They came twice as part of a bathroom refit. First to level the floor , ready for the bathroom furniture fitting and then to fit the subfloor and lvt. They were tidy, diligent and friendly and really knowledgeable giving us advice on other flooring issues in the house. I would certainly use them again

Very positive experience using The Floor Barn Ltd for our carpeting requirements for a new property. The sales person listened to what we needed then went through the attributes of various different types and grades of carpets allowing us to make an informed decision. Booked a fitting date and had the carpets expertly fitted. Would definitely recommend.

What a brilliant company to deal with from Sarah in the shop who was very friendly very knowledgeable and a great help to us as we weren’t sure what we wanted .The fitters are excellent from measuring up to the actual fitting of the carpet they were very neat very tidy there was no mess what’s so ever and made a brilliant job of it I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this firm to my family and friends

Always have an outstanding experience with The Floor Barn. They have fitted nearly every room in my house and I'm delighted with the results. They have a wonderful showroom & Sarah is super friendly and helpful. The fitters take pride in their work and do a fantastic job. I couldn't recommend them enough!

I have just had my dining room and kitchen with the floor barn and what an amazing job! From the start going into the shop, Sarah was brilliant showing us all the different flooring and what would be better for us! We was in the middle of having a new kitchen fitted and they were able to fit the flooring in to what suited the kitchen fitters! Simon and his team were very friendly and did an amazing job! I am so pleased with the job he has done! I would definitely recommend this company! Thank you Sarah and Simon I will definitely be using you again!

I had a very poor experience with The Floor Barn.

After ordering some quickstep flooring and having it fitted, I then ordered some quick step scotia beading to match. I paid over the phone and my fitter picked up the scotia and fitted it. The following day, I noticed that it did not match the floor (the floor is grey and the scotia is brown.)
I got in touch in order to get a replacement. Sarah initially accused us of having swapped it “that Scotia in the picture doesn't even look like quickstep.” She refused to re-order without a second payment, and so the fitted scotia had to be taken up and taken back to the shop for her to see. Because the product number matched the floors product number, Sarah's intransigence continued. She insisted that it was correct and would only provide a new piece if I paid in full once again.

It was clear that there was a problem and so I got in touch with Unilin directly. It was confirmed that it was wrong ….

“Good afternoon
Apologies for the delay, I have spoken to the accessories team they have confirmed the décor of the scotia is incorrect, it is possible that this darker piece is from the previous production but got caught in the new production stamp line. As this is from 2020 we cannot confirm exactly what occurred.”

Obviously there is no way that a customer should be forced to go past the retailer and have to contact the supplier directly to get to the bottom of a perfectly straight forward matter like this. Because as Joe Bloggs it had taken a number of weeks to receive a response from Unilin, my builders had finished and had been paid for their work, so I asked whether as a gesture of goodwill, TFB would be willing to fit some new, and matching scotia (a job which would take them all of five minutes to do.) They refused and confirmed that they would only provide either a refund or replacement and that once again I would have to go back to the shop.

I took the time to find out from the horses mouth whether TFB had actually been in touch with Unilin to try and help me and sadly they had not. Unilin confirmed that no contact had been received in regard to this matter.

If this is the level of aggravation they are willing to put a customer through for a scotia bead worth £8.99, I would hate for there to be a problem with a floor which they had fitted.

Further to the review above, my response to the initial reply from TFB can be seen on the companies FB page. I provide whatsapp screen shots to disprove everything written. I felt compelled to respond because of their lies regarding demands and harassment (this is a theme in their responses to poor reviews.)

[As of the 24-10-23, their reply below has been edited 5 times!]

Then ironically, I received a threat of legal action and police involvement in an unsolicited communication from TFB via Whatsapp on 21-10-23. Again, this is published in full on the companies FB page.

"Your demands and threats weren't tolerated so you're now leaving reviews on all platforms as an attempt to do what? "

"At this any more communication from you directly or on any other platform will result in me contacting the police after taking legal advise I am asking you not to contact The Floor Barn again."

So ironically the only threats are coming from TFB. Threats of legal action and police involvement because of outlining poor service. The only direct contact and harassment is coming from TFB. And to say that I have amended my review is missing the point that it is in response to the amendments made by TFB, the last 3 being on 24-10-23.

They quote the email from Unilin without acknowledging that it was a response sent to me. I forwarded the response on to TFB in order to elicit a refund. It is unclear why they think this is a positive for them? It makes clear that they could have raised a complaint and refunded from the start. There is no way that any reputable company would force the customer to contact the supplier in order to get a refund for faulty goods. Up until that point, TFB had demanded a further payment if they were to order a new piece of scotia.

They continue to suggest that I did not take the scotia into the shop even though I have provided proof by way of text messages and photo that I did (on the FB page.) And it was not "sent off" at any point. I had to show the son where it had been left when I came back to pick it up.

They continue to make allegations of harassment and threats. The latest review suggests my review is fabricated. They are lying.

They have spent their time writing lies on the internet and making threats direct to me due to being triggered by my truthful, unflattering review.

I will be releasing our correspondence in full on their FB page shortly. This will disprove any allegations and potential customers can consider if TFB do "go the extra mile to make sure our customers have the best experience and service." Or not?

From start to finish of looking for a new lounge carpet, buying it and having it fitted the process was excellent. Floor Barn were very professional, friendly and nothing was too much trouble .. turned up exactly when they said they would. Would recommend them to anyone.

What a wonderful family business, so polite, professional, helpful and friendly. The laminate flooring that I chose for my bedroom is very new to the market. It is so beautiful with a pressed flower and concrete effect. The service that I received was second to none and the fitting of the laminate and skirting boards is absolutely perfect. I have 100% confidence in this business and shall purchase all of my flooring from them in the future.

Great store with helpful staff and a good range for floor coverings. I bought vinyl for a bathroom which arrived and was fitted quickly on a date of my choice. The fitting was perfect, all done within an hour, and even bagged up and took away the rubbish. Great service. Highly recommended. Will be looking to buy my future floor coverings from Floor Barn.

Pleasant and attentive staff who are extremely helpful with regards to choosing the right type of flooring for your needs and knowledgeable regarding the range of products they offer. Quick and easy experience in arranging the measuring and agreeing fitment dates. Supplied us with Karndean flooring in the hallway together with carpeting to hall, stairs and landing and three other rooms. The fitters were very friendly and hardworking and left everything tidy and clean. We are very pleased with the end results.

Flooring looks fabulous. The fitters did an amazing job, they were friendly, efficient, quick and polite.

We had a brilliant experience from start to finish.

We had the whole of our downstairs laminated and two rooms upstairs carpeted. Everything was complete in two days with no disruption to day to day living.

Floor Barn have done the flooring in our whole house, this includes carpet, laminate and LVT. The offer a professional and friendly service. They don’t try to sell you the most expensive flooring they have like some places; they cater to your personal requirements. Simon is an extremely talented fitter and both he and Sarah are very knowledgeable on the products they offer.

They are a brilliant family run business and I recommend them to anyone I know that require flooring. Would highly recommend to everyone!
