Matt and Matty were both excellent. They explained everything, completed the work on time and to a great standard and were both polite and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend both

Martin Wilkinson of Timber Wise gave me some excellent advice about historic damp problems in my flat and how to stop them recurring in the future. I would thoroughly recommend him.

Do not recomend this company.

Found them online advertising a free survey to identify issues within my living room.

A surveyor came out two hours earlier than planned and I was about to go into a meeting so after a less than a 10 minute quick discussion the surveyor arranged a date and time the following week to come back out.
This included looking under the floorboards that I had lifted to see the subfloor no charge mentioned and part of a basic job of recommendations for works.

Considerations were made about a calcium test and a subfloor fan for 1000.

We agreed a date and time to come back and undertake an actual investigation/discussion of the issues so I could make am informed decision.

Rushing home and waiting for three hours, no call and no email advising why the surveyor had not arrived or contacted. The issue could be as simple as cold bridging causing dot and damp marks however who knows as this conversation never took place.

Several emails back and forth I was told no follow up appointment had been made but I could pay almost £300 for a calcium test to rule out condensation issues, a recommended cost without a proper discussion or survey......

This is without a thorough conversation/assessment or a follow up visit having had taken place as planned. Nor any feedback provided prior to my contacting the area manager.

The amount of false promises, unreliability and poor communication in this industry is bizzare, no communication and waiting around for "professionals " is exhausting.

Very good aftercare and quick attention when needed. Great service all round.

Very poor service. Had to chase up report numerous times. Finally got hold of report and it was obviously a generic, cut and paste job. Report states "no urgent" work needed - had a another company do a survey and was given a comprehensive report within 48 hours with itemised jobs and costings. Essentially paid £300 for a fancy looking report with no substance. Definitely will not be using the service again.

Sent an email to say how bad service was and was given a very poor response.

Engaged the services of Timberwise to carry out a dry rot survey on my house in Cardiff and to carry out the remedial works to eradicate the rot. Steve came this morning to survey a property which I bought in August and in which I am having salt contamination in conservatory wall.
He is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He checked the house and explained me everything in details.
Will 100% recommend.

Very happy with the works carried out on our living room where the damp course needed replacing. Andy carried out a thorough survey and selected the works that were needed to get us watertight and smelling sweet again. Jan and Graham were efficient prompt and very professional, cleaning up after themselves as they worked. We can definitely recommend this company. Thank you all.

I used Timberwise on 7th January 25 to have a survey on a property I purchased in August and had concerns about damp.
The surveyor was very proffesional and listened to my concerns . was able to explain her findings and provided photos and a written report to confirm I did not have a damp issue.
From the initial phone call to Timberwise to the day of the survey I felt confident how the firm has dealt with my problem.
My only regret is I wish I would have used them months ago when purchasing the property ,but now I'm so glad to have found them and would recommend them 100%

Very satisfied with how Timberwise treated dry rot in our home. The survey from Ian was very thorough and he really took the time to understand the situation and wrote a very detailed review. We were also pleased that he was able to fit us in a week earlier than expected as we were impatient to have the issue sorted as soon as possible. Very impressed by James, who carried out the large majority of the works, was very friendly and extremely hard working and thorough. I should also mention Jimmy, who took care of the replastering, as well as Connie and Jackie in contracts for providing all necessary information. It felt reassuring to work with a company like Timberwise during such a stressful time.

Timberwise were fantastic in all aspects of the process after we found dry rot in our front room. I submitted a survey request on their website and within a day someone was in touch and we had a free survey booked. Our surveyor, Dan, was thorough and informative and provided a comprehensive report once we'd agreed to the quote. Having discovered the dry rot in the run up to Christmas we were worried we wouldn't be able to get anything sorted in time, but Timberwise were able to fit us in and the work started very quickly. Our technician, Adrian, was fantastic - punctual, hardworking and great to chat with, and completed everything to an incredibly high standard with lovely plastering and even managing to match the skirting boards which are unusually high. He went out of his way to source these so we're very grateful! Having his reassurance and 40 years of expertise was also invaluable. Overall, I cannot recommend this company highly enough and they made an unwelcome discovery just before Christmas a lot less stressful

The response by Timberwise to my review, once again highlights everything I have said. A lot of slick words, but no substance behind them, no offer of reasonable compensation! Just a corporate fob off. Customers deserve better.

If you have a problem, Timberwise are a nightmare to deal with!

After treating some timbers in my loft, they clearly had an accident. I pointed out the staining to my kitchen flooring, before the technicians left my property.

I suggested to the company they send a technician to test my flooring, I didn't even receive a response.

I went to the regional sales manager. He was very charming on the phone, and apologetic, agreeing that my flooring should have been protected, which it was not. He then had the gall to offer me a £50 good will gesture.

Finally I took the matter to the C.E.O. He sent me the most ridiculous response. Rambling on about one of the technicians 25 years of wonderful service, this was not the issue! Absolutely nothing I said was addressed, including the fact that it would have been spatially impossible, for all of the equipment brought to my property, for the treatment, to have fitted into the small wet room, where access could be gained to the timbers! I sent photographs and measurements, this too was ignored. All of them denied any responsibility.

Following a visit from Steve, the timber surveyor, who reassured us that evidence of woodworm in our old house was historical, we decided to go ahead with treatment for an infestation in our outbuildings. Matt and Matty came to do the spray treatment and were polite and helpful. They explained the procedure and left the buildings tidy. Would recommend.

Very fast, efficient and friendly service. Could not have been easier. Ella Munroe was particularly helpful.

After an appalling level 3 survey from our buyer indicating damp throughout the property I contacted Timerwise. Steve Iddon was sent out within 48hrs to complete a full damp survey. Steve was professional, thorough and honest .. and more importantly reassured me the house didn’t have rising damp as previously suggested. The report was sent over the following working day. Excellent, professional and fast service.

Dean did a brilliant job on the wood repairs for five weathered windows on the front of our house, which is in a conservation area, needing sensitive treatment .
He showed a real pride in the work and the end result is great.

Dean Foster visited, me thinking I had a damp problem. His knowledge and professionalism and confidence is so reassuring. It didn't take him long to advise it was a condensation problem and advised how I can deal with it. Commented on a couple of other possible problems I thought was present reassuring me all ok.

This was the third time I had dealt with Timberwise and Dean Foster. Previously rising Damp was found and professional, competent staff attended and resolved the issue after Dean's survey. Any follow up questions are dealt with speedily and efficiently. I'm really impressed with Timberwise and Dean for constant honest, easy to access great practice.
