Tried to book it and they said the next slot wasn't for over a year. My vouchers have now expired. What a waste of £500.

Virgin Voucher holders appear to be at the back of the queue when trying to book a Silverstone Drive experience.. I totally agree with previous reviewers.. Getting any response from the Booking team has been one of the biggest frustrations I have ever experienced.. Eventually after several months and countless e mails I was given a date in October for a Formula Single Seater experience.. I never received the promised confirmation or joining instructions and on turning up this morning with my grandson at the circuit, I was not surprised to find our names were not on the list!!!!
Luckily I was able to provide sufficient evidence of my entitlement to the experience and the signing on staff were able to fit my grandson in for his long awaited 21st birthday present…Had been trying to book this experience for 8 months… Unbelievable !!!!
By the way, all the Event Staff were great on the day and the experience itself brilliant..
As others have said dreadfull
As others have said dreadfull. Passing off by dishonest business. They rename experiences and then refused to honour valid vouchers. It is a shame to say but not worth the headache.
Disgraceful Customer Service
I am so disappointed with the way Silverstone seem to have NO customer service and clearly don't care about customers. My partner booked me a Virgin Experience Day at Silverstone for the Single Seater cars. It's a £250 experience. I created an account on the Silverstone website as requested and added in the voucher code etc. You come to a form that asks you to select a month and are then told they will be in touch to confirm a date.
I did this in June 2022 and heard nothing for a month. There is no telephone number so I contacted them again by their contact form. After another two months of hearing nothing (September 2022) I decided to try and contact Virgin Experiences. They also have no customer service team and it was only someone managing their Twitter account who helped me. It turns out Silverstone are busy and they suggested I book another experience day. They would never have said that if they hadn't had this issue previously.
I can't believe Silverstone are so unprofessional. Every customer whether coming through Virgin or direct should be treated with better service.
I would suggest Virgin drop Silverstone from their list if they are treated like this too.
Half a circuit..
We enjoyed just getting access to Silverstone, and very excitingt o park beside and walk around inside The Blade.
Check in was uneventful, the briefing was professional and the instructor was good.
Driving on Silverstone was great, but...Silverstone is 5.89km, I booked 3 laps...
If they only run 1/2 of the circuit, you only get one half of the value.
Nothing n the description says it s half of a circuit, but cunningly nothing says it's a full circuit either.
If you are excited to drive half of Silverstone...that is what you're booking..
Very Poor Slow Response
I was given a VirginExperience voucher and was truly looking forward to a day out at Silverstone.
I duly signed up, checked availablity and completed the form with my two dates to be told a member of the team would confirm shortly.
Shortly turned into longly so I asked if they'd had my request; yes looking at it.
Then I got a form to fill in asking for my preffered dates. I checked availabilty, filled in the form with the same days and times as the first form and was told they'd process my booking as soon as possible.
Time went by and nothing ....... so I chased again.
6 weeks after first completing the form I got a reply that my two dates were gone (except an 8am slot!)
What took 6 weeks?
The worst thing is that there's no way to contact Silverstone apart from email. If they don't reply, which they seem not to, there's absolutley nothing you can do :-(
Horrible Customer Service/Booking
Cannot speak for the experience itself since I am still trying to get this booked.
My partner offered me a Virgin voucher for the experience and I have tried to get this booked.
The booking process is horrible since it does not take into account any request, you see the date on the website and send out the form, meaning the availability you see is not updated, which was exactly what I was told.
You get no email address nor contact number, after several attempts I finally got an email stating they were looking into the booking request. After several pushes (2 weeks) stating I had made travel and night accommodations and that I needed a confirmation I was told they had a lot of requests and that the date was unavailable (which at the booking time was available on the website) and requested to send another date.
I have sent another date and still have no response, its a horrible customer service.
The experience is not cheap and I would expect a better booking service or at least a better customer service.
If you do not have yet a voucher I would recommend trying the Mercedes although not the same the booking is much better.
Also you can see all bad reviews are regarding the booking/customer service so that means they are aware but just don't care to provide a better service.
I will update once/if I am actually able to book this but for speaking until now this definitely I would recommend caution if you are purchasing the voucher since you may have a bad time trying to book this.
Still feeling the adrenaline rush couple days later..
Tell your friends that this is the best supercar driving experience by far.. Who needs a Ferrari when you get Simon, the best instructor with you in the Aston Martin.

Awful - no response and no way of making contact about a problem!
Have been trying to book using a gift voucher code which is in date but not being accepted. Used the web form to make contact to query this ten days ago without a response. Tried to phone - but no way of speaking to anyone.
2nd visit post Covid
Second visit,improved tremendously since 2019 when I first went. The addition of the interactive lap is great. Lots to appeal to both young and old ( like me) petrolheads.
Possibly needs more strategically places seats for us old ones to rest on the way round.

Had a great day out , been waiting over 2 years to do the Head to Head experience, all the staff and instructors were great ,I have a few mobility problems , so would like to thank Nick especially for his help during my experience. Highly recommend this experience
F***ing Awesome
I had this experience bought for my 70th birthday and believe me it was a day to remember. The first great news was the replacement of the BMW M2 for a Mclaren.
We were called through for the briefing and to be honest that's when the reality strikes. Within a few minutes I am going to drive three fabulous supercars around a large amount of the Silverstone F1 Grand Prix Circuit.
I was introduced to my instructor Matt who was going to drive the first two demonstration laps in the Mclaren and believe me it was mind blowing. I thought that there was no way I could get anywhere near that experience. My time to drive and the Mclaren was out of this world. The gear change was amazing and Matt's instruction was extremely encouraging helping me to drive much faster than I thought I would ever achieve. Followed by a debrief of where I could improve.
Second drive on the Ferrari F430. This was a different vehicle altogether. Although not very different on speed it felt very old tech compared to the Mclaren but the debrief worked and much improvement on speed and line were achieved. Another debrief and more tips on how to improve after the three laps led to the Aston Martin Vantage.
Again a very different beast being left hand drive compared to the other two. 3ft difference in seating position made a huge difference but the speed was quicker as confidence in the car, the lines and in Matt were brilliant.
Overall this was an amazing experience and as I didn't pay for it fantastic in all respects.
I only wish that I'd had thirty laps in each car instead of 3.
Will I do it again? In a heartbeat YES and again and again.
See you again soon Silverstone.

Today I bought a Silverstone driving experience voucher for my husband's birthday this year, paying on Paypal as F1 is his sport. Before I logged into my account I couldn't remember my password so asked for a password reset three times, no emails. Eventually, I remembered the password and logged in. I got a notification from Paypal, but nothing from the Silverstone site. The order says deivery is supposed to be an e-ticket. No e-ticket. When does it arrive?! I've emailed customer services AND the finance department at Silverstone, messaged on Twitter and Facebook. No response yet.
The lack of emails to me suggests a fault with their site server.
After reading the reviews here I now believe I've made a huge mistake and although it's only one day I can see me going to Paypal to open a dispute and will make a very snotty complaint on the feedback email if I don't hear anything after two weeks. This is for a gift, but no one can afford to lose that sort of money these days!

Ian the instructor was a real gent and looked after me as I bungled my way round the track in a ridiculously powerful Aston Martin. Great fun was had and will be booking again .10/10.

My first ever time at Silverstone was one to remember.
My brothers purchased the super car experience for my my birthday. This includes driving 3 laps on each supercar.
The driver briefing gave loads of tips and knowledge on the track. I was also lucky enough for my dad and brothers to join both the briefing, as well as being down in the pit lane for the entire experience, which made it even more personal.
Once out, I was introduced to Callum who took me on the test lap on the Mclaren. From then on, he gave loads for really helpful tips throughout the experience and showed me after the first laps, what to work on.
Couldn’t get around how fast you get to go, especially on the straights, zero restrictions on the speed (within reason)
Could not express how good this experience is!!
Highly recommended and will be recommending this to all.
I also wondered if they offered corporate days for companies, could be great experience.

I purchased gift tickets for Christmas
I purchased gift tickets for Christmas. I received an automated confirmation email saying that the tickets will be sent in a separate email; this email never came. Not in junk or anywhere. Contacted Silverstone Musuem 5 times by email now and had no response. There is no way to call, unbelievably terrible service.
Extremely slow to respond and sort things
Absolutely impossible to get in touch with. I’ve been trying to re-book a driving experience since last year and still haven’t been able to! Extremely slow customer service and take forever to respond (over 2 weeks between each email - when they do respond they are very friendly but having to wait so long for any response is a bit of a joke). At the stage now where I’m ready to get my money back…. But it’s such a challenge to talk to anyone I don’t even know if this will be possible…

Very interesting about the history. (especially the war and it being an airfield).
Would reccomend to anyone looking for a day out who has an interest in motorsport.
