Having previously had a positive experience at the clinic, I'm sad to leave a negative review. I came into the clinic wanting sculptra to address volume loss. Following a direct and, quite frankly, borderline rude consultation, I was told that this wasn't the treatment I needed as it wouldn't give me the result I desired and felt pressured into choosing fillers. Fine. I'd had Dr Critchley before, so trusted his judgement. I brushed off the rudeness - perhaps he was having a bad day, we all have them. 4 MLS up and £1700 down, I left the clinic with absolutely zero improvement to my area of concern, or any lifting effect that Dr Critchley promised. I was told to expect realistic results and would have been pleased with any positive results at all but I unfortunately left feeling I had completely wasted my money. I certainly will not be returning and suggest that if the clinic are interested in keeping clients they work on listening to the client's needs and taking a more holistic approach to treatments rather than copy and pasting treatments they have had in the past when clearly the clients face shape and needs have changed. I would have been much happier if the clinic had sent me away rather than over promising and under delivering.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but my experience with Viva was genuinely distressing. After receiving filler, I suffered a severe delayed reaction, and the aftercare I received was extremely poor.

At my consultation at the TW clinic, I asked about chin/jaw filler for a receding profile. I was told this couldn’t be done without also lifting my midface and was advised to have 8ml of filler in total, with 6ml done that day and the remaining 2ml at a follow-up. I felt pressured into excessive treatment and that the plan was structured to ensure I returned.

Four weeks later, I developed tenderness in my cheeks that rapidly progressed into extreme swelling and hardness—I was almost unrecognisable and had to sleep sitting upright. Despite repeatedly contacting Viva, I was only asked to send photos and was eventually offered steroids without being seen by a doctor. No one examined me in person.

I sought urgent help from another clinic, who were shocked by my condition. They struggled to get clear information from Viva about the filler used. Thankfully, this consultant treated me immediately with hyaluronidase and provided exceptional follow-up care. Viva never checked in, never followed up, and never contacted me again after I explained what had happened.

Vivian did my hair & make up for my wedding day & I couldn't have asked for a nicer experience, she also did hair & make up for family of the wedding party & I can honestly say we all looked perfect. Vivian kept us all calm throughout the morning, the whole experience was perfect. Thank you x

What kind of flop business deletes and reports REAL customer reviews? VIVA SKIN CLINICS! Enough said for you to know what kind of clowns they are.

VivaChelsea completely botched my lips, I had massive hard lumps months later and had to get an appointments even with doctors because I was scared they ruined my face forever. AVOID!!!!!

they are a bunch of scammers. Do not buy anything from viva life store. A young lady by the name of Julia git me to check out store. She put on an eye serum or cream under my eyes and it worked wonderfully. So I bought eye serum or cream for 200 euros in chora, mykonos. I was on vacations in mykonos. I got back from vacation and I applied eye serum like she told and it did not work. She stole from me 200 euros. DO NOT TRUST THIS STORE. I already reported then he in USA to investigate and so I can get mu money back to my credit card. The eye serum i bought it's called voupre erase solution .

All of these 5 star reviews are a SCAM. Run away and don’t book anything with these untrustworthy clowns.

I am very disappointed with my recent experience at Viva Skin Clinic. I booked and paid for 1ml of lip filler, but I received only 0.5ml. The results were not what I had requested, with my lips lacking the shape and definition I was promised.

When I returned for a review appointment, my concerns were dismissed and no offer was made to correct the issue. As a result, I sought a second opinion from another clinic, where I was told the filler had been poorly placed, uneven, and clotted. I then had to pay an additional £500 for it to be dissolved.

Considering I had trusted Viva Skin Clinic, especially with my wedding coming up, this has been extremely upsetting and costly. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic and feel the service and aftercare were far below professional standards.

Dr. Rupert is my go-to for injectables. His Botox and fillers always look subtle and refined.

I was 35 years old and have always felt content with my appearance, but like many women, I was curious about subtle enhancements. I consulted with Dr. Ami, who recommended dermal fillers in my cheeks, nasolabial folds, and nose. The goal was to create “apple cheeks” and achieve a more youthful, refreshed look.

At the time, I had already received filler in my nasolabial folds just three months prior. I had naturally high cheekbones that didn’t require additional volume, and I later discovered — that my nose had significant cartilage loss from a previous septoplasty, something I was unaware of at the time. That's why the bump I had on my nose was getting more pronounced.

I trusted the medical advice and proceeded with the injections. It was a decision that profoundly and negatively changed my life.

Immediately, I looked overfilled, puffy, and significantly older. I went from appearing 10 years younger than my age to looking far beyond it. When the filler in my nose began to migrate, I had it dissolved. That’s when the nightmare truly began.

Within weeks of dissolving the filler, I experienced severe systemic symptoms: a burning sensation in my muscles and skin, joint pain, cracking in my joints, and visible volume loss in my hands, feet, knees, and neck. My muscles began to atrophy despite consistent strength training, and my skin became thin, crepey, and almost translucent. It felt as though my body was aging by decades in a matter of weeks.

Eventually, I learned about ASIA syndrome (Autoimmune/Inflammatory Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants) through a support group for individuals affected by botched fillers and hyaluronidase damage. I discovered I was not alone — thousands of women were suffering from similar symptoms following filler dissolving procedures.

What followed were years of relentless medical appointments across the UK and abroad, extensive testing, expensive treatments, lifestyle changes, and profound physical and emotional distress. I spent a small fortune unsuccessfully trying to reverse the damage. I was forced to take time off work and became socially isolated.

Attempts to seek acknowledgment or help from SkinViva were initially dismissed. My symptoms were invalidated, my reviews deleted, and I was left feeling unheard and alone. Only recently did they listen to my story — but even then, no real solution was offered.

Five years on, I still have residual filler in my face, despite signing a consent form stating it would last only 18 months. It is now migrating toward my eye, and there is no safe or guaranteed method to remove it.

The only significant improvement I’ve experienced came from adopting a strict carnivore diet, which helped alleviate the burning sensations and joint pain.

Before this, my life was full — I was ready to start a family and move forward with confidence. These treatments stole years from me. They robbed me of my health, my vitality, and my future plans. I missed my opportunity to have a family because I have been sick.

Women face so many challenges as we age — from the hormonal shifts of perimenopause and menopause, to the emotional toll of caring for aging parents and managing the demands of life. I didn’t need the added pain, trauma, and physical deterioration brought on by these injections!

I now firmly believe that most women do not need aesthetic treatments in their 30s. The signs of aging — such as laxity and skin thinning — emerge much later, and dermal fillers are not the solution. In many cases, they can cause more harm than good.

This experience has been devastating. I’m sharing my story in the hope that it can prevent others from making the same mistake. Please be cautious, do your research, and listen to your instincts. No cosmetic enhancement is worth risking your health and quality of life.

Rupert is also highly knowledgeable and experienced, with a real eye for facial aesthetics, you can tell you're in expert hands.

The reception staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the whole experience even better.
