The product when received did not meet my expectation, but Scott's were quick to arrange for collection of the item, and to arrange a refund.
I ordered a table for my mother inâŠ
I ordered a table for my mother in January. A few weeks later, I contacted the company and was told it hadnât arrived from their supplier. I explained that this was a direct purchase and I had not been informed it was on backorder. They then claimed it would arrive in five days, but a month after placing the order, there was still no delivery. They tracking number was sent at point of order, but it appears to be âghost tracking,â as Evri is not expecting the parcel. Despite this, the company continued to repeat that they were waiting for the product. It seems they are taking orders they do not actually have in stock, relying on the hope that the item will eventually arrive from overseas.
Absolutely awful communication
Absolutely awful communication. Ordered on 11th Jan. The only communication received from Scotts was an email confirming the order. Nothing thereafter. Called them on 15th and was told the 2 items were on pre-order, which was NOT indicated on the website or communicated at time of order. Was told that one item would go out on 21st Jan and second on 31st Jan. I requested a refund on delivery charge, which was granted (but not offered). It is now the 28th Jan and still no communication on the despatch of first product. Called again and told that neither product had yet been sent. Was told by the call handler, Ryan, that Scottâs donât send emails out to inform customers of delays in orders. I have asked for a full refund which should be with me within 5 working days! Weâll wait and see! Really poor service from a UK independent business. Must do better to compete with large multinationals guys. Iâll continue to buy UK independents where possible, but not from Scottâs Iâm afraid.
Just rude and no compassion for loss
My mother was a loyal customer of this company and passed away 7 months ago at age 90. I advised the company by phone and returned regularly their catalogues asking not to send as my mother was dead. Had to phone again today and spoke to an Indian man who didn't even have the decency to give his condolences. He said it would take 6 months to come off the system and didnât even say goodbye just hung up. Train your staff to be pilot and decent especially where loss is involved! Just rude!

Can't remember last time I ordered something from Scotts of Stow, but my negative customer experience is related to their continual posting me their marketing brochure after phoning them at least 4 times to request they stop. Have just received another and so feel the only way they will listen to customer requests is by receiving not great reviews.
Disgraceful
Very disappointed with this Company, placed an order with them on the 16th December, then today I get refund and they tell me my order had been cancelled with no explanation whatsoever, so definitely will not be ordering from them again!!

Scotts use Evri a 1 star company!
The process within Scotts worked well. They use Evri as there delivery company which is a 1 star company. I'm still waiting for the delivery to be made, Evri have had the parcel for more than a week, why, incompetence comes to mind. I won't use Scotts again while they use Evri.

Privacy Policy Breaches
I have been trying to get Scotts of Stow to remove my deceased mother from their mailing list, but once again a mailshot from one of their companies has landed in our letter box. I have phoned multiple times, emailed multiple times all to no avail. I am now collating information to submit a breach notice to the ICO.
Efficient and Friendly
Jeffrey was efficient and friendly, even when I had written down the wrong code! Ordering was quick and easy and I am looking forward to receiving the items ordered. I'm a bit disappointed that the decorated prelit tree was not available, but it happens.
Significantly overpriced
Looking to order Scots of Stow metal hallway stand (product number 3250538) on behalf of an elderly relative.
So glad I shopped around as at £69.00 plus delivery of £6.95 the Scots of Stow price is over double that which I have just paid Debenhams for exactly the same product with free delivery.
Disincentive to purchase towel softener liquid
I have used the towel softener liquid for many years and find it very effective and would ideally recommend it to others. However, it has been discontinued from stock in the shop where I was accustomed to purchase several bottles at a time. Now it has been increased in price and is only available at an excessive delivery charge.
A very negative experience.
A very negative experience this time. I ordered two items and was informed they would arrive separately - no problem and one item came. Had e-mail to say the second one - a rug, was dispatched to Evri for delivery on July 18th. Tracked it and Evri have never received it. Chased it by e-mail, received one back to say someone would be in touch in 48 hours - they weren't. Then another to say it would be here by July 31st. Rang to see what was happening, was told one would be dispatched on September 1st - so where was the one that was supposedly on it's way? Why lie and say it is on the way in the first place? Just say it's out of stock and be done with! Have now received an e-mail to say my goods have been returned(where from?) and I will be refunded - in a few days? I think my money has been in their account long enough, so why a few days? Bank transfers can be done pretty quickly these days. Not impressed and although I'm not a new customer with Scotts, I won't be buying again - the communication has be terrible. I used to work in retail, so I have given the benefit of the doubt probably much longer than some would!
