Wrong price on sale items. Sale assistant took offence when I tried to point this out and moreorless waved me out the shop. No apology at all from them. Disgusting customer service!

Asked the staff twice about a price and reassured twice that the gift bag was 50 p . I was in a hurry and got home to realise I'd been charged £2. Not happy about the dishonesty.

I heard the body shop is going out of business and I can see why. I bought several of their crayons for eye and lip and discovered when I got them home that one colour in particular smells … taste and goes on clumpy and dry because they are selling products that have expired at full price. I went back to get a fresher one and they were adamant that that was the natural smell of the product. A man served me so he has no idea of how ransid makeup smells esp lipsticks after their shelf life . Tge product smells exactly like stale nuts or stale cooking oil which I assume was the problem because he did say it’s the oil. He refused to exchange it or reimburse me for the product . It was 38 dollars plus I bought 4. If they treat their customers like this that’s probably contributes to their problem in sales . They basically sold me a product that I had no idea was expired and cannot use and are not prepared to do anything for me. Buyer beware . This is stealing from a customer . I did hear the body shop is owned by Koreans and this gentlemen was Korean with a very matter of fact style. I felt robbed and manipulated . Please know what you are buying and check the shelf life on these products because clearly there selling stale products at full price probably because they are going out of business

Emailed their customer services with a specific question, response was standard letter 'thank you for your comments, we will forward this to our marketing department, blah blah'. Still waiting to hear from their marketing department when I sent a similar email 3 years ago. Absolutely terrible customer service, and I still haven't had an answer as to why they changed the smell of White Musk and still call it White Musk (which is an awful heavy flowery smell) like those terrible room plug-ins.

Placed and ordered which includes an advert for a £30 face cream if the order was over a certain value. Value of the order was met but the code didn't apply when I checked out. I contacted the customer service to be told it didn't apply but no t and c's were shown on the advert. They didn't honour the offer and after 2 weeks of emails which were far of the mark they offered a £5 gift voucher! This company used to give great customer service so truly disappointed.

I made an online order for 2 x 3 lots of hand cream. They was advertised as 3 for 2, but once the payment went through I noticed that I had paid for all 6 hand creams, instead of 4. I therefore sent an email explaining they had basically over charged me £14 & I would like a refund, I also called them and was told it would be sorted. I received an email reply today, saying that the only way they could give me a refund, was via a giftcard. I said this was not acceptable and I wanted a refund of the over charge that they had made, but was told, it was either a gift card or I could cancel the order and get a complete refund. I have taken this option and will not be ordering again. This feels almost like a scam, overcharge and then give you a gift card that has to be spent with them!

Do not buy in store!! Cheaper to buy online. Which is a shame, as the high street stores will end up closing, but unfortunately I won't be back.

Nu fik jeg lige lyst til et berette om en dårlig oplevelse jeg har haft med The Bodyshop. (Det er et par år siden).

Jeg har brugt en lille Eye Gel fra The Bodyshop i 15 år, samme emballage, samme produkt hver gang. På et tidspunkt opdagede jeg at den var på vej til at udgå og købte nogle stykker. Alle dem jeg købte havde en besynderlig/dårlig lugt. Den har i alle 15 år været komplet lugtfri (den er i øvrigt uparfumeret).
Jeg henvender mig derfor til dem og fortæller om min oplevelse med de her små Eye Gels jeg har brugt i mange mange år - og får flere gange at vide at det har de svært ved at tro... jeg går endda ned i en af butikkerne og den (meget unge) ansatte tager ikke mine ord for gode varer og ender med ugideligt først at stå og sniffe til dem og påstår så at Eye Gel'en som produkt nok altid har lugtet sådan... Jeg fortæller hende igen og igen at det har den ikke, for jeg har brugt den i 15 år. Men hun bliver ved med, helt ulogisk, at påstå at det er mig - kunden - der må være noget galt med. Basically imødekommer Bodyshop aldrig de henvendelser jeg kommer med, og de fralægger sig flere gange ansvaret for det her produkt, som måske, hvad ved jeg, er for gammelt? Jeg går endda over i en anden butik (bliver dog mødt af en mere velvillig medarbejder her) for at komme til bunds i hvad der er galt med alle de Eye Gels jeg havde købt. Her gøres der heller ikke noget konkret men det bliver foreslået (den nemme løsning), at jeg da kan sende dem retur, hvilket for en nysgerrig og bevidst forbruger ikke er godt nok. Jeg vil vide hvorfor de lugter. Men Bodyshop er ikke interesserede i at finde frem til hvorfor de lugter. Jeg ringer så til deres kundeservice igen og de siger i telefonen at jeg da kan skrive en mail til dem - jeg skriver en mail til dem - og jeg har aldrig fået en tilbagemelding.

Har købt Coconut butter før de gik konkurs.,,der er absolut ingen kokus i., pas på med at købe., det virker som om de havde mere essens til bøtterne og bare sendte dem afsted uden duft., købte i foråret store bøtter,,

Quick backstory, when I was in my early 20s
I had experienced a rather large bowel movement and was required to use my Margaret Thatcher themed toilet brush. As I was thrusting maggie deep down the u-bend, I felt a twinge in my elbow. The point is, the name of the shop led me to believe I could purchase a new limb but I was mislead. Picked up some lovely shampoo though.

What can I say hmmm the whole refund process is a joke! the company waits until the last second to approve everything ! customer service that is practically non-existent! Well I know one thing, it's not worth buying anything from this company!

There was an issue with emails about my order confirmation and tracking. And I got in contact through Facebook and Stephanie was so helpful. Great products great customer service

I ordered 2 olive oil shower gel on June 24th. It is now July 27th and it STILL HAS NOT ARRIVED. What’s worse is Body Shop has absolutely no interest in helping me. I filled in their “contact form” SEVEN times. Did they reply? Of course not. I tried ringing the Customer Helpline FIVE times. On each occasion I hung on for 40 minute but no one picked up.I realise no one would EVER reply because I tried ringing at exactly 9am and there was the recording saying they had so many callers there would be a delay At 9.01??????!!!! Royal Main tracking say they are still waiting for Body Shop to send the goods. This is Trustpilot and my advice is NEVER TRUST BODY SHOP. They took my money but have no interest in me as a customer. NEVER AGAIN. In the unlikely event that Body Shop is remotely interested, my order number is #GBEZ35321762. No wonder they went into receivership.

I received gifts totalling £49 on the 13th July. The cardboard box was saturated and when opened, a bottle of shower gel had leaked all over the box and the other items. Fortunately, I was able to salvage the other items with a quick wipe but the shower gel bottle was a third empty. I tried to call customer services and after 30 mins on hold I decided to just email with pictures and request a replacement. Since the I have received the automated response with a case number 3082610 and that's it. I've received various 'Sale' emails but nothing to do with my issue. I emailed customer services again and received another automated email with another case number........so disappointed. I thought this was an ethical, honourable company. That's what their ethos declares. Not towards me though. Wouldn't recommend online shopping to anyone and I will never use it again.

Parcel never arrived. Kept being directed to live chat which not available for 3 days so had to email. 3 days later no response. Called number found and was told parcel lost and offered to resend but they refused to send next day despite having ordered 2 weeks ago and them loosing the parcel. Horrific customer service and repeatedly spoke over the top of me about what they cannot do - no responsibility or accountability for their mistakes. Refused to give name and also refused to take complaint or speak to the complaints team

I always find staff polite, warm and super helpful when I go in to any branch of the Body shop. I have had particularly good experiences in Harrogate and Leeds branches.

Just bought Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover. It does NOT remove anything at all. What is this exactly? I don't even wear mascara. I do use primer and use eyeshadow. It stings - nothing gentle about it. When I tried to review this product, I wasn't able to - I began to wonder their high product ratings are genuine. I bought a similar Camomile remover before and quality was ok - this def isn't the same product and doesn't serve any intended purpose whatsoever.
