Premium Colosseum Tour with Roman Forum & Palatine Hill
I was hesitant at first as it seemed a little expensive but the tour was worth every cent, and you get what you pay for. We had a smaller group (maybe 12?) - other groups were way bigger. Our guide Mauro was THE BEST. So knowledgeable about the history, and passionate about all things Italian, and a charming gentleman. Cannot recommend this particular tour enough. Friendly tip, don't forget your passport, you must present at entrance.

A member of our tour was unable to…
A member of our tour was unable to attend due to illness, however, there is no option for single member refunds without rescheduling the entire tour and losing significant funds.
We did not take the "promised" walk through private hallways which was the entire premise of this tour. An equivalent substitute was not offered.
The tour guide was knowledgeable with a bit of snootiness when asked questions. Tour guide was too focused on pushing the group through and even commented on the need to finish as she had to be in another distant town in a short while.
Although the content of the tour is beyond compare, I would not repeat the experience nor recommend it to others as the tour owner's charges are ridiculous and gluttonous -- which are aligned with all other tours offered at the Vatican. I hazard a guess that the Vatican charges hefty fees to the tour companies "for the privilege" of access.

As noted on our website, starting December 2024, access to St. Peter’s Basilica may be limited due to the Vatican’s Jubilee Year 2025, which includes special events and ceremonies. These closures are determined by the Vatican and are unfortunately beyond our control.
Because the Vatican requires us to purchase tickets under specific names in advance, we are also unable to provide next-day or partial refunds for single participants outside of the terms and conditions, as this ensures access and availability for all guests.
We take your comments regarding the guide very seriously and will be investigating this matter further. We got separated from the group because headphones stop working so we missed the last part of the tour but our tour guide was very knowledgable .

I missed out St. Peter tomb, actually we already there, but she did not tell us.re ere. but she did not point it out to us.

Did not get what we paid for.
We paid for an early entrance to the Vatican and Sistine Chapel however, the guide gave us a historical overview before entering, so we went in with the crowds. She did give us valuable information on getting into St Peter's since she could not gain entrance with the group. Were never offered a partial refund.

The special access passage between the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica is closed on Wednesdays and subject to other unexpected closures during special celebrations/festivities, including the Easter ceremonies. On such days we will instead explore the magnificent Pinoteca Gallery.
Please accept our sincerest apologies that this experience fell short of the high standards we strive to provide.

we had a tour of the roman colosseum…
we had a tour of the roman colosseum and forum on oct 19 2025. the rome half marathon was that day so we were unable to get to the meeting location on time. during the time we were attempting to get to the arrival point we called the office 3 times. there is no way to talk to your guide if you are having troubles. also i have sent 2 emails to the front office telling about the problem and have received no compensation or reply. we were not the only people on this tour that had that problem .

I am sorry to hear of your issues on the Colosseum trip.
We do not provide guide numbers to guard the enjoyment of the tour for all Guests. We do not want guests experience disrupted with their phone going off during the tour.
The Marathon is a challenging experience as it can change last minute where the police close off, which means we have last minute movements to make.
We ask all guests to be there 15 mins before the tour start as the tickets are timed, we are unable to join you up on the tour once it has started. If we delayed too long, the whole group would not be able to take the tour.
In relation to your email, I can see you emailed on the 18th December and it said I will send more details to you, thank you and then we have not received anything further.

Best tours I have ever taken.
We had come from the other side of the world and I decided to book with you for two tours. Both tours had amazing guides and we had amazing experiences at both The Colosseum and Vatican. I do want to add our guide at The Vatican was exceptional and his knowledge and presentation quite amazing. He told the stories and I felt as if I was right there. We came to Rome to see and hear about the history and were not disappointed. Thank you and I have recommended your tours to many people. I do want to say I heard about you through a lady who lives in Rome thru her you tube channel Rome Wise. She said she recommends your tours highly and she was right.

Good docent who provided interesting stories.
it would be helpful if they quote gave ideas for interesting pictures - such as in the Sistine. Chapel - "lay on the floor to take a picture ", but did not. Di highlight views of the dome in the morning. Good job of telling the story of salvation on the ceiling of the Sistine chapel, wish it was a big longer - or less time in the museum, and more time in the Sistine chapel to just take it all in.

A great beginning
While I was able to begin the tour, I became ill and was unable to finish it. However, the amount of information that our tour guide provided us with while I was still participating was incredible. He wasn’t reading off of a sheet. He wasn’t looking things up. He just knew everything as we progressed through. And I was very thankful that he knew how to navigate and communicate with the security on the property so that I would not be sick IN the Sistine Chapel. I hope to return someday to finish the tour.

I can see you are scheduled for Feb 2026.
We do not use an app, so apologies if you have been informed this. You may have rung when the EU team were out of office and the US side do use an app for other brands
Our process is easy, you do not need tickets. All you need to do is meet the guide 15 mins prior to the start with your booking ref number and name.
They have the tickets and everything required for the tour.
We hope you enjoy when you take your tour in February.
