WARNING TO ALL NEW LANDLORDS!
WARNING TO ALL NEW LANDLORDS!! Make sure you request that a termination clause is added to your tenancy agreement before you sign. I was appalled at TLG's slapdash service, inexperienced staff and failure to manage contractors' poor fixes on my house, which caused much stress to myself and my tenants. After six months I tried to end the contract, only to be told that because I hadn't requested a termination agreement I was stuck with The Letting Game until the tenants vacated my home, paying them a large fee each month for them doing very little.
This is nonsense - as a consumer landlord I am protected under consumer law from unfair contracts. After a couple of strongly worded emails from a solicitor they agreed to end the contract for a fee of c£600 (which I argued down from £1k+).
I only went through this process as they were refusing to release the tenants' deposit until I paid, which I believe is illegal as it's not their money (and for this I have reported them to Trading Standards through the Citizens Advice Bureau).
In my opinion The Letting Game is an overly ambitious company that wants to run before it can walk. The team use aggressive marketing tactics and bullying language to gain and keep its tenants and landlords.
There are many more professional companies out there who actually care about the people they house.

We recently sent a questionnaire to our landlords and whilst we had some useful feedback the overwhelming majority were positive and would recommend us.

The viewing went very well and Amy was a delight showing us the features of the house, answering any questions and helping with the whole process along with Akaysha who guided us through all the steps needed to get the paperwork moving keeping a good line of communication throughout 😁

We were shown the property by Amy Payne. Amy was wonderful, answered all of our questions satisfactorily and, above all, let us take the extra time inside the property we needed to thoroughly assess the property as a potential home for us and to take some measurements to that effect.
