I've visited before and had a pleasant time despite the crowds and not being able to experience some things like the steam room/sauna as way too many people. Trying to book again to return years later and given up as impossible to book online (surely this should be possible in this day and age!) Read the reviews and looks like it's gone downhill big time so not going to bother. Looks like purely a money making project rather than for people's wellbeing.

Staff very u friendly and unhelpful. Mixed changing rooms filthy - there were bits of bloody tissue in the one I had to use and hair on the floor. You have to pay for huge flip flops to avoid walking on the floor. Facilities are accessible only by walking up and down four floors or taking the cold scruffy lift between areas. One steam room was closed. Everywhere was packed full with little space to live in pools or saunas. Horrible to see people coughing up phlegm in one steam room. The worst spa experience ever, and I spent nearly £500 on the three of us for a special birthday - awful.

Can't even book! Try online but says you can't do the packages online, so I call. I've tried all morning - You wait on the phone then get a message saying no one is available and get cutoff. Thank goodness i didn't book as have now read the reviews! Sounds truly awful and delighted we didn't waste the money

Far too busy everywhere which wasn’t relaxing but stressful. Showers on different floor to changing rooms meant a very cold two flights of stairs with just a towel wrapped around me. Communal areas everywhere not welcome either. Rooftop pool fantastic but again sooo crowded. Would not go again.

Lovely staff greeted us on reception. My husband and self went in the evening 18.30-20.30 not too busy at all. Everywhere was clean. Robes and towels provided. I purchased Slipper mules nice quality for just £2.50 Facilities were amazing from the warm roof top pool to the luxurious I fra red sauna, steam room and the I door pool just Amazing! Can't comment on cafe as enjoying the pool too much to leave. Thank you for the experience would definitely book again if visiting Bath.

The spa was over crowded, to the point were I felt like we turned up to a giant orgy, so many people kissing and just all over each other made it very uncomfortable to see, most of the lockers were out of order, a few of the relaxation rooms were so full we had to queue outside the door to go in,the steam room was so full people were stood up next to each other! One of the rooms was out of order, there was 2 bridal/ hen groups that were so loud, that nothing about this place was relaxing and to top it off… the restaurant where if you buy something you get a “free half hour stay” on your time, yeah that was for reservations only. Absolutely chaotic.
The only good thing about this place was the little machine were you could dry off your swim suit!

Not like on adverts , so crowded. Food in the coffee shop discussing . They giving only one towel, Which one getting wet after first shower. On the end of the spa somebody nicked my bathrobe, just because so many people and of course who can remember where exactly they left them own one. I wouldn’t recommend to go here

An experience for sure.. had a great day as part of a hen do. Customer service not the best but still a good day in a beautiful part of England.

Dreadful, poor Customer Service at all levels, no Customer focus, Management are a bit thick, avoid there are better alternatives

Wonderful facilities, let down by crowds of people/noise.

Better rules/guidance please!!! A member of staff on each floor continually keeping doors shut & silence please!!! Then this would be a magical experience.

A simple silence & coordinated access with reduced numbers would make this a wonderful experience.

Positives: great facilities, once I put my annoyance about the hoards of chatty, noisy people out of my head. Lack of instruction/ignorance meant doors to steam/saunas were left open.

I agree there shouldn’t be phones/cameras. Anyone thinking they should be allowed phones/cameras are clearly amongst the ignorant noisy, born in a barn brigade!

I was having problems making an online booking and when I tried to book my chosen spot for myself and my partner there was only one space available. I booked that and then emailed the Spa to ask if they could fit in second booking. I got a reply within an hour, not bad for late on a Sunday afternoon, asking for my phone number.
I received a call the next morning and made the second booking.
Great service and much appreciated.

It is unfortunate to write that I was very disappointed by your spa.

I was hoping for a nice relaxing time, but alas this was not the case, from overcrowded pools to noisy chatty treatment rooms… It was quite the opposite of relaxing, we booked a 2 hour slot but after an hour we decided to leave. It was not enjoyable… Or worth the money spent.

On top of this, it was not very clean in the pool, bits of dirt and hair stuck on the grates and the customer service was poor.

I, certainly will not be visiting again.

We come here every year and this spa is the highlight of our visit. Would like to have given 5 stars but there always seems to be several things not working - this year the ice room, the Georgian steam room and also the lazy river. Disappointing. There always seems to be a lift out of order for the last few years too.
We pre-booked the day before and were not told about the lack of flip flops (which have always previously been included in the price) so had to purchase on the day at extra cost. I think that should have been waived as so many things were broken! They only had size 10 too, so we opted for the slippers instead. I really think footwear should be compulsory due to all the nasties you can pick up with uncovered feet, not sure why this has been changed? Bizarre. But overall we had a good, relaxing couple of hours.

Rip-off! I don't know how they can justify charging what they do and they are clearly so money grabbing as they let sooo many people in at once. Surely the whole point of booking an entry time is so they can limit the number of people but every single section was crowded. The changing rooms were dirty and dark. The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. I can't believe I wasted my money on this experience. Felt more like a dilapidated Butlins than a spa experience.

We felt the twilight package wasn't worth the money at all compared to the ones we have been to in the past. They give you 2 hours which we accepted but they don't let you check in till dead on the dot. 10 mins beforehand is surely not too much to ask to let yourself get checked in and changed. By the time we got into the thermal bit it was 4.20 and we only had till 6! There was also only one staff member checking in the queue of guests that were all due in at 4pm. Staff were not very friendly or helpful. The pool inside is very nice and relaxing. However we didn't find it relaxing having to go up and down the floors, that's just our opinion unfortunately. It was also very crowded which also made it not relaxing at all. It is more of a tourist attraction rather than a relaxing spa.
Not everything worked on the floor where the steam / saunas where which was very disappointing, neither did all the showers. The space dark room is a very good idea but again only one of the heated beds worked so me and my husband shared this one! The food was just ok in the package.
Unfortunately we wouldn't ever come back as it was nothing to boast about. We enjoy woodland spa in Burnley far too much.

If I could give zero stars I would. Not the experience I imagined. Staff were lacking any customer service skills on the reception and very unhelpful. Pre booked tickets and walk in's were not signposted resulting in us waiting in a queue for 30 mins whilst staff chatted.
Overcrowded in all areas, only had size 10 flipflops very dangerous for walking around, lift not working, some showers not working. Far too many people which meant doors of the treatment rooms constantly opened would not go back.

It’s ok. Granted, I’m used to really good, quiet spas and this one isn’t, BUT it does have some good points. It’s in a beautiful location, steeped in history, real, thermal bathing waters and great views from the roof top. There’s quite a few good points! It’s more like an experience? I didn’t feel ripped off and thought that the value was reasonable. Now, for the slightly more negative side. Ok, overcrowded. Really, really overcrowded. Had to wait around trying to get into rooms in the wellness suite that weren’t actually worth it. I’ve got a better star room at home and lots didn’t seem to be working/available. Crowded, loud roof top pool with people stuck to the steps where you need to get in/out. Building inside could do with some tlc as in places big chunks were missing from walls and skirting boards. A fair few grubby spots too. I’m trying to be balanced but I don’t think I’ll return.

Booked in advance for June 2023 for a treat for our 30th wedding anniversary. We had been there in June 2022 and it was nice although last year only one lift was working it was posted on their website. This year all the lifts were broken and it was not on their website. My husband has a fused ankle and uses a crutch to assist with walking because the other ankle needs surgery. So he thought he could manage the stairs if he only went up to the rooftop pool once and went slowly using the crutch and handrail. THERE WAS NO HANDRAIL for one flight of stairs. It had been removed from the wall. No other stairwell exists and this stairwell was extremely busy because all customers had to use it. The whole facility was very crowded and noisy. Not relaxing at all. Everything seemed grubby and dirty. The waterline in the pools was grey on the pillers and pool edges. I saw a blob of what looked like mucus float past me while in the indoor pool. The bubble jets in the rooftop pool weren't working (I think they have been out of order for a few months based on reading another review on here). And many of the lockers in the changing room were broken with out of order signs on them. Way too many people in all the steam rooms, sauna room and ice room. And people talking in loud volumes as though they were at a seaside amusement park instead of a spa. I was surprised by how this place has deteriorated in a year. We don't plan to go again.
