A debit went off from this company and I did not sign up or give any authorisation. How did this company get my banking details.

We are an Australian company who sell computers and do not sell outside of Australia, we can also only take payment via our website's checkout page if you purchase something and input card details and then it would have to be in Australian dollars. Even if you were in Australia we are not able to just debit someone's account without permission.

We have been contacted by several hundred people from SA over the last few months, all of whom appear to the be the victim of the same debit order scam. I’d recommend contacting your bank and requesting they refund you as you had not approved the payment.

We would also kindly request you retract this review as it is meant for another company and the review is having a negative impact on our business. We and the SA authorities have also been provided with the details of the actual company carrying out the fraud by a helpful victim, we will gladly share this info with you if you make contact with us via our support@techtide.com.au email address.

South African debit order issue

I am a south african with the same issue of debit orders HOWEVER i reached out ro this company via email and they immediately cleared up that it couldn't have been them as they only accept Australian cards and currency and they are also suffering at the hands of these scammers in south africa using their name. Let's not just post bad reviews without so much as reaching out. We are running their business into the ground bc of scammers in our own country.

Hi Jessica, thank you so much for taking the time to write this review, it is very kind of you to try and help recover our reputation currently being tarnished by fraudsters in South Africa using the name Techtide to carry out their scam.

We have been receiving hundreds of emails from South Africans towards the end of each month accusing us of debiting funds from their accounts. We have advised each and every person that they have the wrong company as we are an IT equipment hardware provider based in Sydney who sell solely in Australia.

Hopefully your kind review helps others who may head on to Trustpilot and leave a negative review without first confirming if we are the right company in the first place.

Have a wonderful day and best of luck with the bank in securing a refund and getting these fraudsters shut down.

Illegally debiting my bank account

Illegally debiting my bank account, I never heard of your site until my account was debited, never submitted my personal banking details either. Scammers😡

I paid after checking the product was…

I paid after checking the product was avail and was informed it coild not be sent so I have not received the order and have been advised it will be late Feb
Ask again after we receive the computer lap top

Hi Judith, apologies for the error, our system advised we had one left in the warehouse but the volume had been logged incorrectly and we had in fact sold out. We advised you of this as soon as we identified the issue and you were willing to wait until new stock arrived. I'm pleased to advise that the day new stock was received we sent one out to you via courier. Apologies once again for the inconvenience, I'm glad it all worked out in the end.

IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL..

I ordered an laptop and AFTER 10 DAYS I was sent an email telling me that the item I ordered was out out of stock and they will refund... like it's nothing. Now I completely missed the opportunity to take advantage of the year end sales season and forced to purchase a laptop at full price. At the very least they could have offered an alternative if they feel any responsibility for their false advertisement. Incredibly irresponsible and unprofessional service. The worst online purchasing experience I've ever had. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Hi Keigo, I'm very sorry we were unable to fulfil your order. Our offices were closed over the Christmas & NY period when you placed the order and it wasn't until we were back in the office that we noticed that stock had been exhausted for the model you ordered and you had inadvertently placed a back order. Sadly with no new stock arriving and no other devices being available close to your price point we were left with no option but to advise you and then cancel your order. Hopefully you managed to locate a suitable device elsewhere. We are very sorry to have let you down this time.

For anyone reading this 'Matthew' placed an order with us using a stolen credit card. Our fraud checks detected this and we quickly cancelled the order and processed a refund back to the stolen card. I've never known a fraudster to then leave a negative review for being caught out but there's a first for everything!
