I bought the Ferrari experience as a gift for my husband and it was perfect from start to finish. Every member of staff from the wardens in the car parking areas to the staff in the Museum (we visited the museum before the drive) were friendly, helpful and welcoming. James (the instructor that was guiding the drive) was brilliant and made the experience even better for my husband.
The Covid situation is well managed with plenty of disinfecting of equipment and car interiors etc between each person driving.
I cannot recommend this experience enough, I can only maybe recommend booking directly through the Silverstone experience website as it seems to be more problematic when involving a 3rd party (judging by other reviews)

Reading the reviews I can now see it’s not just me that has had the same issue.
I bought this experience along with a hotel stay with virgin experience. The hotel only had dates on the month I am due to give birth, for this reason I emailed silver stone asking for them to cancel my booking as I will be requesting a refund from virgin experience.
They responded saying no problem they will ‘hold on’ to my tickets for me. Little did I know that this was the catch and I am unable to receive a refund until they cancel the booking all together.
I have now been trying to contact them and getting absolutely nowhere with one response basically saying it’s not our problem speak to virgin.
I am heavily pregnant and just wanted a nice weekend away before our baby arrives.
Instead I’m left feeling stressed out and disgusted.

Just before second lockdown I bought driving experience to my partner as I know how much he enjoys it . I was so happy and planed everything around this and visiting the museum . Obviously it got canceled due to lockdown and that is understandable . When I tried to rebook it after the second lockdown I had to wait for email response back about 2-3 weeks so that took ages just to have general conversation. Eventually I was told I have already claimed my experience and I had to go back to virgin experience days . I was absolutely shocked I tried to explain that how could have I claimed it as it was national lockdown ? No reply , sent them all the emails they sent to me with cancellation information due lockdown - still no reply . Eventually I went back to virgin experience days and they said they can’t help as Silverstone have to deal with this . I have sent them email after email and have not heard anything back in nearly a month ! Tried to call but calls don’t go through as automated message just says you can find all on our website ! Well no I can’t !
I’m absolutely disgusted by the service they have and that I have basically wasted my money . As clearly I have “ claimed “ my experience over second lockdown when all the venues were closed . I wonder how I managed to do that ?
Please stay away if you don’t want to throw away your money .

Please don’t be put off by the negative reviews. My husband and I had a fantastic day at the Silverstone Experience. I would suggest that you do need to have an interest in motorsport to really appreciate it, but it is a fascinating exhibition anyway and I learnt some new things about the war years from the part dealing with Silverstone as an airfield. I cannot praise the staff enough, without exception everyone we met was as friendly and accommodating as was possible. Will definitely go back there.
We really enjoyed our visit
We really enjoyed our visit, two adults and an 8 year old. Lots to look at and to read about. I really enjoyed looking at the cars and how they have changed over the years. Helpful staff. Great twist at the end, would recommend if you enjoy F1 and the history of it.
Silverstone…disaster and redefining Customer Services
Booked a birthday treat at Silverstone for May 2020. Of course, I understand that they had to cancel because of Covid-19. I have been locked into a pointless battle with their Customer DSertvice Manager Louise Broomhall ever since. She told me to re-book, but the circuit is closed! I have asked for my money back, and she has said they are not refusing to refund me - but I can't have my money back! Her logic is extraordinary. The British Government restrictions do not allow me to sit in a vehicle next to another driver and Silverstone can not apply the 2 m distancing rule. Nor can they apply a 1 m distancing rule if this restriction is eased. I emailed a letter to the MD Stuart Pringle asking for a refund. Louise Broomhall has refused to pass it on to him, telling me that it will be great for me to have a birthday treat to look forward to. Really Silverstone - I would like my money back please. Is that really too much to ask? You can't legally provide the service that you have taken my money for. You cancelled it - I didn't. Why won't you let the MD see my letter and please let me (and other readers) know why you don't think I can have a refund. BIrthday treat? You have already ruined it - not because of Covid-19, but because of your attitude. You should be ashamed. We all have bills to pay.
The Experience could not have been worse
The Experience could not have been worse. Booked tickets on line, giving all contact information requested. Having driven from London we were told that for a reason that need not be believed, as we were subsequently given another, perhaps spurious reason, we were not given access. We remain out of pocket, having contacted them in various ways. There would appear to be a breach of contract. It would have been at least tolerable if we had been contacted by phone, SMS or email in order to avoid pointlessly driving for hours.
A complete and utter waste of money
A complete and utter waste of money, even the photos were poor, the ones we took on our iPad were much better. We took our grandson who is 10 he got fed up with all the reading bumf.
Doesn't worth the visit
Not that great.
It's a poor display of racing items for such an important place. Not having a single item in display of the best of all times (Ayrton Senna) is very disappointing. And the worst is near the end the selection of drivers to represent F1 greatest is a complete joke... No Ayrton Senna, no Giles Villeneuve, no Juan M. Fangio, no Sir Stirling Moss...
Everything is overpriced and there's a big misleading publicity about the photos. I've bought the 2x £20 pack for 2 printed photos (£40 for 4 prints) in order to have online access to all the other photos. Only to find out at the website that I've only got access to the same 4 photos I've bought... Very misleading and very expensive for really low photo quality (taken by unexperienced people without the minimum knowledge of photography).
If you are in the area and if you really don't have nothing better to do... I still think you can find something better to do than waste your money here.
Brought 2 gift tickets for Christmas…
Brought 2 gift tickets for Christmas presents and they are just tickets sent in a plain white envelope. Previous ones I have purchased came in a nice gift envelope noting the experience and looked really lovely.
When I rang they have ‘ran out and no idea if they will be in before Xmas but it’s doubtful’
Really should have stocked up for your first Xmas open no? Disappointed as they look pretty lame without the gift envelope to give as a gift and no notes anywhere to say that there would not be one included due to them running out!
Great afternoon out
Great afternoon out. Lots to do and see for all ages (7, 43 & 51) A few wow moments and a nice surprise at the end to finish it off. The ability to come in and out as you wish was a good thing too. Great value exhibition. Oh and the members of "crew" working there were also really helpful and friendly throughout! Cafe was well stocked and not too expensive. Happy family!
A Great Afternoon out.
Just got back from an all afternoon visit to The Silverstone-Experience. From the history of the site through to the present day Grand Prix Races, vehicle production and race protective clothes are all brought to life and presented in a most informative and interesting way. There are numerous hands on and visual exhibits to keep all age goups going before you get near to any of the Grand Prix cars together with motor-cycles and Race gear from World Champions past and present on two and four wheels. The Race Experience at the end was unexpected and a great way to end the visit, oh and the cafe' is just the job for a spot of lunch first. Well stocked shop as you leave for a treat.
