Necessary for every free screen growing kid
Tonie is mine and my son’s best friend.
We listen to its story every day several times a day.
What i love most is that my 18th month old could use it easily and would change magnets very often to understand how it worked. I absolutely love the kid proof material and the easy steps for a toddler to use and enjoy it.
What i don’t really get is how to use the reverse method we only get it sometimes not every time we want to.
Thats a bit of a mystery to me but other than that we love Tonies.
My son now is 20 months old and uses it with ease and admiration.
Even though the speaker is 3 + years I will recommend for all the parents that have chosen free screen methods for their children. Absolutely wonderful and worth it.

Great product, awful customer service.
The product is fantastic. The delivery, customer service and operations around Black Friday to Christmas was appalling at best. There is no help number to contact, the live chat was disabled and you were lucky if you got a reply to your email after a week. Sadly the service I received from Tonies was not up to scratch at all and only after copying in the CEO did I get a resolution to the issue caused by them.

My daughter loves her Toni box, it’s easy for her to use and the lights act as a little nightlight. I was worried it would replace her books byt instead it compliments giving her more independence and it’s screen free.

The Product Isn’t the Problem, the Service Is - will leave you frustrated, stressed and exhausted with the company.
I wanted to leave a positive review. Instead, I am documenting one of the WORST customer service experiences I have encountered in over 27 years of purchasing children’s products.
This Christmas gift was delivered incomplete and remains unresolved to this day - two months later.
My original order arrived missing items. The ticket system tonies have proved ineffective, and useless with delayed or nonexistent responses. It was only after contacting the company via Instagram that someone finally replied to my open ticket. A replacement was confirmed and described as being sent via DPD Premium. I agreed to accept a different colour to expedite dispatch. The replacement took 12 days to arrive, by which point it was January 15th, and even then the an item was still incorrect (this still hasn’t been resolved).
The real issue has not been the initial mistake, but the pattern that followed:
• The case was closed before delivery, requiring another useless ticket to be opened
• An incorrect item was sent despite written confirmation
• Repeated delays
• Prolonged silence after prompt replies
• No meaningful escalation pathway
• Promised goods still not delivered
On one occasion I responded within three hours yet four days passed and three follow ups later there was still no reply. That lack of engagement has defined this entire experience.
The Toniebox was initially well received, but within a week it has largely sat unused. It is only being used because I purchased the reading books for the figures where I could, so that his mum can turn it into a structured bedtime reading routine. Without that additional expense, I doubt it would see much use.
I was particularly looking forward to the night light element, as it would have served a practical dual purpose, especially for my younger grandson. Instead, the wrong item was supplied, and the youngest still cannot safely interact with the product as intended as the other figures pose a choking hazard and yet he seems to enjoy the lights and wants to touch it but can’t.
There have already been requests within our family to purchase additional Tonieboxes for upcoming birthdays. I have strongly advised against it. Not necessarily because of the concept as I think if you purchased reading books to go with the figures it would be a good bedtime routine but because if anything goes wrong, the stress and effort required to resolve it simply are not worth it.
Customer service defines a company when things do not go to plan. In this case, it has failed repeatedly and no product justifies the level of frustration of dealing with this company in addition to the continued exasperation, anxiety disappointment at them not answering or keeping their promise.
Edit in response: I’ve emailed the ‘open’ ticket 3 times since the 19th so don’t see how emailing again will help? If you want to help, you can respond to my emails I’ve already sent. The issue wasn’t resolved as the item I was assured had been sent (the teddy bear night light) has not arrived 6 weeks later so don’t feel confident that the person was truthful with this.

Delivery still hasn't arrived and it's…
Delivery still hasn't arrived and it's been 16 days since my order. Emails take around 24 hour per reply. The delay then and lack of updates has lead to the items not being on time for my daughter's birthday which has now been and gone with still so sign of the items.
Honestly if your wanting to buy any Tonies just go to you local shop it's alot quicker and pain free than dealing with Tonies direct.
Overall poor service I won't be buying direct again

Absolutely exhausting experience – really disappointing
I’m genuinely so disappointed with how this has been handled from start to finish.
My child’s Tonie broke within the first month of having it. That in itself was frustrating, but these things happen — I expected the replacement process to be straightforward. It absolutely wasn’t.
The first replacement wasn’t delivered to the parcel locker as arranged, and I was left to track it down myself. After several weeks of waiting and having to chase customer services more than once, another replacement was finally sent.
Despite me clearly requesting that it not be sent to a particular address (because nobody would be in), it was sent there anyway.
Then it got worse. DPD placed some sort of block on the parcel and told the Post Office I had to contact them before it could be released. When I rang DPD, they had no idea why there was a block. I made three separate trips to the Post Office trying to collect it. In the end, I had to call DPD while standing at the counter so they could tell the Post Office staff that I was allowed to take my own parcel.
The amount of time, stress and fuel this has cost me is ridiculous.
When I raised this, I was offered a £5 voucher “for the inconvenience” — which wouldn’t even cover a free Tonie and certainly doesn’t come close to covering the fuel I’ve used driving back and forth trying to sort this mess out. It felt like a complete fob off.
I’m usually very reasonable and I don’t rush to leave negative reviews, but this has been one issue after another with no proper resolution or accountability. For a children’s brand that markets itself around happiness and positive experiences, the customer service in this case has been anything but.
Really, really disappointing.

Order process was simple and smooth as expected.
My 4 almost 5 year old loves his tonie box, he uses it most at night to go sleep. I brought the box to try get him off my iPad & it has worked.
The tonies themselves are expensive though, especially considering the paint work chips very easily so they don’t stay in great condition for long visually. So I mostly purchase them through Vinted.
