Very professional company who are excellent at what they do
Very happy with their service

Very expensive company, got charged over £400 for changing an hood exhaust. as they work time & material - it is really unpredictable how much you are going to have to pay for fitting an appliance. the hourly rate of £150 is extortionate.

Brian turned up on time, assessed the situation, got stuck in and we had a new double socket, complete with RCDs, in just over an hour. He even cleaned up and removed all the refuse he created.

Mark turned up in the allotted time slot was friendly highly professional and clear in his explanations. I would recommend SES if you want your electrical problems sorted

SES were very professional and thorough. We had a complex fault but they were determined to find the cause to ensure the problem could be fully resolved which they did. They kept me updated throughout the work.

Matthew was fantastic at tracking down the fault in our system - no mean feat as it involved a floorboard nailed down through circuit wiring - and making it safe and up to spec. He and Sam also attended to all the other bits and pieces that needed doing, replacing/adding sockets, heat/fire alarms etc. Methodical, thorough and very personable as well!

I needed an electrical contractor to correct an installation fault to a cable going into my circuit board. I found this company on TrustaTrader, made contact,explained problem. I was given quotation and appointment. The engineer arrived exactly on time, got right to work, corrected what he came to do,efficiently. He informed me of another fault, explained that he needed to report the new finding to the area Electricity board (SSEN). He made his report, updated me, sent me his work report. This is a first class company and I am happy to recommend them to my family and friends. Worth every penny, I have total peace of mind.

Great communication between us and our tenants to arrange convenient days and times to complete the EICR. They have given us an in-depth report on the work that needs to be done with competitive rates and very accommodating in fitting in with opening hours for our tenants. Certainly will be using them in the future.

very quick to respond and attend the property in order to fix the issues raised. Unfortunately they were not able to get the lighting at the property working properly despite repeated visits to the property.
26/10/2023 You returned to the property at least 2 times after the original work and could not get the lights to work properly, that is why my client didn't want you to further attend the property and an alternative electrician was instructed who got the lights working as required the first time and there have been no issues since.

Ryan arrived on time within the scheduled timing slot that we was given and got right stuck into it. He was able to investigate and identify the issue immediately. We had a fault with suspected water in our wires causing a short and found SES on checkatrade. Their man Scott came around and did an excellent, thorough job diagnosing and explaining the problem and giving us several options for how to deal with it. Would absolutely use SES again (and am just about to get them in for some follow up work!)

As a new homeowner of a very old property I wasn't sure what to expect when doing an EICR check, I had never done one before. The guy who came out (I didn't catch his name unfortunately) was polite and professional, and explained his findings in a way that left me very clear on what was working well and where work was needed. He has happy to answer any questions I had and never made me feel rushed. Great sevice!

-The quality of the work was initially poor, but SES did send another electrician to put the jobs right.
-Charges are extremely high at £120 per hour for one electrician. Checkatrade suggest hourly rates of London electrician at £60 per hour.
-SES's mark-up on materials is 20 to 25% which is considerably above average rates.
-Immediate payment is very strongly requested by SES, rather than giving 28 days to pay, and in the Company Director's (Byron Sanders) words quoted from his email, "this avoids this constant back and forth and any queries can be answered on the day." This is rather telling!
-SES's billing does not show the full cost of the job as they refuse to include the £150 callout fee in the full invoice, so the full cost of the job is not clear.

Good communication before the visit, punctual, thorough, very pleasant and did the job.

Very swift response to my email requesting three jobs: install new control unit for underfloor heating, change old three gang two way dimmer switch for a newer unit and change a miniature circuit breaker for the correct rating for my greenhouse lighting. The technician came mid afternoon on a Friday and completed all three tasks within an hour for their standard charge (then £100 plus VAT). He was polite and very professional and certainly did not suffer any Friday afternoon issues. Came with shoe covers and respected the house. I will definitely use this company again and can recommend without any reservations.

I've been using SES off and on for many years. They always turn up on time, do good work, very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend them for electrical works.

SES were very professional. There turned out to be a problem that required a part to be ordered, but two days later this arrived and the electrician (the very friendly and capable Ryan) turned up on time and completed the work. Recommended.
