Avoid by all means …. May re-brand but service still poor as before
Purchased a car from Sytner Select Northampton and reported multiple faults within 2 days of collection, including an incorrectly fitted rain sensor, incorrectly fitted wing mirror, faulty powered boot caused by a damaged wire, sticking seat mechanism, and concerns about the service history and brakes. Sytner later admitted these faults existed after inspecting the vehicle.
Despite repeated requests for help, my emails were ignored, promised callbacks never happened, and no courtesy car was provided. I exercised my legal right to reject the vehicle within 30 days, but Sytner refused.
The biggest impact has been on my relative, a Community Nurse, who has been left without a car to travel between patients while this dispute continues.
Very disappointing customer service, poor vehicle preparation, and a stressful experience from start to finish.
CarShop had built a poor reputation with many customers, so it’s hard not to wonder whether the rebrand to Sytner Select was an attempt to distance itself from that reputation rather than address the underlying customer service issues.
I would avoid because they are cowboy traders and don’t even follow the trading standards or the law.
They will comment under customers reviews saying “We sincerely apologise for the disappointing experience you have described. This is certainly not the standard of service we aim to provide.” Still same standards as when they were carshop nothing has changed. People work hard to purchase the cars last thing one needs is a faulty and dangerous car.

Still waiting for my electric payment…
Still waiting for my electric payment to be refunded as car wasn’t cleaned and barely any charge in it as they forgot to put it on charge and clean before our collection so had to wait for the clean then wait 2 hours at a near by fast charge for it to charge before we had enough electric to take it home. Still haven’t had the service through for my car either which was promised over a week ago now. Now being ignored on email. Person who forgot to action the clean and charge was Colin. He was the one who we paid the car transfer too and who initially organised it. Poor from the head of sales.

Great service & experience!!! We have been dealing with Bradley for the last three weeks and, he has been very very helpful especially with what car we need and the various cars and models. The wife finally made up her mind and Bradley was so helpful.
I would recommend using this company especially Bradley.

The worst car buying/ownership…
The worst car buying/ownership experience ive ever had, found what i thought to be a good deal on a 19 plate Land Rover discovery sport with 47 thousand miles. Paid for the car in full, collected it an drove it home, the very same night it had a engine management light come on. I was covered under 3 month warranty so was advised to find a VAT registered garage to diagnose, turned out to be a DPF/EGR fault. Was then asked by sytner to get an estimate done, which I did. Work was carried out to fix the fault, sytner stated 3-5 days before the work was paid for to the garage. 13 working days later this still hadn't been paid out. I had the garage questioning me an on my case for the amount which I had to consistently chase sytner for, then eventually made payment. 2 days after having the car back from the first fault, another fault occurred, humming from the back when turning left and right. I then phoned sytner again, they very reluctantly after 3 days of phoning an basically begging them, agreed to take it to my local land rover dealership. Where it stayed for 2 weeks, turned out to be a driveline fault, to do with the rear differential! Sytner we're very slow to deal with this fault, i chased land rover to find out what was going on, land rover then sent me a health report on the vehicle stating the brake pads on the front were om the verge of being dangerous, 2mm of depth. The car had done not even 150 miles of use. Even though it states on sytner select website they dont sell a car without atleast 4mm of brake pad depth. I then spent another 3 days arguing with aftersales they had sold me a car that was misadvertised. Out of 28 days owning this vehicle we got 4 days use from it. This car was for my pregnant partner with whom I have 3 kids with. I'd paid insurance on this car, tax. As we all do. Then find myself paying for ubers for my family to commute to school etc. After begging sytner they very reluctantly accepted my right to return. This is by far, the worst car buying/ownership experience of my entire life. I will make sure every single person I come across i will warn them against ever using this company. I will never even entertain looking at a vehicle that's had anything to do with them. For the love of God if you want to keep your sanity please avoid.
