Evening Rooftop Spa and DIne -
We have been to Rudding many times, we live close by and see it as an opportunity for a treat. My husband booked this for us (me) as a treat for Mothers Day. We know the facilities and they are amazing. But the staff - goodness me - it was like they were doing us a favour! Upon arrival they were nice, different story in the evening. You try to understand that they must be tired, been on their feet all day but my goodness someone needs to send them on a course in social skills and customer service. In the restaurant there was a particular member of staff that was aloof, again very much the attitude that she was looking down at us. She forgot our drinks but did quickly rectify the problem. Sadly the food wasn’t amazing although it sounded so on the menu, I had monkfish kebabs and they were over seasoned when they arrived. The worst part of the evening was yet to come. We went to check out at the main reception area and the member of staff “Harriet” made an error on our bill, my husband queried it and she gave a ‘gobbledegook’ answer but not once looked up and made eye contact or said, ‘I’m so sorry for your wait / my error / system error’ she could have said anything really to explain but she did not even lift her head. It felt like WE were the problem. I’m retired now from working in retail/service industry for 25 years. These girls need to be swooped up and put on a course in customer service. It feels like this generation need to learn how to interact with their clients more. I will say there was one young girl who was lovely, her name escapes me. She was a woman of colour and she was fabulous. !!

Awful experience after going for their supper and spa package. Was charged for a couples massage that we didn’t even have. It took 15 different calls after being constantly passed on to someone else, constantly being told I would receive a call back, but never would. I would then have to call again just to chase up. I finally got told they were issuing my refund after ‘looking into it’ 15 phone calls later. Was told to wait 5 working days but two weeks later STILL nothing. Rang again today to be told a manager was calling me back and once again NOTHING. I am so appalled. We regularly used to visit this hotel and have spent a lot of money over the years here. No one should have to call and beg for their own money back!

We recently stayed at Rudding Park. Or room was very spacious, well equipped and clean. The facilities at the hotel are great. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna. There is a well equipped gym. The Clocktower restaurant was very enjoyable. The staff were very attentive, helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was well presented and very tasty. Matthew in Customer Relations is a great ambassador for Rudding Park and helped us to resolve a couple of issues. We visited York and Harrogate during our stay and Rudding Park is well located for both. We will visit this great venue again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Brilliant hotel, my daughter loved the Spa and swimming pool. We will come back real soon.

What a positive attitude of staff in the Clocktower bar,lounge,restaurant ! What a tremendous atmosphere ! Nothing was too much trouble

I am absolutely appalled by the service from this company. I sent an enquiry to book for 7 people on Thursday. For both golf and spa, regardless of how much this would cost, or the amount of people, it seems we’d be fobbed off even if it was just 1 person!
I got 1 attempted call at 16:30 the day after, and I missed it due to driving. I called back probably 10 mins later and emailed the booking team back, have I heard anything? No. I’ve called and left voicemails and even commented on their social media to get their attention, to have my comment deleted! What a joke 😂 don’t bother trying to get hold of them just book somewhere else who actually can be bothered to help.

We recently had lunch in the Clocktower restaurant, we needed to make an alteration to the menu, David whom we spoke with was absolutely tremendous, so obliging and our problem was sorted immediately without a fuss. Needless to say the rest of the staff we had the pleasure of dealing with were equally as obliging. Without a doubt a five star recommendation.

My wife and I were recently married at Rudding Park. The experience was exceptional from start to finish. We were very well looked after by their events team in the lead up to the wedding. The food tasting was a great experience as everything is delicious. It makes selecting the menu a lot of fun. The day ran flawlessly without any stress for ourselves. All of the staff at Rudding are courteous and friendly. Not just for us as the bride and groom but a lot of our guests commented how good the staff are. If you're contemplating a wedding here, you can be assured you're in great hands and won't regret it!

Shocking food quality in the cafe and poor cocktails quality on the top terrace - very disappointing indeed!!
I have to say that the spa atmosphere was quite noisy and the spa more like a social events place.

My partner and I booked a last minute getaway to Redding Park Hotel and ask neither of us had been before we didn't know what to expect. We've been places previously that haven't quite matched up to the pictures etc but this wasn't the case this time. The room we had was spacious, clean and well maintained. We had access to our own private patio which was nice and opened up the room further. We didn't plan to visit the rooftop spa but after chatting with the exceptional Aliyah, on the spa reception we ended up going. It was beautiful and the outdoor pool was incredible. The other guests were so friendly as well which isn't always the case. The spa literally has something for everyone and it was the perfect way to spend a couple of hours before dinner.

The staff went out of their way on a number of occasions for us which which made us feel appreciated as guests.

The restaurant had a good range of food and drinks, my partner runs hospitality venues and isn't easy to please but he thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. The cocktails were also great! Our server, Zaky was extremely personable, lots of conversation and huge smiles, he made recommendations with confidence and was on the ball every time.

We are planning to go back and I've already started planning with my girls to go for a weekend. See you soon Rudding Park.

On the 1st of July 2023, my partner and I had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at Rudding Park in Harrogate, and it was an absolute dream come true. The entire experience was flawless, and we cannot thank the staff enough for making our special day truly magical.

From the moment we began planning, Sarah Coughlin and Izzy Matthews from the events team at Rudding Park went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. Their impeccable attention to detail and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction were evident in every interaction we had with them. The communication was clear and concise, leaving us confident that our vision would be brought to life exactly as we had imagined.

During the wedding day, Nikki, our Toastmaster, deserves special recognition for her calm and collected demeanor. She expertly coordinated the proceedings, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and effortlessly. With Nikki's guidance, we were able to relax and fully immerse ourselves in the joy of the celebration, knowing that every aspect was under control.

The pre-wedding meal at the clocktower restaurant was an exceptional experience, thanks to the attentive service provided by Sophie. She catered to every need of our dozen guests, ensuring that each person felt valued and cared for. Her warm and friendly demeanor added a personal touch to the evening, making it an unforgettable part of our wedding journey.

Lastly, we want to express our deepest gratitude to Marek. He is, without a doubt, the epitome of exceptional customer service. Marek's warm welcome and professionalism left a lasting impression on us. His dedication and hard work were evident in every interaction, and his passion for ensuring an unforgettable experience for guests truly shines through. His attentiveness to detail and commitment to going above and beyond exceeded all expectations.

I have had 2 birthday parties at Rudding Park Hotel - my 80th and, more recently, my 87th. In both cases the attention to detail from management and staff was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble and there was always someone there to help or advise. The hotel manager, Nuno, is always around to check and advise and the same helpful aspect runs through all members of his well-trained and dedicated team

My husband and I recently enjoyed an overnight stay at Rudding Park to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Our experience was exceptional in every aspect, but what stood out above the quality of the rooms & the facilities of the spa was the attentiveness & professionalism of the staff. We were greeted outside the main entrance, our luggage was whisked off and car parked for us. Enjoyed a lunch at Horto where the staff were incredibly welcoming and confidently provided recommendations on our food choices and engaged afterwards asking which our favourite dish was etc. The spa staff showed us the facilities & were contacted reception after to take us to our room which was now ready for check in. The whole stay just flowed, the 'handing' over from spa team to reception team was flawless, we were walked to our room advised on our time for dinner. For check out, the check out link was sent via email, it was all just easy and hassle free. We were offered water for our journey home; lots of little touches which collectively resulted in an exceptional stay for us. We'll definitely be back. Thank you

I couldn’t find a single thing to dislike about this place, excellent, friendly ,knowledgeable staff, beautiful hotel, (exceptionally clean)and rooftop spa was a joy. Excellent food in both restaurants with great vegan selection, my go to place now

What a great place to stay, lots of things to do for the kids. Nice pub at reasonable prices. had a fab weekend break away. would love to go back soon. Swimming pool warm and loved by all.

But very disappointed with the lack of communication regarding halal option as was told halal meat would be available and lo and behold nothing but chicken from the tower clock and ended up starving, the manager came in morning and said we will refund you the 42 pound per head and I just thought fine, then we got our refund of 36 pound lol which is a bit insulting and I think he mislead us as he didn’t actually apologise he was trying to justify instead of acknowledging the mess up they had done, shame really
As spa was amazing but that spoilt our stay with the meal and to rub salt into wounds 36 pound refund

Had a fabulous meal last night in the Clock Tower restaurant. Nuno gave impeccable service as did Josh. Did not get any of the other staff names as mainly served by Josh but all were friendly and on hand all the time. Lots of Gluten free options also which is what I required. Thanks Nuno for making our night special.

Full day spa experience

Had an amazing time on our Full Day Spa experience.
We took the Deep Tissue Massage as our treatment and it was absolutly Amazing.

I believe the person that did the massage was called Tatiana and she did such a great job. Will definitely be back.

Only negative i can think of is that in the late afternoon it gets busy in the rooftop spa area and people are starting to be a bit loud.

Rudding Park has it all! Amazing grounds, a beautiful hotel tastefully decorated and furnished, dining rooms that feel intimate, a wonderful spa space with lots of choice for relaxation, a great swimming pool, the most fabulous and truly delicious food - oh yum! - and best of all the best customer service from every member of staff I have experienced in a hotel!!! I have had the best weekend away there and cannot wait to return!!!

Stylish, fantastic facilities be it rooms, service, bars, food, spa or golf. The management and staff are first rate.
