my home so I gave them a try. Every time I took my car or partners car there was some problem. I’d pay as they were the professionals and I cover a lot of miles a year. Decided to go back to Darcys now protyre and it’s exactly how it used to be. I questioned my brakes due to previously stated from an MOT I had earlier in the year from the other garage. I was told there was nothing wrong with them. Could have easily made a quick buck from me but no. Now that advisory is marked against the car for no reason.

Anyway this is a good, honest professional garage. Car runs smoother than it ever has.

Will never go elsewhere. Prices are fair and you get more than what you pay for
