Deniston office. Terrible experience, don't answer phone, don't reply to messages, put a offer in for a flat, told they would speak to seller and get back, nothing, called them again next day, seller doesn't live here was their excuse. Then next day called again bizzarley slater hogg Deniston dont tell our clients verbal offers!!! When I sold my house buyer called estate agent that I employed made a verbal offer I accepted then buyer followed that up with solicitors offer next day. I definitely would not use or recommend that estate agents!!!

We recently let our property. Alexsandra Tucker made the whole process stress free and a delight to work with. She was extremely professional, has an engaging personality and paid attention to detail. She was on top of her brief and answered all of our questions at each stage of the process. No hestitation in commending Alexsandra and the team at the West End Branch to new clients.

My terrible experience as a potential buyer of one of their properties has made me vow never to use them or any other Countrywide estate agent to sell my property. Avoid Slater Hogg & Howison Hamilton!!

They were excellent in the past, but this time the mortgage review process felt hurried and disinterested.

We put my mums house on the market after she passed away. I have to say the whole process was made easier by choosing Slater Hogg in Largs to sell our property. Caitlin proved to be professional and went above and beyond to sell what was a challenging property. She worked her socks off and found the right person for the house. Communication was excellent throughout. Very happy with the outcome.

I moved pre lockdown from Milton Keynes to Glasgow, and just recently purchased my first property! Have to say the service from the team (Hamilton) was fantastic from start to finish, praise in particular to Gemma McBride and Cara McNally who understood this is my first purchase and helped with the Scottish process. Pleased with the service and professional support!

Slater Hogg proved to be unequipped to sell houses and showed their lack of experience and professionalism from the very start when their proposed 'photographs' turned out to look like random holiday snaps with absolutely no eye for attracting buyers. Their property 'narrative' was also apparently written by a semi-literate intern. Subsequent experience going forward with the 'offers' scenario actually got worse when they seemed to want to pressurise the seller to accept a below-market value offer. Since moving to the much more professional and capable Corum agents, the property sold within weeks for £45k more than the offer Slater Hogg tried to strong-arm the seller into accepting. This was a 20% increase. Avoid Slater Hogg. Rude, unprofessional and incapable as are their owning company Countrywide.

If I was selling my house and the manager of Slater Hogg and Howison treated my buyer the way I have been treated, I would terminate my contract with them. Deliberately obstructive, Condescending and ignorant of UK legislation.

Condescending middle aged women who seem to believe working at an estate agents is on a par with being the CEO of a ftse 100.

I have received impeccable service from Susanne (Shawlands branch) for several years. She is friendly, pleasant and very accommodating. We really appreciate all her hard work she has put in for us over the years and will continue to only seek her for any mortgage related issues as we can put our trust in her.

Horrible horrible horrible company to deal with. Sold our property through the candleriggs branch in Glasgow, done absolutely nothing to sell the flat & took big commission. When we complained the branch manger was rude & completely unapologetic. Honestly do not use this company to sell your property they do not care, customer service is non existent!!!!!

As a first time buyer with very little knowledge of how the processes worked, I couldn't recommend Susanne Mclaughlan from Slater Hogg Mortgages enough. She was incredibly helpful in explaining in simple terms how mortgages, purchasing and the various legal elements all worked. And in the end she helped secure me a great mortgage and worked very quickly to meet deadlines we faced from other parties. Really appreciate the excellent service and I've already encouraged other friends that are looking to buy a house, to get in touch with them!

Really terrible service if you dont want to market my property dont waste my time coming out to sit in my living room and tell me you dont market properties in my areas becasue its not worth your while.

Cancelled twice and third time lucky they came out to do the free valuation. Just had a valuation done and will not be using. Felt that he looked down nose at everything in property, which is actually done to a high standard, it just needs a few finishing touches before going on market. These finishing touches needed were the only things that received any comment at all. Very negative. Made to feel embarrassed. No information given on how to move forward, e.g. how much they charge etc. Clearly the property isnt high enough value for them.

Awful company. Never use!!!!!!! I used them to let my property and never again. So rude, terrible communication. I gave them three sets of keys and they lost a set and say they have no record and asking me for evidence. No I don't have evidence of handing over a set of keys in person. Ridiculous.
Never again. They never even apologised for their mistakes.

Worst company ever do not use and they trade as two companies countrywide are them also. Get you to sign paperwork bill you for complete different thing with extra charges mislead you to it. Don’t go with them use someone else these been biggest regret I made never will again

Awful from start to finish. Arranged to view a property, arrived and waited but no one showed up. Called the office and was told that someone was off sick and that’s why I’d been stood up. Was asked to wait whilst their branch manager Pam drove up to do the viewing. She arrived and immediately started to explain why I was lucky she was there since she’d hurt her back.
She then went on to describe the property as needing decorating and a new kitchen. But joy of joys there’s a brand new flat packed gloss white kitchen in the shed waiting to be fitted she says.
I wasn’t allowed to go into the sheds and so took her word for it.
They listed the house as having a driveway but the opening is 1.2meters wide and so the property doesn’t have a drive, I can get access as long as my neighbour doesn’t build a gate in her front garden. This is a massive breach of CPRs and would constitute a misdescription case.
They have sold me a piece of land that doesn’t belong to me, what the hell do I do now??
When I took ownership I opened the shed to take out my new kitchen only to find that it’s a second hand filthy, and I do mean filthy with other peoples cooking grease and mould, collection of used and broken cabinets and a couple of lengths of worktop. To top it all off it had been left out in the rain at some point and the edges are blown. Bloody useless and has cost me £5k to rectify.
I asked them repeatedly for information about the kitchen throughout and they refused to provide it. Richard was rude, patronising and difficult. Pam was no where to be seen. Olga was pleasant to speak to. I would not want to buy from them again, what a horrible place. They also put a mega press on for me to speak to their mortgage advisor who apparently charges £600 which is ridiculous when first mortgage up the road are free to use.
