The staff were friendly, helpful and not pushy.
There was no hard sales, I was able to have a test drive.
On collection of my new car I was given instruction by the sales lady in a very informative way and told I could ring or go back if I required additional help with my car.
I was extremely satisfied with the process of purchasing my new car.

I have just ordered a new Volvo from Riverside, Leeds. Despite being very new on the job (literally just a few days) the salesman I dealt with, Nick, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and professional. I have dealt with two other Volvo dealerships in that previously occupied the same building/lot, and Riverside have, without a doubt, been the best I have dealt with.

Also, their complimentary coffee machine is fantastic :)

Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that there are no issues with delivery (which is out of their hands).

We were guided through the vehicles characteristics and even let our large dog test the boot for access and exit...The purchase process and advice given was excellent.

Sunday 9th November. Arrived to view vehicle which had been previously videoed for me and I was introduced to the wrong vehicle. Never mind - easy mistake.
I had to endure a sales pitch on gap, tyre, damage insurance and paint protection products before I had even decided to buy. Test drive was good. Agreed a price, handover day (Friday), and paid a deposit with caveat that the general vibration at over 60 mph was rectified.
Monday - received email with incorrect documentation to sign and informed them via email at 12:06. No Reply.
Tuesday 14:34. I spoke to another salesman who said he would pass my message on. No Reply.
Wednesday morning 10:22. I again spoke to another salesman who said he would pass my message on. No reply.
On Wednesday afternoon, I asked to speak to the Manager who apologised and said he would transfer to another salesman. We agreed pickup Friday morning. Got a call from replacement salesman at 16:10 to say he was taking over but would be off Thursday! and vibration problem had not been looked at.
Thursday. By 3pm, still not heard from them and car due to be picked up next morning. Called manager and car still not being worked on. Manager called back at 17:30 to say that yes, technicians recognise the vibration problem over 60 mph and will swap the cheap front tyres with the rear quality tyres. If this does not work, they will look to change the wheel bearings. This, on a car that’s only done 14,500 miles? I cancelled the pickup on Friday. Manager said he would call me by 12am Friday.
No call received and at 3pm Friday I had enough and cancelled the order.
Took 8 days, email and 2 calls to get deposit back.
They didn’t seem to have a telephone receptionist. Every time I telephoned, it rang and rang and was often picked up by the wrong department, e.g. service.
I would not consider buying from Riverside Motors Wakefield. I note the good previous reviews but neither James or Craig were involved in this fiasco.
Also a cautionary note to other potential buyers of the XC40. Make sure you test drive includes speed of 70 mph as the vibration is a known issue to owners and Volvo. Just read the XC40 forum.

Another great customer experience from Riverside. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Big shout out to the service team for sorting my second issue out. Faulty TPM tyre valve.
More dealers should be like this. Not just getting sales. Then forgetting about you if you have issues.

I had a great experience at Riverside Volvo Leeds because the Volvo team was very efficient and courteous. I was connected to one person (Drew) who was my single point of contact for the entire purchase. Drew was fantastic! We came all the way from Berkshire to take the car. It was a leap of faith for us to go all the way to Leeds. But Drew arranged videos of the car and had a video call for us to see the car before we planned our journey. He had explained all the paperwork and transaction details upfront so we were well prepared. Once we were in Volvo Leeds, the car was kept ready for us. We had the test drive of the car, completed the paperwork, payments, tax et all in 1 hour and 15 mins! Very impressed! Will be happy to recommend Volvo Leeds.

Although I bought a car remotely, the responsiveness, transparency and helpfulness of the team I dealt with (Amrou and Sharon) made the whole experience very pleasant...and the car is fantastic!

Great professional service and a friendly team who all worked well together.

I have had issues with Riverside after sales dept. in that they often don’t answer the phone and when you are transferred to receptionist they promises to get the service dept to phone you back. Last time they phoned back it took them 4 hrs I was returning their email asking if I wanted additional work carrying out. I had collected my car before the returned my call.

I had a great experience at Riverside Volvo Wakefield because from my very fist call I was treated with respect and attention. James, who I dealt with, is a very pleasant person and experienced professional, as I have been buying first time in the UK he patiently explained a lot of nuances. I would recommend.

Very thorough sales experience. Not push ,just knowledgeable and gave us time to think about options. Good explanation of after sales service.
