Great site for VO artists
Great site for VO artists. Excellent customer service! I've had some minor issues with clients and Voices support worked quickly to help me resolve them.I would definitely recommend this site.

Very professional service from talent…
Very professional service from talent although I wish other contacted talent would have replied sooner. My project was completed quickly and very happy with the final product.

I applied for a swedish dataset project…
I applied for a swedish dataset project but no response from the application or the support (waited 4 days) and that project is almost over. I would like to get a response or I think this website is a scam.

Overall it was not bad nor exceptional
Overall it was not bad nor exceptional. Only 2 voice actors responded to the audition call! Not impressive, I used more than one service in my search for someone to narrate my audiobook. Out of the top three one had 24 auditions, another 4 auditions with Voices at the bottom with 2.
I hired off of Voices for a variety of reasons, budget being one, and the narrator was in the top 3 on the list. So overall I rate their service as average, no better and no worse than the others.
Will I search for a narrator on Voices for the next book? Yes, along with using the other sites as well.

Total SCAM
Despite the many auto-emails they pestered me with (largely offering me a discount on their "premium" $499 membership (!), Voices.com did not bother to respond to my question regarding their paywall.
My question was, is it true that over 90% of your "employers" are just bait-- that is, they look available for application, but when you click on them to apply, you are REDIRECTED to a page instructing you to pay $499 for "access"!
Otherwise, you CAN'T APPLY. Seriously??
THIS is their business model (well, not counting the 20% pre-tax fee on all jobs you land). Wow!
The first job I landed was Job #764311, which was nothing more than a criminal enterprise trying to seduce Voice.com workers out of their addresses, birthdays, and social security numbers.
I just spent 30 minutes with the REAL company owner-- i.e. the one NOT interested in hiring any voices. He had been pummeled by a number of Voice.com workers who insisted they had sent in the voiceovers, but had not received their payment.
I advised him on how to extract himself legally from the problems he suffered-- as Voices.com is clearly more interested in milking wannabe workers for cash than vetting the "employers" they dangle in front of us.
$499 premium indeed! Voices.com is laughable.
Beware of this waste of time. I have spent many hours and received a big fat zero for my trouble. I avoided a case of identity theft by searching websites and finding a phone number to connect with the real owner. Otherwise, I would be in as bad a shape as the workers to gave up their information and completed the voiceovers WITHOUT PAY.
P.S. Postscript, from the "Voices" reply:
"The membership fee... ensures that the premium talent on Voices are at the professional level required to meet the needs of clients..."
The Premium (not membership) fee ensures ONLY that the pockets of Voices.com are well-lined.
It ensures nothing whatsoever to vendors looking for talent.
Also, your special vetting system caught nothing. We (the talent) had to complain before something was done -- thus rather belatedly.
And why haven't you deleted my (& others') accounts yet??
I provided an email AND a website request over a week ago, yet am still receiving your email bot ads.

We are aware of these fraudulent accounts and have taken action by removing all associated job postings and permanently suspending the relevant clients. These scammers employ sophisticated tactics, including using legitimate company and employee names, to bypass our security and flagging systems. However, the moment they engage with talent on our platform, our system promptly detects suspicious activity, allowing us to take immediate action and shut them down.
Sharing personal contact information or accepting jobs off-platform is a violation of our Terms of Service, which is designed to prevent situations like these. The only exception is when a client provides an agreement on Voices, and contact information is shared solely for the purpose of conducting a live directed session.
Building on the measures we already have in place, we are actively enhancing the platform with additional security features to further safeguard our community.
The safety and success of talent on our platform is our number one priority and we encourage any talent who is feeling uncertain about a job or a client to contact our support team and they can look into it.
Regarding membership levels and applying for jobs, we do have a free guest membership, which gives you the opportunity to build up your profile on our website, upload unlimited demos, and receive private invites to jobs. The best way to maximize these opportunities is to fully fill out your profile and add high-quality demos - tagging them all properly - so that clients can see what you're capable of. Both your profile and your demos are essential to success on Voices.
The premium membership does come with a cost, and the advantages for premium talent include daily job invitations that match the talent’s profile and skill set, sent to the talent directly, and access to the world’s best brands all in one place - something that would be difficult to do on your own. The membership fee also ensures that the premium talent on Voices are at the professional level required to meet the needs of clients, to ensure clients continue to come back to Voices to post their jobs.
Our goal is to provide the highest possible value to both our clients and our talent to make any fees worthwhile. That being said, we continue to look at pricing and the ways we can improve this element of the customer experience, and we appreciate your feedback.

Hola, recibí un correo para participar en unas audiciones, seguí todos los pasos, subí mi audición llene el formulario y al parecer todo bien por que me salió un mensaje que decía iSu entrada ha sido enviada exitosamente! Un miembro de nuestro equipo se pondrá en
contacto con usted por correo electrónico dentro de 5 a 7 días hábiles. Eso fue el 7 de noviembre y nunca recibí ningún correo y hoy me enviaron otra invitación para participar en otra audición y trate de llenar el formulario y dice que rellené mal la casilla de mi dirección y no me deja avanzar a subir mi audición, dice que tengo que pedir autorización para modificar datos y ya mande un correo a soporte y tampoco me han contestado . Los puestos de trabajo que ya envié audición son 759458, 757671, 715934 y el que me enviaro hoy es 762360 al que no puedo mandar la audición . Quedo a espera de una respuesta. Muchas gracias

Los miembros de voices son unos abusivos que mandan contratos e instrucciones que literalmente dicen una cantidad de tiempo específica de grabación de voz y cuando entregas lo que dice el contrato te piden mucho más. Tuve una plática con Nancy Moreno y con Peter Longworth en la cual literalmente me ofrecían una disculpa por la ambiguedad de su contrato y me comentaban que el departamento de finanzas había aprobado pagarme el monto total de mi contrato. Esto fue el 28 de septiembre del 2024 y meses después, el 11 de noviembre del 2024 Jennifer Ajayi me comenta que se me pagarán $700 ya con la comisión de voices incluida por mi trabajo pues según ella no está completo, cuando yo entregué lo que decía literalmente el contrato y se me había dicho por escrito que se me pagarían los1050 dólares con la comisión de voices, lo cual equivale a $840. Son unos abusivos, faltos de ética y criminales. Pues violar un documento legal es un crimen. Job #718969

The Customer Has No Control Over Choosing the VO Artist.
i chose a very qualified Voice Over Artist after searching for hours. I entered the specific "offer him/her a job". Went through ALL the boxes specific to my project and his/her talents. After a half-hour or more when I wanted to send them the job, I came to a page that listed SEVERAL random people under Public. (all of which did NOT pay attention to my FIXED price but wanted to charge me more). I then went to Private, but the VO artist I had chosen was NOT listed after I had followed all the proper steps. I was VERY, VERY MAD and FRUSTRATED. I get the impression that the customer has NO control over the VO artist they choose.

The easiest way to invite a specific talent is by inviting the talent to the job right from their profile. We do offer the option to invite more talent if you'd like to, in order to receive more auditions, but inviting one talent is possible. There may be instances when that particular talent is away or not available.
